Astonishingly good. Good food was expected but the service was flawless and rooms were way above expectations, the record selection for the turntable was great. Our only minor point of contention was maybe too few Australian wines in the matched set, all good selections but I am sure an extra Aussie or two would fit in.

Amazing food, accomodation and staff! Dishes well thought out and paced presentation to keep you interested but not overwhelmed. Accomodation is next level with room in both time and space to relax and enjoy the well thought out ammenities. Highly recommended to go for a walk the morning after to explore where your food came from yesterday.

Brae is an absolute standout in the Australian fine dining world and a contender for the best restaurant I've ever visited. We ate at Brae for lunch on Saturday and stayed in the guest suites afterward. Food was exceptional and local, courses followed a nice progression and every single course was memorable. The wine pairing included some exceptional Australian wines (with appropriate bottle age!) including Tout Pres by Farr, and some interesting international choices including sake and cider.

Rooms were spacious and well appointed for a luxurious weekend escape. Quiet and peaceful. The light supper and morning breakfast meals provided in room were also highlights.

Cannot recommend highly enough. 5 stars.

My Brae experience now ticked off my bucket list. The food was amazing and the people were above and beyond. Dan was humble when accepting praise. The accommodation pays great attention to detail and very special.

Had dinner and stayed overnight for our 10 year wedding anniversary. Such a nice place and runs like a well oiled machine. Check-in and check out of the room seamless and easy, the room is perfectly designed an appointed for a couple. The food was amazing and substitutions for dietary preferences were easily managed including updates drink pairing for those selections. The dinner was perfectly timed and all the staff were great to interact with and operate as a team. Highly recommend!

The most incredible gastronomy experience and also the overnight stay. If you get the opportunity to stay overnight there, it’s a must. The room was fantastic, perfectly styled, fitting with everything you need and was the perfect finish to relax and unwind after the delicious lunch. The wine pairing and non-alcoholic pairing was well thought out with lots of variety. The food was so fresh & tasted amazing. You can tell there is a lot of creativity, love and thought into every dish. It was elegant and sophisticated without being too overly complicated. If you have any dietary requirements, they are very accommodating to these needs, but make sure you let them know in advance so to give the restaurant plenty of time to think of alternatives for you. One of the best meals and stats I’ve ever experience. I had high hopes and was not let down by this incredible experience. Thank you to the wonderful team at Brae!

The good food rewarded Brae, Three Hats! I can see why after such an amazing experience - it was well deserved.

Everything was prepared, cooked and presented beautifully. We opted to get the composite pairing (half alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks). Each drink paired perfectly with its dish and enhanced the flavour and experience.

We started with some fresh seafood. The rainbow trout was marvellous. The perfect bite! Scallops were super bouncy and light. The sea urchin was amazing, you could taste the sea and it was encased in a crunchy plum cup.

For hot dishes, we had this melt in your mouth pork jowl. It was smokey and full of flavour. The murray cod with butter sauce was cooked to perfection. It was delicate but meaty at the same time. The butter sauce was divine! - Please just lather me in it. The peking duck was out of this world! I could have easily eaten another 10 plates if given the opportunity. Brae vegetables looked stunning and contained 60 different ingredients from their farm. Yes, 60 in a single dish! Every bite was different and exciting.

Dessert was stunning. Each dish was done beautifully. It ended the meal on a sweet and high note.

Brae is now my new favourite restaurant of all time. Will definitely be back

Fantastic experience, amazing harmony between garden, kitchen and front of house. Everyone was excited to have all seats occupied again. We enjoyed our dinner experience and overnight stay immensely. Many thanks to all Brae staff.

We had a laugh reading one of the less-happy reviews claiming they could cook the same dishes at home. One of the exciting aspects of this dining experience is the mixture of senses in each dish. Even the salad looks like each leaf is carefully selected to create a taste explosion with every bite. We will happily return to Brae and I am certain that my kitchen fumbling won't even come close to Brae's creations.

We have been here a few times now and every time it is even better than we remember. Expensive but worth it. I love their values, ethics and all-around sustainability aspirations and would highly recommend.

Brae is the ultimate dining experience. The front of house team are amazing - the attention to detail and genuine service is unrivaled; there is a real care and evident human emotion with everything they are doing. The food is exceptional - it flows nicely and speaks of the local area. Drinks pairing is thoughtful and well articulated.

The restaurant is set on an organic farm where ingredients are sourced and freshly picked (or from local suppliers).

Every bite was creative and delicious, paired with matching non alcohol beverages.

We also stayed at their guest suite with breakfast the next day that included freshly baked pastries and bread!

Highly recommend this unique experience!

Fantastic experience! Amazing food and matching wines a must! Great service not ‘stuffy’ at all, we had a great table with a view into the kitchen. It’s also nice to see the grounds where much of the produce for the meal is sourced from. Lovely meal to celebrate a special occasion.

This experience was even better than my previous meal here in 2018. The winelist is shorter but carefully curated. The service was attentive and relaxed and less self-concious and overbearing than before. Overall - faultless.

It would be hard to imagine going to Brae from Melbourne and not staying the night because relaxing in their immaculate cosy rooms afterwards feels like part of the experience. Wonderful food and service in a peaceful and beautifully designed environment. Great work by Six Degrees on the architecture, and beautiful hand made ceramics by Cone 11.

We had the most beautiful lunch and stay at Brae. Apart from the food and wine being amazing and the accommodation absolutely gorgeous the service was second to none. A special mention the amazing, attentive, personable Alex, Sarah, Lyndal, Shak, Jess and Nicole - thank you for making our time there exceptional. We will be back!

We enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. The staff were so friendly and explained all the wine pairing very well. On top of that, the food was out of this world! It was so good and was the best food I’ve eaten! They have a fresh vegetable garden where you can have a stroll after lunch. Highly recommend this place!
