What a great owner of this local business - would have loved to have given a 5 Star however after having a terrible experience with his very rude female staff member, a 4 is the best we can manage.
However, he fixed the problem immediately and completely understood that after purchasing a brand new bed and mattress, upon being picked and the bed not being dissembled fully, had to be carried down the stairs by our daughter and friend themselves, the bed broke and the staff members reaction was “ well you were carrying it, sooooo”
I’ve never been so appalled by a staff member and if she was representing my business she would be out.
As soon as the owner seen the condition the bed was given to us in, he was also disgusted and allowed our daughter to choose another bed in the store, ordered it immediately and it will be here Monday, hense the 4 and not a 1 review.
We will continue to use your store but will never be dealing with this female staff member again.

Absolutely appalling sales team and customer service. Lied to on several occasions. Do not trust Sandra and Beth they are rude and tell you what you want to hear to make a sale and cannot deliver on their promises.

Have had 2 servicemen out to our house to fix the Amelia Gaslift bed as it was squeeking and keeping the household awake at night. Finally one of the managers came to look. He wasn't impressed having to walk from the carpark to do his job. All of no more than
100 metres walk. Still not fixed. I took off the struts to lift the bed and applied double sided sponge to the middle bar. The noise has stopped. No thanks to Beds R Us staff. Not impressed. Wouldn't get one of these strutted beds if they paid me.

There was very little customer service and it appeared to be a effort to assist us with a bed purchase. After delivery it was found slats were missing. When ringing on day of delivery of missing slates to find out a time was told "I wouldn’t have a clue". Needless to say we will never go back to this retailer.

Attended Salamander Bay store 9/5/2018 to purchase a pillow. I discribed what I was looking for and offered a pillow. Paid $110. I was not offered a try of a pillow the same nor any store policies on returns. The pillow Did not perform to what I expected. Note: I had left the cover on it to try at home. I called the store to discuss. I was told by the staff at the store they should have offered me the opportunity to try the pillow and explained the no return policy on pillows. The staff admitted to not disclosing this information and apologised. I called the owner of the store to be quite rudely told, bad luck, they have no duty to explain any procedures or to offer me a try of a pillow the same. Stay away here and Lake Haven. I would not use or even recommended a dog to the unprofessional, mismanaged place. Of course this is my opinion but you make your own up

Absolutely terrible !! 11 days ago you took my money for a new mattress which you don't even have in stock but advertise that you do,when I rang to make sure it was there I was told that my order had been lost and i could go out to Rutherford store to get what I already paid for 11 days I have been sleeping on my lounge after moving waiting for my new mattress to come to the salamander store
