Found this hidden gem through google. Pictures shared are just too tempting. So we decided to give it a try.

Amazed by the bacon, perfectly cooked and is not too salty. Fried egg with the perfect running yolk. There’s a sausage that is quite nice as well, first time having that. Overall, very good

Beef burger 3.5/5
Chips are one of the best. But what’s disappointed me is the beef patty, a little bit dry and bland. The bacon and sauce blend in well. Can be improved for sure.

Açai bowl 4.5/5
They gave lots of muesli and fruits. Quite a big bowl.

Paragon espresso is a revolution in coffee… a new era for espressos, recently added to the coffee menu at Silver Fox.

Its zesty, zingy nature is sheer delight to the taste buds.

The espresso is extracted over a “gold”, cold metal ball, which modifies the volatile compounds sufficiently to produce a far superior espresso.

Who would have thought coffee could go through such a leap in innovation and quality!!

As the many readers of my reviews know, I travel, I hunt, for a great coffee… it may be obsessive, but so be it!

The Silver Fox in Mortdale produces one of the most consistently exquisite coffees.

The ultimate equipment, like the $40k grinder, ensures every coffee is peak-quality. It also relieves that barista-anxiety you have, wondering “who’s going to be on barista today?”

The Silver Fox is family-run, in conjunction with several staff assisting in front and a team of excellent chefs in kitchen.

They always have a cheery welcome, a kind word, a humorous quip or a short chat if time permits.

Highly recommended!

… almost forgot the most important thing… it’s one of the very few coffee shop/cafes who you can rely on to use 100% fresh, cold milk in every jug. Well done team!

Great local cafe in Mortdale coffee could be better however the brunch was amazing. I had the baba bowl and it definitely satisfied my egg cravings.

I don’t think I’ve ever been to another cafe in my lifetime where I’ve been WOW’d by every single item on the menu!!!! These guys are absolutely incredible with devising dishes to be flavourful and totally gorgeoussssss! Can’t wait to return to see and taste more stunning creations by the talented team! You must visit - the portions are perfect, well priced and everything is so tempting! 😋

Had a great lunch at Silver Fox Cafe. The croissant used with the eggs bene is such a great idea and very tasty. The big brekky was nice and very filling, Schnitty was a bit dry, the Thai beef salad was really good, the hangover cure burger was tasty, needs more fat to cure a hangover lol Pancakes were delish and the fox burger was extremely yummy! The outdoor area is a nice touch and its sheltered from the weather. Good attentive service. Definitely a great place to visit!

Service was prompt, and was asked for coffee upon being seated. The waitress gave helpful menu recommendations!
The crispy fries were amazing!
The outdoor seating area made the entire meal more enjoyable and to top off the experience, we got some free marshmallows when paying our bill.

We are from Perth and the one cafe we can recommend from our visit here is Silver Fox. It has a wonderful breakfast and lunch menu. The owners are wonderful and welcoming and the staff are very friendly. Great value for money!

Went here for breakfast with my wife and the service we received along with the food was top notch. She’s a tough one to impress especially with food but she loved it. Will be coming back for sure !

Atmosphere: buzzing with life and energy, we had a mix of old school 70's music and pop when we went, outdoors area at the front and green covered area at the back. great to see a mix of crowds different aged groups enjoying the great food!

Food: Delicious combination of flavours for the chicken burger, just the right crispy chicken piece with adequate sauce to contrast in the mouth, with just 'wow' perfectly fried chips !

The coffee and pancakes were on point also!

We headed to Mortdale to try out the new kid on the block, the Silver Fox Cafe. In a area with plenty of bakeries, charcoal chicken shops and grocery stores, Mortdale has been missing a quality cafe. This certainly fills that void. As soon as you enter this cafe, it feels fresh and the decor is on trend. Pine wooden pieces, cement floors and a touch of white, the cafe feels modern and we love the Kate Moss artwork in the back room. There’s also an outdoor area if you’d prefer to sit outside.

We meet the delightful owners, and the staff working on the day are equally as nice. We felt welcomed and comfortable instantaneously.

We peruse the menu and honestly everything appealed to us. We love that the menu items are named after RnB influences. We knew the pancakes were a must order and they certainly did not disappoint. Light and fluffy banana pancakes, topped with a brûlée’d banana, and decorated like a work of art with white chocolate, hazlenut praline and blackberries, topped with taro ice cream. Whilst this makes for a very instagrammable dish, it makes for a better dish to actually eat. We love this meal and would definitely go back just for this.

Another sweet choice was the “Ex-straw-binary” - the in house made crunchy coconut granola, topped with strawberry yoghurt mousse, fresh berries, strawberry coulis and a chocolate basil crumb. The flavour combinations were brilliant and it was certainly a very generous serving.

We also had a more savoury dish- Baba’s Bowl - eggs scrambled with feta, sautéed mix of mushrooms, onion and chorizo, long pepper, garlic yoghurt, Ajvar, chilli and basil oil served with sourdough. Super delicious combo and very filling too! This was a new dish to the menu and we think it should stay.

Other selections on the all day brunch menu include spiced pakora, a beetroot medley and also a pink and purple poke. Silver Fox cafe also have a lunch menu and the beetroot stained salmon would be something we’re keen to try. Burgers, pasta and lamb shoulder are also available.

Drink wise the cafe use Pablo and Rusty’s coffee as their house blend. You’ll find a great range of juices and sometimes even some specials like a strawberry latte!

We love this cafe and thoroughly recommend getting in early. The instagrammable, palate pleasing dishes are served by a family of people who clearly know the hospitality industry.

I usually write a very long review but for Silver Fox i got not much to say but Amazing ❤ The pancakes were probably one of the most beautiful pancakes i’ve ever seen, not just beautiful to the eyes but to the palate as well. Pancakes were soft but not dry, and even with the caramel sauce the whole thing was well balance, not too sweet. My boyfriend loved his deli toast as well. We went there on a Sunday so we had the weekend special boba coffee, the coffee was fine but my only disappointment was that the pearls weren’t the typical tapioca pearls but it was a jelly kind.

A more up-market cafe without the big cost. A really fantastic and tasty menu with really filling and healthy dishes! This was my second visit and they did not disappoint! The coffee was excellent and on my way out I tried a marsala chai latte and I was blown away..not many cafes make chai that good! If you're after a really nice meal that's not just burgers and chips (although they have an excellent fried chicken burger on the menu) definately give them a try!

Love this place! Food here is delicious! Here is a photo of couple of my favourite dishes (Fun guy toast and grilled salmon).

Food was amazing, had the braised lamb which was delicious! Mum had the baba bowl and sis had the pancakes which exceeded expectations (see pic). Staff were very friendly all with a smile on the face. Good place to start your day :)

Prompt service, great coffee options (cold brew and batch brew available). Food menu looks good too, and a lovely courtyard to sit out the back.
