Cadogan Country House

Cadogan Country House is a beautiful and idyllic House on a magnificent property just west of Bathurst. I had my team staying there for a sporting event and it was amazing. Luxurious and completely self sufficient. Everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is amazing and for the chef in your group, they'll love the setup and equipment. The bedrooms are also 5 star with the most incredible ensuites in every bedroom. The gardens are also beautiful and we didn't want to leave. Everything about the place oozes luxury. Love it.

Recently ventured into the wild realms of Cadogan Country House. Each room, a sanctuary with its own ensuite - a slice of luxury in the chaos of existence. The backyard, a fiery pit of communion, best enjoyed with comrades and cocktails. Kitchen's armed to the teeth, every culinary weapon imaginable. Now, here's the twist in our etherial escapade - a cow, bold and bewildered, gatecrashed our garden soiree. It happily refrained from our cocktails, making it a welcome addition to the party. Around us, chickens and the raw pulse of nature. For a band of merry wanderers, this place is a delirious dream. Unquestionably unforgettable!

The house is cleaner than a 5 star hotel with en-suite in every room. The kitchen is very well equipped with spotlessly clean pots and pans. The house is situated away from the main road hence is quiet and peaceful. The manicured garden is beautiful with many varieties of plants and flowers. The farm tour was fantastic, a truly unique experience. Our warm and friendly hosts, Jane and Mark, were very prompt in attending to our needs and queries. Will definitely stay here if we are visiting Orange again in the future.

We were at Cadogan country house for 4 nights in July. We had a wonderful time. The house is beautifully decorated and very luxurious. Great views and very serene environment. Mark and Jane have thought of everything that one might need - from picnic sets , bed warmers in every room, firewood , coffee pods , games etc to last us all days. The kids absolutely loved the maze at their property. The house itself is very big with multiple entertainment areas.

Mark took us on a farm tour and spend the morning with us sharing his passion for cattle.

Mark and Jane were fantastic hosts, great communicators and had awesome recommendations on what’s good around Orange. Would love to come back here.

Myself, my husband, and my parents stayed at Jane and Mark’s lovely Cadogan home over the April long weekend and could not have been more impressed! The home itself has been recently renovated and is absolutely stunning - the decor is beautiful, the layout is extremely functional, and the amenities leave nothing to be desired. The hosts themselves are also lovely, accommodating, and gracious. They left us a delicious little basket full of goodies and even offered to take us on a ride around the farm - an offer we eagerly took them up on. The property is amazing and there was so much to see and learn. Thanks for everything Mark and Jane, we will definitely be back!

We just finished a 4 night stay with 5 couples so a full house . We had everything we needed and plenty of creative spaces throughout the house to enjoy each other’s company . Stunning luxury features, spacious bedrooms with ensuite in each room which was very special. Delightful well kept flourishing gardens and lawns, with unique spaces to relax . Farm activities included tours and walks of the huge property , meeting the cattle up close and collecting eggs and fresh produce grown on the land.
Great hospitality from the hosts nothing was a problem , easy to find and lots to do in the local wineries and town of Orange .

This is an amazing property. Very private and beautiful inside and out. Bedrooms and ensuites are great for a group. Log fire in the lounge room and great fire pit in the garden. Ducted air throughout and heated floors in bathrooms. Kitchen extremely well equipped with everything you could need. We had Richard Learmonth cook a meal for us on the Sat night which was very special (unique experience on website). Great communication by owner. We left something behind which they mailed back to us with no issues. Would highly recommend. Maze is not at the property but just down the road and also a must do. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Thank you Jane and Mark for an absolutely wonderful country retreat. Our favourite farm stay ever! Your country house is absolutely stunning, the expansive windows, cottage garden & fire pit made our stay so special. You are so incredibly generous with your time, a wonderful farm tour & a local produce welcome hamper. You thought of absolutely everything to make our stay perfect, including every kitchen appliance we could need, fully equipped bathrooms, chopped wood for the fire, games & complete privacy & serenity. It was great to see life on a working farm & the freedom to wander the fields, explore the maze & completely unwind and get back to nature was priceless. For the adults you had every luxury and the kids loved playing with Peggy, collecting eggs and exploring. We cannot wait to return. Thank you!

