Kimo Estate

My partner and I recently got married at Kimo Estate and stayed at the JR Eco Hut while our immediate family and bridal party stayed in the remaining cottages and huts. The whole team at Kimo were amazing with their coordination of my wedding, organising of catering and hospitality. My partner and I couldn’t be happier with a beautiful ceremony at the Homestead, a magical reception at the Grain Shed and a stunning view from our beautiful Eco Hut. We got to bring our little furbaby with us who also had a fab time being the ring bearer!

My partner and I loved our stay so much that we’ve already decided we want to have a getaway in one of the huts during winter as well! The night sky is amazing at night and the e felt so relaxed!

Amazing retreat venue and surrounds. Absolutly brilliant and could not be more peaceful. Beautiful people as well. Do yourself a favour and visit. You will not be disappointed.

We had the most incredible time at Sweeney's Hut - Every aspect of our stay was 5 stars! The view, location, hot tub, food and interiors were stunning. The morning fog felt as though we were above the clouds. Such a beautifully unique experience - the only downside was that we couldn't stay longer!

I surprised my husband for his 30th birthday to a stay at Fergo’s hut & it was so surreal. The views, The attention to detail from the staff, The amenities, absolutely amazing. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to try something new!

We stayed at shearers quarters at Kimo over the weekend and we were thrilled!!
We loved our accommodation the minute we drove up and saw the beautiful building that was filled with so much character. As we walked in the door we all said wow! It was homely with a touch of luxury too. The facilities are so sweet set amongst a very peaceful farm. We loved sitting on the deck watching the sun set and then sitting around the fire. The shower room and outhouse are so lovely and the shower was divine.

We had 6 people stay but the quarters can accommodate 12!! There is more than enough room with a massive table for everyone to fit around.

The panty in the kitchen has all that we needed to cook, sit on the deck, play games and enjoy a lovely coffee.

The communication from the host was impressive with nothing left out. We are so thankful we got to experience our time at Kimo and look forward to when we can return again!

If your looking for a getaway with spectacular scenery, the beautiful views from these adorable cottages are Magic! The service provided by Michelle during our stay was excellent. Clear and helpful directions, easy access, not too far from town. The cottages are Comfortable, Clean, tidy and
Spacious with Firewood provided and we were lucky enough to cook on a brand new Weber 😀 Thanks Michelle we had a gorgeous and relaxing weekend!

What a beautiful place, stayed at the Sweeney's Hut and it was really well setup, views are amazing, so peaceful and quiet. Hot tub is a great place to soak up the view or enjoy the stars.
Provided breakfast was perfect, plenty of food and fresh as well. Highly recommended for a few days away to disconnect

Stayed at Fergo's hut - the hut is really modern + cozy and the views are spectacular! Host was really attentive and the breakfast provided was fantastic.

Cooking and BBQ equipment, cutlery and utensils are provided. Toiletries and towels are all there.

Just be aware as this is in the country side there will be some bugs.

A beautiful place, drenching in peace, uninterrupted views and lots of loving touches. We ordered the full food experience and it was fun exploring all the treats.

Our stay at Kimo Estate was like no other! We have honestly never had a stay as unique as Kimo. The eco huts we stayed in were absolutely beautiful. Love how you're totally off grid. Each hut is on top of a mountain, and you have views over the whole valley. It's the perfect place for a secluded getaway or a trip with a loved one. Will definitely be returning!

Stayed in the little cottage near the shearing quarters. Absolutely gorgeous. Perfect. The bugs are not a problem. Would recommend staying here to everyone. Will most definitely be back.

My other half and I celebrated our anniversary here. Our night was magical! Such a beautifully designed, eco friendly and spotless place! Views are incredible, we even had some cows greet us in the morning as we cooked up breakie. Highly recommend!

KIMO will always be a special place for us as we celebrated our beautiful wedding day here. Emelia and the KIMO Team were so spectacular to us and we could not have had a more perfect day!

This is the 3rd time we've stayed here and we'll be back. It's rare to find a place that's put the thought into the bits that matter, like the warm comfortable bed,fluffy white towels, great indoor and outdoor spaces, rustic kitchen but still with electric stove and everything you need for a long weekend. We'll be back even if the drive is a little far from Sydney.

We had an amazing experience at JRs Hut. The weather was rainy/ cloudy the entire time, but this made it even more cosy - and the views were still spectacular. The hot tub was very welcome with the cold weather. The hut is compact with one sink for bathroom/cooking needs, and the bedroom/leisure space is maximised. If you have trouble sleeping with noise, bring some earplugs. If you love immersing yourself in the countryside, the sheep, cows and cockatoos can be heard all night and the magpies will come play on the roof at dawn. All part of the fun!

This stay is all about slow living and simple pleasures. Bring your electricals charged, as there are limited USB charging outlets. Be prepared to cook your hot meals on the mini barbecue. The food supplies are kept cool until you're ready and are truly delicious. Give yourself time to clean everything up before checkout.

One day wasn't enough to truly explore and make best use of the tub, so I hope to be back in the future for more unwinding!

1/9/22 stayed at flash jacks Gundagai owned by kimo estate a converted nuns hostel. Absolutely well done, beautiful rooms , nothing spared on their fit out. Then to kimo estate for a wedding ceremony in the homestead garden, a great venue, then to the converted shearer’s shed for the wedding reception , very professional a beautiful country wedding experience.
