Over the years I have had many treasured pictures framed with Winkel Galleries and every single time I have walked out so happy and confident that I was getting exactly what I wanted. The owner gives great advise as to what frames and boarders I should go with to bring out the best in my art works. The quality of the finished jobs are superb every single time. I will always be using this framing business cause I can trust that I will always get exactly what I want. I have recommended Winkel Galleries to so many people and everyone has come back to me with rave reviews.

Unlike some of the other reviewers, I had a really positive experience here. I wandered in with my 4 month old baby (with a pram) and she was very accommodating and helped me get through the double doors. I had walked past a number of times and admired an oil on canvas in the window and wanted to ask who the artist was out of interest. And she was very kind in sharing and we had a nice chat even though she probably presumed that I couldn't afford to purchase anything (some of the art goes for thousands which is completely understandable as the pieces are stunning). Gorgeous beach themed artwork in this little shop.

I have been many time to that Gallery for I find it a gem in the art of framing, which is why I have quite a few pictures and paintings framed by her in my home. It's beautiful quality work, not mass production. Besides that, the service is very great even funny and light, but most importantly the right artistic frame makes any painting or picture even better. I am very happy with the service and more so with the quality of the art work.

I've been going to see Panna at Winkel Galleries for at least 8 years, for framing everything from inexpensive posters and travel souvenirs to my Academic certificates, and art picked up along the way. I've always been so happy with the service and advice Panna provides, she has a terrific skill in framing and is always happy to discuss ideas on framing and artists, what's going on in the creative landscape. I whole heartedly recommend her!!

I highly recommend using Winkle gallery to frame anything. Panna provides excellent quality framing for more than half the cost of other eastern suburb framers. I passed on her details to a friend and can confirm she was 40% of overall cost of a Bondi framer.
I get that she doesn’t like wasting her precious framing time on people looking at art they can’t afford. It would annoy me too.
If you’re after an excellent framer in the East, go nowhere else.
Great place!

Winkel galleries has been framing my work for many years. As an artist I don't always know how to frame my work well, the framer is patient and really knows what she's doing, beautiful work, and an all round good experience.

Panna framed 2 very precious pieces for us with sensitivity, creativity and uncompromising attention to detail. Thanks so much.

My partner and I walked into the gallery to browse, the gallery had some lovely work, but as soon as we walked in there was an air of unwelcomeness and a cold demeanour from the woman working there. She kept her eyes on us like she suspected we would steal something, which we definitely didn't give her any reason to think that. When we thanked her and left she followed us out of the store and stood watching us walk up the street. We both felt it was a really strange experience, and googled the place to see if any other reviews suggested similar experiences, and clearly the lass that works there has a habit of being a bit rude/unfriendly. Definitely makes the list of weirder experiences we've had.

One Saturday morning after breakfast with my kids (age 2 & 5) we came cross this gallery and stopped outside to admire the artwork hanging in the window, unbeknown to me along came the shopkeeper from behind and then accused my kids of smudging her windows with dirty fingers even though she did not witness it or were we guilty. It's disappointing to see someone so small minded and bullying little kids for such small matter. Safe to say we walked off immediately and would never step foot or walk near this horrible corner shop again. If you are an artist, I hope that you think twice having your work represented by this gallery.

I had driven past Winkel gallery on several occasions and admired the surf orientated art in the window display. I am a developer and often need art for my projects and also for my own home.
Last Friday I was looking at a job in Coogee and decided to pop into Winkel Gallery on the way back to other project. It was 10.20am and the website and sign state the gallery is open from 10am but the double doors at the entrance were locked. I phoned the number on the display and the lady who answered the phone informed me that the gallery IS open. The lady came down some internal stairs at the rear of the gallery and unlocked the doors.
She looked me up and down in a manner which was just unbelievably rude and then asked me
"Is there anything I can help you with" I swear. I have never felt so angered and appalled by the way that horrible lady addressed me. She talked down to me and made me feel belittled.
To think it could not have got any worst
I then informed her that I wanted to purchase a photo from the gallery but after the reception would not give her one single cent of my money.
She then informed me that
IT WOULD TAKE HALF AN HOUR TO CLEAN THE GALLERY AFTER I HAD BEEN IN IT.
this lady is ignorant, rude, stupid and has absolutely no people skills whatsoever
The most shocking experience of my life.

I went into the gallery to enquire about having some pictures framed. I expected some ideas and professional advice about what style / colour etc would suit the 2 pictures I wanted framed. I could sense from the start that the lady was impatient in helping and after about 20 minutes she said that she could not go on talking and showing me different frames. I thought it was rather strange as there was no one else in the shop . Unfortunately her out burst made me feel that I did not want to proceed with framing at her gallery as every time I would look at the pictures I would remember this disturbing negative experience. So my visit to the gallery was a waste of time for her and eventually for me !
Perhaps I had just caught her on a very bad day ...

I just walked in to this shop as I need a couple of paintings framed but I'm also looking for a couple of paintings or pictures for my new home. After walking through the door a lady came down and simply asked "Yes". I said I wanted to have a browse. She looked me up and down in what was the most disgusting look I can ever remember and then said "So"? She then said "I can't leave you alone in the shop" At that point I just walked out

Terrible experience and I can guarantee I will not be going in your shop again or giving you any business. Disgusting experience.

I was extremely disappointed by the owner/manager/employee in this shop. I Walked in after seeing a painting I loved and asked who the artist was and she refused to tell me the name because "people go on the internet and try to get it for cheaper".

Top sales skills mate!

When I asked if there were other images by the same artist she told me "this is too hard, the artist is XYZ, go on google, have a nice day".
