Future Cafe - Halal

Amazing! Simply amazing! The food was fresh and the portion was more than enough to feed an army. This is my second time coming here after 3 years and the service just keeps getting better and better! Each time the owner takes care of us and somehow always spoils us with a free dates or falafel's.. honestly if you're wanting good quality food and service that you won't forget, then you must come here if you're passing through Colac.

Awesome experience. The baklava, chicken roll, and chicken pizza were not only halal but also incredibly delicious. Overall, a great place for tasty halal options with a pleasant atmosphere.

Delicious meal with friendly and helpful service, definitely a favourite when passing through Colac. The Lamb Kebab Wrap was definitely a favourite and the baklava is amazing. The flavours are so delicious and memorable. Looking forward to my next visit.

Great coffee! The long black was smooth with a great kreme, not at all bitter.
The fetta and spinach patitsy was perfect. Slightly salted fetta against luscious spinach with perfectly cooked pastry.
The lamb pasties was to die for. Tender flavourful lamb with a rich sauce with fantastic depth of flavour.
Trade was brisk.
Don't be put off by the dark interior. The food is fantastic.

Soooooo good! Dare I say, some of the best food I've ever had! Seriously, no complaints at all. Except that I wish I didn't live 2.5 hours away 💔

If you are driving through Colac, definitely stop here, you will not be disappointed. I tried the pizza wrap and mixed kebab, both very good but the pizza was exceptional. Coffee was pretty decent too.

The cook and I assume owner was very lovely as well. All in all a 10/10 spot

Absolutely amazing food and service! Highly recommend. Ended up taking home some locally sourced goodies. Raspberry jam, some organic Earl Grey tea (sold by the gram) and a bottle of Great Ocean Road, lemon, orange and lime Syrup. So happy to find a halal place down this way. Fully enjoyed our brunch. Thank you!

This is truly a hidden gem in Colac’s Main Street. The atmosphere is nice and reflects its Lebanese heritage.The food here is incredible. The Macadamia gluten free Cheesecake is simply to die for! It was so fresh, so smooth and delicious, topped with a little white chocolate just for good measure. The lunch consisted of triangles with a reasonably finely chopped fresh salad consisting of tomato, parsley, herbs and finely sliced lamb, topped with house made garlic sauce, with the traditional spices. My goodness, the taste was just so refreshing and tasty on a hot day.
The main thing I must recommend that people try out is the owners Chai latte. Being a Melbournite, I thought I was expert level in the chai tasting department.Not so as it turns out. The owner is the BEST chai latte maker on the planet. Super delicious and better balanced than any chai I have ever ordered between Colac, Melbourne, Copenhagen and San Francisco!! I ended up ordering three in total and I was actually sad to awake back in Melbourne the next day because it was such a long drive to get another chai latte and lunch from Future Cafe! I honestly recommend that anyone with discerning tastebuds visit Ashraf at this gorgeous gem of a cafe. Happy Chai latte day coming up for you lucky visitors!!🫶🏻

Stopped in Colac on the way back to Melbourne from Twelve Apostles and had a delicious falafel salad, pita bread and dips. Will definitely be back when coming through this way

If you’re ever staying/going through Colac we recommend dropping into Future Cafe. It has a menu or Turkish and Lebanese food, we had a beautiful spinach and lamb pizza wrap with a perfect blend of pine nuts covered in yogurt superb and made from a delicious pastry. Which was wonderful and a great start to our day.

Didn't know what to expect from this dimly lit cafe but the food, coffee, desserts and service were amazing. Spinach and feta bread wraps and chocolate dates were exceptional.

Fresh tasty food and friendly service. This lamb salad had a fabulous combination in it - a bit of everything - feta, semi dried tomatoes, cabbage, carrot, lettuce, cucumber, and yoghurt and beautiful spices.
Great looking dessert cabinet too, and home baked sourdough bread and an impressive array of spices, nuts, dried fruits etc also for sale. A great find.

This has become my new ‘go to’ cafe - and I live in Canberra. The coffee is spectacular and the muffins are perfect. Go here.
