As the Black Cicada Gallery is in my neighborhood, I dropped in on a whim to see if they could make a stud for me as I had recently lost the one I wore. Wow, what a great whim. Lucas sat with me and discussed the various stones, noticed that I had fatter ear lobes and suggested that a longer pole would be more comfortable and overall was just incredible. I decided on a tourmaline, but couldn't decide if I wanted a light or dark green, so Lucas mocked up a setting for each to help me choose. I couldn't decide and wound up buying both!

Lucas's did such a good job on my studs, that I took my mum's eternity ring to see if he could repair it. The ring had had to be cut off when my mum was going through chemo and we thought it was pretty much destroyed. The ring had been cut open and bent, two sapphires had been lost and the setting was worn and the other stones were in danger of falling out. After Lucas finished with it, my mum said it looks just like it did the day my dad gave it to her 66 years ago.

Lucas did an amazing job with this ring, as I knew he would. The finished ring exceeded my expectations and I absolutely love it, as would my late mum who previously owned it and also repurposed it once before this. I am in awe of the engagement ring that Lukas designed & made for my now wife. Watching Lukas sit & listen to what my now wife was describing that she liked & then sketch different ring designs was something else!
I think the ring is even more amazing than we ever thought!
An added amazing touch was that Lukas provided us with photos throughout the process of him making the ring so we have those amazing photos to cherish forever.
Lukas also worked amazingly with our jeweler, whom he has worked with for many years, to source the exquisite clear & pink diamonds.

Lucas is a really wonderful jeweller/artist/designer. He helped me and my then fiancée create a stunning engagement ring around an opal we had found, a wedding band to complement and cuff links for my husband.

I had a mish-mash of white gold rings, a large oval sapphire and different sized diamonds.
I somehow found Lucas online and from the get-go communication was very easy. He had the sapphire reshaped to a pear and made me a beautiful ring out of all the bits. I was thrilled with the result. I would never have worn the old rings, but what he created, I wear every day. I would thoroughly recommend his workmanship and creativity.

I am sooooo lucky I found Lucas just by googling jewelers who work with coloured stones, after I didn’t like anything I saw in stores.