What a find. Cadogan Country House has it all. We have just had the best weekend away. 5 luxurious bedrooms, all with ensuites, and a kitchen dining and lounge for entertaining. Mark was an amazing host in the farm tour and the Maze is well worth the visit. Thanks for such a memorable and fun experience. We will be back.

We spent a weekend at Cadogan Country House in July. Mark and Jane are superb hosts and enthusiastic about shareing the joys of their superb Wagyu raising property with their guests. Accommodation leaves nothing to be desired and our hosts went out of their way to make sure we lacked nothing. The farm tour was really great fun and we were even able to watch the soaring eagles that have permanent nests on the property. The full size challenging maze is another feature. Penny King.

We enjoyed our stay at cadogen country house with a group of friends. The house is amazing, every bedroom is ensuite. The kitchen is very well equipped crockery, cutlery and even a fancy coffee maker. House is clean and newly renovated, outside the garden is well tendered and manicured lawns. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Beyond the garden the house is surrounded by thousands of acres of green pastures.
The highlights of our stay was a 3 hour tour of the farm. Mark the owner gave us an interesting account of his farm and his cattle, how he managed his farm and animals. Now I have an idea how cattle farming is run.
Cadogen house is worth a second visit in the future.

Just an amazing house and property, so very well appointed. Each lovely bedroom has its own bathroom. There are so many choices inside the house and outside for dining and relaxing. The large windows, the fireplace inside, firepit outside, combine with beautiful views across the farm and the forest, and the valley. The gardens were amazing, just spending time in them was relaxing and inspiring. The kitchen is well appointed, there are two choices for barbecues, out on the deck or down by the Maze.

We explored the Orange Food and Wine Festival, and wandered around historic Canowindra, checking out some amazing local shops, and we visited The Ages of the Fishes Museum. We enjoyed a dinner at Lolli Redini in Orange, and we also explored Bathurst with an amazing lunch at Dogwood Box. Cadogan Country House is right in between Orange and Bathurst, a short drive to either. We would have loved more time to explore Millthorpe and many other great villages and towns in the area. The food and wine in the Orange region is amazing, So many beautiful winery's and restaurants.

One of the experiences we will never forget, is going on a farm tour with the property owners Jane and Mark Holman. Meeting Jane and Mark is a wonderful experience in itself. We learnt so much, they are amazing people, and quite inspiring. There are terrific and generous people, and they took us in their utes to some amazing parts of the farm with the optional farm tour. Learning about the region's history, seeing two eagles nests, a hand dug well, and working our way through and around some of their amazing Wagyu Cattle. Mark and Jane have installed some amazing technology to drive irrigation and water for the cattle, and learning about their farming journey and experience was wonderful. Before arriving we had arranged with Jane to have some of the farm's Wagyu Beef ready for us to Barbecue. Yum!!

We will go back. We want to experience the farm in the middle of winter as well. And we have so much more to see in the region.

The property is so very pretty, we had an amazing experience. We can't speak highly enough of our time there.

A group of us stayed at Cadogan Country House and the house is beautiful!!! It was very comfy and beautifully decorated. It had everything you could possibly need. The views from every window was beautiful. A very relaxing space!!!

We stayed here with family members a few months ago and had the most amazing, relaxing time we've ever had. It was just what the doctor had ordered after a year of lockdowns, restrictions and social distancing.

The hospitality was superb. We felt very well looked after, more like guests in their actual home.

The experience was extraordinary. The fresh air, the green hills, the big sky, the quiet - a balm for the soul. We all returned to the city re-energised and longing for the day we can return.

We loved it so much at Easter we had to return. Jane & Mark, you are brilliant hosts. As guests we felt like you really wanted to make it great for our whole family. So a very big thanks from us all and we look forward to our next visit to Cadogan

What a beautiful country home this is. Every little detail thought through, the beds were so comfortable and the property was immaculate. We really needed another few nights there. Such a lovely stay we had and we hope to return very soon. Thanks so much Jane for a gorgeous stay!

Luxury all the way with very comfortable beds, under floor heating in the ensuite and everything provided to ensure a comfortable stay.
All that combined with the picturesque countryside and a guided tour which led us past a pair of wedge-tailed eagles which nest on the property made for a great weekend with friends.
Cannot reccommend it highly enough.
