We were very happy to stay here. Great location in town. Comfortable and clean facilities and room. Old style hotel and decor. Breakfast is available $15pp. No elevator. Outside balcony area accessible via bedroom door. Public Lounge area available. Wifi, aircon and ceiling fan. Nice ambience

Thank you RE Hotel for having us. My colleagues and I stayed here for 4 nights for business. Check in was breezy and as soon as you walk in you can see how Grand the building really is. The staff were warm and welcoming the entire time, the room was huge, so spacious and immaculately clean and had everything you need, plus the bed and pillows were super comfy.

Beautiful old hotel in the heat of BH that is renovated but keeps the charm. Takes you back to an elegant era. Great balcony. Very comfortable room with comfy bed. Lovely buffet breakfast in the gorgeous dining room. I would love to stay here again next time I visit.

What a surprise. A stunning downstairs with a sitting and dining room decked out in 1930s club furniture. The staircase is also beautiful. Pre covid there was a restaurant and a lit fireplace. Hopefully all that will return now that life is apparently returning to 'normal'. Upstairs rooms are very well appointed and comfy and clean.
I hope the future for this gem is bright.

Fantastic art deco ambiance from the moment your enter the building. It has an impressive set of stairs to the rooms upstairs. The room was bright, tastefully decorated, spacious and clean. The ensuite is spotless. The restaurant serves excellent meals including breakfast. On Friday evening live music is provided during dinner. Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to ensure a memorable stay. It's our new favourite place to stay in Broken Hill.

We had a great stay here. Very clean and comfortable rooms. I love the Art Deco authenticity. We didn't have dinner in the restaurant, however, we did enjoy the comfy couch in front of the fire in the large lounge. I highly recommend this Hotel.

Enjoyed the stay immensely. Period architecture enhanced the experience greatly. John and Jo were superb hosts. Our dinner that evening in the hotel restaurant was accompanied by John's guitar playing prowess. An easy and most relaxed atmosphere. Table service was committed without being intrusive. Food was faultless with sticky date pudding the guilty highlight! Jo's knowledge of Broken Hill was riveting as both she and John are locals and know well the mining history. Definitely stay there again.

An outstandingly refurbished hotel with old world charm. Warm and friendly staff, great breakfast and beautifully appointed room. Look no further to stay in Broken Hill.

Lovely atmosphere in a beautiful art deco dining room. Small but delicious menu. Little gem in Broken Hill. Didn't stay in the accomodation but told by others that it is equally impressive.

A cracker of a place. Beautiful dining sitting room elegant stairs wood panelling. Good aircon in rooms bathrooms updated but a touch small they were back in the day. Delightful staff.

This is my first time in Royal Exchange Hotel and I absolutely love it. Everyone was friendly and the dinner here was very delicious. The room is very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay here and will definitely be back.

The place itself is a treasure, lovingly restored in period style. The dining experience is a delight, with chef John Hart's Sous Vide method delivering flavour and tenderness in the meats and as good a duck as you will get in the fat-laden confit style. Service better than average for country Australia, but could always improve.

Old style hotel very quaint, clean, tidy and good air conditioning. Bit pricey for broken hill but in the centre of town. Would stay here again.

Very quiet and restful while I stayed there. Staff were very helpful and we're very friendly to talk to.

Right downturns and such history. The room was tiny, but if all you need is a bed and a bathroom, this is perfect!

A must stay well restored in the art deco style with many original fittings the dining room is a must cosy rooms with a comfy bed and all you need some have a bath book a room that runs onto the large wrap around verandah enjoy pre dinner drinks in your top hat and tails interestingly for these days the rooms offer a well stocked mini bar did I mention the bath robes perfect for that verandah drinks

My room had a full size bath..and I soaked in it till the water cooled off...great brekkie as well.

Just dropped past for a morning coffee and THE BEST egg and bacon Turkish roll I have ever had. Decent coffee too. 👍🏻

Very nice accommodation, very nice staff. Room has no cooking facilities but pub does good food.

Really lovely hotel. Super clean rooms, comfy bed, great a/c and easy parking. Enjoyable stay.
