Bagnalls Beach Off-Lead Dog Exercise Area

Great place to share the beachside fun with your pooch.
Don't come here if you're not a fan of dogs.

Just love it at low tide so do my dogs always someone to chat with ,dogs usually topic of conversation! Humans are also catered for with toilets ,tables and seats and nice shady pathway to walk along running length of beach,good fishing too.

I was almost disappointed with the dog friendly places at port Stephens, until we stumbled upon this oasis. White sand, water the dogs can learn to swim in, and plenty of space for people to chill too. Fab. Thank you for making this dog friendly!

Nice long beach to let the dog run. Definitely needed an off lead park in the area as so many of the scenic walks are no dogs so the poor pooch was in the car most the day.

First time there for my guys, they loved it. Everybody and their dogs were very friendly. Buster didn't like the windsurfer though, he doesn't like skateboards either.

Beautiful place for a sunset with your furry friends. The beach is long enough for a nice walk (or jog) off the leash. It is a bit narrow though, but that shouldn't bother you, provided the tide is not too high. Toilet facilities near beach access.

Great beach. Easy walk from large parking area with very clean toilets. Beautiful sand, very fine and white! Not crowded at all and very calm, clear water. Five hundred metres to great fish and chip shop.

Absolutely LOVED Bagnalls Beach. The only full time dog friendly beach anywhere in Port Stephens. Coming from Sydney we were shocked at just how dog unfriendly the rest of Port Stephens is. Bagnalls was a total blessing. There's the beach, which is beautiful, and a toilet block which is pretty clean. And the view across the port is spectacular. Very highly recommended.

2. The dog owners love chatting about their dogs.
3. It's handy to Nelson Bay & Salamander Bay shops.
4. Several access and parking points.
5. It's clean and has picnic areas and toilets.

Dog loves it. Not a bad place for a stroll either. Pickup bags are available most of the time at beach entries. Not a lot of beach to play on at high tide, but low tide, you can go out a 100m+. Thumbs up.

Love love love! What a gorgeous spot for adults and furr babies alike. Water so clean and plenty of shade to sit under trees close to the water.
