Australia Post - Kingsford Post Shop

An excellent Post Office staffed by fantastic people who work exceptionally hard under the most trying environment we’ve all been subject to these last, almost, 2 years. They really have to plumb the depths of their beings to manufacture such patience and industriousness in the face of what can aptly be characterised as hostility by a lot of customers. I’ve seen it while waiting in the queue. They meet it head on with grace and steel spines. Charlie, Richard, Rhonda, Maria and Guy just get on with it and my dealings with them have been the most pleasant I’ve experienced in all the time I have been going there. I’ve lived in the Daceyville / Kingsford area all my 57 years; as soon as I was old enough to attend to my postal needs I’ve only come across wonderful staff in that time.

Recently, the parcel volumes - as everyone is aware - have been monumental. It’s a daily deluge...I’m left in bewilderment and admiration as to how courteous and professional the team is while they take on that unbearable weight along with attending to a myriad of other daily duties; all in the shadow of a considerable wave of grief from several customers. The few occasions I’ve seen unfortunate examples of this were scenes I preferred not to have witnessed. The aggro and petulance was staggering.

The Kingsford Post Shop staff has got a terrific blend of personalities and their interactions make for a strong, positive atmosphere every time I walk through the door. Your hard work is genuinely much appreciated. You make me smile every time.

In addition to my comments from the beginning of the year, Kingsford Post Shop has new management. The energetic force of nature Patt is at the helm and she has led the team through a Winter that saw staff shortages, snaking customer queues and the ever increasing parcel loads. Of course, this is ongoing, but Patt’s smooth application of order and smiling charisma puts everything right. Never has a high standard been set with such disarming pleasantness and more grace.

Patt has enhanced the convivial atmosphere at Kingsford Post Shop with her effortless ability to keep it all flowing with flair and precision which seems to galvanise the staff…making for a great visit. Cavalcades of Kudos to you guys !! Cheers and many thanks !!!!

The staff at the counters are doing their best despite the overload of parcels and deliveries during lockdown. I love the lady who is outspoken. She makes me laugh.

Kingsford PO are usually really busy, yet they take time to address each enquiry and are helpful to the max. I had an issue with an overdue mail item, to which they admitted human error and didn't try to make excuses, which is a fantastic response. Yes they're human, and probably don't deserve some of the negative reviews, considering that they've been working in a very challenging environment especially in recent times. Thank you so much for your honesty, ethics and great service.

Have been to this post office various times - passport photos, picking up packages, mailing addresses to and everyone is very friendly and super efficient!

Kingsford Post Office is a small office, but it is my favourite in this area and I always choose to go there rather than the other ones in this location. The service is exceptional and fast, and all the staff is very friendly, helpful, and professional. During my last visit Richard was very helpful with passport applications for my kids, plus he was very patient and understanding while taking photos of my little daughter. Thank you for your great service everyone there!

The best customer service
Today I went to this post office and asked about changing my delivery address to parcel locker instead from one of the staff members. I didn’t know his name. He’s Asian and really helpful. He recommended me to download post office app which I did. He tried to help changing my delivery details but we couldn’t do it because the item was already leaving to delivery. In the afternoon I got the message that my parcel is ready to collect from the parcel locker. I don’t know how many customers he’s been served a day but he remembered me. Thank you so much. The best customer service ever. You really make my day 🙏😊

The old lady staff( apologize for my language) was truly helpful and kind. She went above and beyond to help me in the afternoon 16 Oct to find me the missing parcel! The courier "left the parcel in a safe place" but yet I went to check outside right away and didn't find anything. For some reason the parcel was taken back to Post Office and was never "left in a safe place". If I didn't visit the post office and the lady staff didn't bother to check at the back, I could have lost it as there is no record where it is actually!

The lady has always been kind and helpful to customers, I've seen her many times and am truly impressed with how she handles all different situations and provides the best service she can.

The best service I could have ever imagined to receive was from Sharon Piper from Australia Post Kingsford! She looked after me, called me back, followed up, took my calls, actioned everything immediately, was sweet, kind, understanding and listened and was SO helpful! I nominate her best employee - the customer service she provided went beyond my expectations. Thank you Sharon :)

The young staff are very friendly. The oldest granny that works there has gotten things wrong multiple times and only relented when I got another staff member to go check passport rules himself by calling up their head office. Never had an issue collecting mail, and only rarely do posties leave a "you were away" letter without bothering to actually ring. Though that isn't really relevant these days because there are so many mailbox thefts that delivery isn't guaranteed to just get stolen.

This is my local post office. Never had any problems. Always friendly and professional service. Writing this because I see all the negative reviews (was just checking opening hours Saturday), I dont think they are fair. So many entitled people i guess :):):):)

The lady at the counter has a lot to say. She got my laptop wrapped, taped and boxed super quickly. It was shipped to the service centre on time. Very smooth experience.

Attentive, friendly, caring staff. This has been my regular post office for over a year now and I appreciate the service I receive from the staff. Recently, I had a particularly challenging day and whilst buying stamps and withdrawing money I stuffed up my pin number and was locked out of my banking account. Staff member Amy and the manager Rowan allowed me the space and time to talk to my bank on my mobile (40 min wait time) and rectify the matter so that I could finalise the transactions. Given that I live with Post traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and stressful situations often cause me to flee - the service and kindness these women offered as well as the non-judgemental vibe by other staff enabled me to feel safe and human again.

so far for me is good. the young Staff is good. The old ones makes life tough. Don't know why they still want this job if they don't want to serve customers

Came to pick up parcel at 8:30, opens at 9am.
Lady that was filling parcel lockers approached me and offered her service outside of open hours.

Don't know why theres such bad reviews of this place.
