Horrible experience the man behind the counter was extremely rude & unhelpful when I tried to collect a parcel he didn’t know what he was doing & shouted at me! Absolutely disgusting behaviour won’t be back

I'm not one to ever write reviews but I've had horrendous service EVERY time I've visited this store and today was the last straw. My advice is to go to any newsagent but this one. Unhelpful, unfriendly, over priced and just all round not worth your time or money, when there are other businesses out there worth supporting. If I could rate less than 1 star, I would.

This newsagent is a joke. Avoid at all costs.
He is dishonest and disreputable.
He will outright lie to you and be rude in the process.
Time this guy was out of business - 100% better for Coogee when he is gone

AVOID if you can! The old owner is rude and impatient, especially if you're not buying anything and only coming to pick up a parcel delivery. I came to collect a parcel and felt like I was being interrogated as he barked orders at me demanding 3 points of ID. It was humiliating and embarrassing. Using common sense, it was obvious I was the rightful owner of the parcel. After he finished dealing with me, he then proceeded to speak so sweetly to the old lady standing behind me who was buying something. Apparently if you're young and not there to buy lottery tickets, you don't stand a chance of receiving any shred of customer service from this business.

All of the previous posts are absolutely correct. The owners of this place are an absolute joke. I had a parcel delivered here and even though I confirmed with the couriers it was definitely left here, the beyond rude elderly Chinese man behind the counter refused to even look for it because it was not put in his computer. He started to shout at me from behind the counter until such time as I had to leave and make a complaint directly with the courier. Still waiting to receive my parcel. I have no idea how this place has been selected a parcel drop off option as it appears this is a recurring issue for customers. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I left here today shaking from the experience I had with this horrible horrible man. I simply went to collect a parcel with the text ID I had been sent. He made an enormous scene, raising his voice at me infront of other customers and my little girl, refusing to look for my parcel and asking questions that made no sense. I left empty handed.

I did not understand why he was being so rude and so unhelpful towards me, bizarrely holding my parcel hostage. Is that even legal? Does he not have an obligation by signing up to function as Coogee's parcel collection point?

Obviously I will not be putting myself through that humiliating experience, or his shop doors, ever again.

AWFUL. Rude, unhelpful staff. Parcel worth $86 delivered to them but they have ‘no record’. A common story with these people. What do they do with this property which they withhold from purchasers? Theft? AVOID.

I hate that my local parcel point is this place. Following everyone’s complains, this old man is everything but helpful. Every single time I collect a parcel from this agency and there’s him at the counter, I experience a problem. If he’s busy with other clients, forget about it! He will tell you the system is down or the parcel didn’t arrive or any other lie to get off his shoulder.

Word of warning do not send your parcels here

The old guy at this business is rude & unpleasant. My parcel was delivered there & despite having all the required ID & parcel info I had to wait there 35+ mins why he told me the tracking number was "incorrect". It wasn't. He'd read it wrong. Despite my name, address & pick up no. Listed on the package it seemed like he was suggesting I was lying about the package belonging to me lol. It was laughable. I so rarely have trouble interacting with ppl. But with this guy its unavoidable. Avoid at all costs. For real.

The rude man picked up the phone in the middle of serving me. He was so unhelpful, I actually couldn’t believe it. I will be reporting to Toll as the last time this same man served me I waited over 20mins to collect my parcel because he actually served customers that wanted lottery tickets first. Disgraceful attitude and customer service.

Extremely rude and terrible service. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with this newsagent as all our couriers at our new address seems to get sent here. Kept serving others and kept me waiting for my parcel. Refused to look for my parcel unless i could give a PIN however that delivery did not come with a PIN. Felt so abused that i left the place in tears. Unreasonable!

The rudest old Chinese man I have ever met in my life. Couldn't be bothered to look for my package - had a whole pile stacked up & was so obvious he was just being complacent. Every description of this man on here is spot on - I'm not surprised people have left in tears. Will never ever get anything sent here again. Will be taking this as high as I possibly can

Terrible customer service- an older Chinese man was not helpful in trying to find a package for me which said it was delivered there- he pretended to look and got frustrated when I questioned why it wasn’t there. Super frustrating and horrible customer skills, being nice gets you a long way.

So unpleasant and stress-inducing to interact with the rude shop keeper that I literally send my Parcel Point parcels via my old local shop in Bondi (who pro tip: also just take the barcode from your phone so you don't have to print and paste on your parcel which this guy has no idea how to do and denies is possible).

Horrible experience!!

I went there to collect the winnings of my Granfathers' scratchies. On arrival he was eating his lunch and watching a video on his mobile. After grabbing his attention he told me to check how much I won before I gave him my tickets so he can scan into his machine. The machine is going to tell me if I won. Very rude!!
