YUMMMMM!!!!! I had the turmeric latte & ham cheese tomato toastie !! 100% recommend! Great quality drink & food, plus welcoming nice staff. Could come here to work on laptop , meet a friend for brunch or stop in for a quick bev.

Arrived in Sydney yesterday and my dad and I went out for our breakfast and coffee this morning to TopHat Coffee Merchants. The coffee was the best we have ever had. My dad usually has sugar in his coffee but he said the coffee was far too good to add sugar. Our toasties were so tasty and everyone was so helpful and kind. Just perfect and very highly recommended. Thank you ☕❤

'Where to go?!' The Eastern suburbs are home to hundreds of coffee shops.. literally on every corner. The worst part? A lot of them serve *good* coffee.. If you're like me and have been on the hunt for the crème de la crème of fresh roasted, smooth, rich buzzing coffee, then look no further, *THIS* is the place!

Stumbled across this gem a bit ago and have now made it my regular. The staff are always friendly.. and *quick*. Don't be surprised if there's a line spilling out to the sidewalk during peak hours.. seems like the word is out.. fret not, the gang here are speedy and efficient

What's better than delicious, rich, strong vibrant coffee? Nothing. But amazing coffee and a vegan pastry sure comes close. These guys do remarkable plant based (vegan) cookies (the chunky NY style choco chip is my fave!), muffins, toasties and other treats.. I challenge you to be able to tell the difference! And if you're in the mood for something savoury, their sandos hit the spot

Am I getting paid for this? I sure wish I was. The coffee, vegan treats, bright light, open seating area and general vibe of this gem are just too great to not share with others. If you're in Clovelly and fancy a *great* coffee with some tasty bites, maybe give this place a go.. but only if you're ready to make it your new regular ;)

I was there Saturday and they were running thin on staff as I thought but got my sandwich and smoothie in less than 10 mins. Very friendly staff 10/10

Very delicious breakfast for a reasonable price. Very kind service and a nice atmosphere. Fresh orange juice and delicious olive bread. Anytime a go.

Nestled at a busy intersection this place cranks out coffees and breakfast like there is no tomorrow! Small local cafe that is always busy makes delicious coffee. Single Origin espresso is on point, will definitely be back!

Top Hat is back on top - with the best coffee in the little Clovelly village here. It’s been a bit of a roller coaster. It used to be great, then went down hill for a while but now back to very good again. Great coffee and fast, friendly service. Thanks Mirka. (Secretly hoping it doesn’t get re-discovered by the locals - at least for a while - as it got ridiculously busy in the halcyon days.)

Friendly service and a fantastic breaky roll. Good coffee rounds out the experience. Super decadent cookies at $6.50 will put aside that coke addiction you picked up in Bondi

Great coffee and the bacon roll is breakfast fit for champions! The café is small and unassuming with a nice beach-y feel to it.

Great little cafe- my go to for my morning cup of coffee. Lovely baristas, wonderful service, always with a smile and a friendly word. You can tell they’re connected to the local Clovelly community. Tom and Tash are always lovely and they know their coffee.
I love their muffins and their cauli sandwiches- delish. Loads of vegan options too. They bake their treats onsite at the cafe so it’s always super fresh. Highly recommend!

Tom, Tash & the team are friendly, all round great humans. Coffee is hot, creamy & strong, plus all their in house made treats & sandwiches are to die for.

Top Hat is my go-to for a morning coffee, for which I am willing to travel across suburbs to enjoy. Their ALL VEGAN muffins and cookies are the best in the East and the service is second to none.

I really like this little cute coffee in Clovelly. I am enjoying their single-origin almost every day. Big thumbs up to Mirka as a manager and her team who always make my day better with their great smiles. Place has a real good vibe. Thank you 👍
