Goulburn River

Travelled by boat from nagambie up river about 16 klms enjoyed the view passed both wineries. As it was a warm day we did this in the morning.

A lovely river, that has numerous access points, for fishing boating, picnics or just exploring.

So serene! New facilities have been built. Very family friendly, great playground and close to the caravan park

Calm, lazy, seating, excellent picnic spot, fishing, photos, painting, bbqs gazebos, play equipment, toilets, be very aware of where your children are as water is enticing,. Occasionally Koalas, in the trees. Lots of bird life..

A picturesque little river we run near along the tallarook rail trail. Several wonderful little spots can be found along the way. We've seen several people fishing along its banks and the occasional swimmer. Just depends on where you are along the river.

Love it .weather can make or break your weekend but great for fly-fishing as that's what I do when I get there

My goto fishing destination. Access is fantastic between Murchison and Undera. Most 2wd or even family sedans can navigate the regularly graded bush tracks. Free camping and pet friendly throughout the whole. Plenty of firewood lying around and not a million people like you get on the Murray. Fishing is alot slower since the Blackwater of 2016 but still plenty of quality fish to be caught.

The camping area here has been updated recently with more camp spots more wet parking for boats a new concert boat ramp and new toilet facilities.

We had a very nice picnic lunch on the river bank. It's a great location & we will return.

Great river to plunge into on a hot day. It's very cold as the water from lake eildon is released from low down in the spillway.

The Goulburn river is a sensational place to go for a trout fish. Great access around the bridges. Worth the trip

Still a bit muddy from the rain but with a 4 wheel drive you should be choice 😉

The Goulburn is a moderately long River and some parts are hard to access. The best places to access it (for picnicking etc) are the parks in Seymour, lake Nagambie, kirwans bridge. You can see it from Shepparton (near aquamoves) but it's usually fairly low but you can walk near it).

Nice Park beside the river for lunch. dinner. Swings for kids, b-barcue, restrooms etc.

Pretty river, great to explore especially the upper reaches.

To low in winter however still premium trout fishery.

Peaceful and beautiful place. It's nice to just sit and enjoy the beauty of nature.

At Goulburn River I went fishing I got a few bites, but didn't catch anything, the scenery was excellent though.
