The food tasted very good. Food will take time to prepare and cook, so it will not come fast if you’re in hurry. Good place for you to spend time with your family and friends to talk when waiting for the food. I expected to see Vietnamese staff there, but I didn’t see any Vietnamese at the time I came there. However, the decoration is very good, make me remember about Saigon and Vietnam. The music is also good for people to talk together. Will recommend others to come to try.

Delicious food and wonderful service. They unfortunately didn't have high chairs though so we had to take turns holding our baby.

My husband and I have enjoyed the food at this wonderful restaurant twice. Our first visit was due to its proximity to the hotel where we were staying. What a delightful surprise. The food radiated flavour and freshness. Our second visit was based on our desire to taste those wonderful flavours again. We actually booked an overnight stay at the same hotel so that we could enjoy a meal and not worry about driving back home to Emu Plains. We will be returning for a third meal with our son and his family. They are travelling up from Melbourne and as we have raved about the food so much they want to try it for themselves. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

Love the Banana Palm. Delicious Vietnamese food. I particularly love the entrees including soft shell crab. Come to be relaxed as service isn't the fastest but if you're with friends, just enjoy the atmosphere. The round tables can be really nice for a group of friends. Always a pleasure to visit. Would love you to do lunch but I understand that you need time off too ;)

Bananapalm is now open for lunch on Saturdays and I am so glad it is :) My friend and I felt like something light, fresh and tasty on such a hot day and we were excited to find this lovely restaurant. The decor is stylish and the atmosphere was welcoming. We chose a selection of dishes to try, including the beef in betel leaf, beef pho and a pork noodle salad dish. All were excellent and reasonably priced, we were particularly impressed with the lovely presentation and how fresh and flavourful everything was. The owners were so genuinely friendly and helpful, the service was great, and the food is delicious. I can't wait to return!!

Great atmosphere for a quiet dinner as well as with the family. There is a great selection of food and cocktails. Make sure you order the string beans and abalone salad. I loved the eggplant and prawn dish too. Everything was great.

Being a Vietnamese I do know how an authentic Vietnamese would taste like. My partner and I were very impressed with Banana Palm restaurant. We ordered the crispy pancake, oyster, fresh rice paper rolls and stirred fried chicken with chilli basil, and creme caramel for dessert. The food was mind blowing. It has the strong taste of fish sauce in the chicken dish which I love. My partner is Swiss and he was so impressed with the dessert we ordered. The caramel is so smooth and yummy. The way the dessert was presented looks like we were dining in a super fine dining restaurant. The service was good. Food came out within the reasonable time, they checked if we wanted to have a bit of break between dishes. In short, we did really enjoy the dinner and would highly recommend

Very good Vietnamese in Coogee Beach.
We came here on a Sunday for lunch.
They grilled pork with vermicelli was really good and we will definitely come back to check out the other dishes.
The owner has been very welcoming and kind.

Went for a late quick lunch with a bunch of friends. Great tasting food at very reasonable prices. The fried rice is amazing. The coconut water drink is pretty good too.

A very good restaurant. Tastefully decorated, lovely lovely food and not too expensive. The staff are all very helpful.
It's easy to miss as they don't go in for large signs on the outside but it's certainly a good find.

This restaurant isn't trendy!. In fact it is way too authentic and genuine to be in the eastern suburbs.

It reminds me in many ways of Bay Tinh in Marrickville in the 90 ‘s.

The food is genuine Vietnamese at ridiculously reasonable prices, it is BYO, the ambience is roomy, elegant and relaxed.

We no longer live inSydney, but will return to Coogee for no other reason than to eat here

We were looking for a good Pho and got what we hoped for... and much more.... the food is great so is the service and they're open for lunch on weekends now.
All up an excellent experience - Highly recommend - we'll definitely be back
