Bannisters Point Walking Track

Nestled atop a breathtaking hill, the lookout is a true gem that commands the most awe-inspiring sunset views one could ever hope to witness. As I approached the site, I was already captivated by the surrounding natural beauty, but nothing could have prepared me for the sheer magnificence that awaited at the end of the track.

A lovely headland with views back to Mollymook Beach and in the company of some beautiful beach homes. A bench has been provided in the name of a landcare participant for years which is a lovely touch. There's a path to the lookout area through vegetation. Worth a visit.

Let me explain.

You can do the short 50 meter walk to the lookout. That is good.

Or you can take that narrow road down to the secluded beach 🏖 and then over the rocks over to Mollymook beach. This walk through the rainforest to the beach is phenomenal.

Will you take the beaten path or will you try the forest 🌳?

Great walk right by the water's edge.
Watch for tide and big swell! Also observe signage regarding dogs (off/on leash) or might get fined when rangers around.

Very short walk from parking to lookout. Would be a nice view on a sunny day.

The walking track is in good shape and has some good view points. Definitely worth a visit for a stop on the road.

Presents birds-eye view of Mollymook Beach which is only a 2mins drive away where you'll have access to public toilets and facilities.

1min walking distance from main street cul-de-sac to the look out. Park your car for free on the side road and commence following the path.

You'll be greeted by natures lush green trees and it's birds and bees.

Dogs and pedestrians share permitted entrance. There's a seat at 1 point and the rest you'll just enjoy sitting or standing on the rocks present.

If you're lucky you will see wales in migration and dolphins enjoy flowing swiftly through the tides.

Nice and short walk through the trees and down to a lookout point. Note that the path down to the water is quite steep towards the end and might not be possible for all people.
