Bay Tree

Wow. Just wow. You know when you find something amazing and completely unexpected when your on you way to somewhere else? This was The Bay Tree for me today, from their range of candles to Japanese pottery to Swedish trays to old silver spoons to bakeware... Well, you get the idea this shop seems to have so much and in such a small space... Will definately be stopping by on my next trip with a car....

I love the Bay Tree, but I was very sad after I had travelled in from Camden via train and then bus on Saturday 31st December to do some much anticipated shopping that it was closed...I am pretty sure it didn't state that when I researched prior to leaving....

10/10 customer service and an amazing variety of quality products. Susie helped me organise a house warming gift and card for a girlfriend and got it all wrapped and sorted for me the very same day. I can't wait to visit in person - 5 stars.

I absolutely love this beautiful store. I could spend a fortune as there are so many beautiful things. Love ❤ love ❤ it.

You can get lost in here for hours finding anything to do with cooking, baking,. dining, the staff really know their stuff and can answer all your questions and give really practical advice. Go Liz your are a gem!!

This shop is an institution and every time I visit, I am more inspired. It's just lovely.

A great shop, but I’ve found out the hard way that they are currently closed until mid-January, despite that it very much says otherwise here on Google.

The Bay Tree has always been my go to place for anything kitchen or tableware related and has been for years. If you're into cooking then I don't have to tell you how good it is. But after my visit today I shall reconsider returning.

There was a customer in the store with a grey Whippet on a lead. The breed is of no importance other than said customer might recognize herself should she read this.

I presumed the woman had asked permission to enter with her dog or perhaps there's a store policy that the Bay Tree are okay with animals on their premises so she didn't have to.

Given the fact the whole shop is jam-packed with paraphernalia to the extent the aisle is a tight fit (one person wide) so it's one way in, turn at the end, one way out (on the opposite side of the central division) and nigh on impossible to overtake on either side.

One side of the aisle houses linen: tea towels, napkins, tablecloths etc..many of which hang on hooks and drape to the floor. I did not take kindly to the dog sniffing and rubbing itself up against the table linen (or against anything else for that matter). I did not take kindly to the dog being on a long lead which I came very close to tripping over. I did not take kindly to the woman's inability to excuse herself or her dog, not once but twice when I tired to get by her. And I did not take kindly to the staff member who was attending to the woman and who chose to ignore my overtaking issues.

I'm not sure whom I disapproved of more: the rude dog owner or the shop for allowing the dog and its owner in. After all, this is a kitchen shop, surely hygiene counts. Besides, shopping should be a pleasure. Far from it today!
