Exactly what you want when you shop for fruit & veg. They stock a pleasingly diverse range of fresh merch, and any goods nearing the end of their commercial life are heavily discounted and situated on the footpath for easy consumer access.

The owners/workers are extremely friendly and helpful and no stocked item seems unfamiliar, so any customer who is unsure of which particular chilli/potato/apple etc would best suit their intended purpose can confidently rely on the accuracy of their suggestions.

A small, local business which deserves a loyal customer base.

I always find fruits and vegetables fresh here. Never been disappointed. Prices are very reasonable and certainly cheaper than Wollies or coles. Staff are very friendly. Highly recommend.

A good range of fresh fruit and vegetables. Prices are very reasonable compared to supermarkets and staff the are helpful.

Like dinosaurs, street side greengrocers are relics from the past with very few (in comparison) around where the majority of fruit and veg finds itself on the shelves of conglomerate supermarket chain stores around the country rather than quaint greengrocer stores from the past.

So the Redfern Fruit Market is a blast from the past, traditional greengrocer that will take you back to the 70s.

Their prices are significantly cheaper than the supermarket chain, so you will save quite a bit of money.

Parking is somewhat problematic as the grocer is on the main road from Sydney CBD to the airport, but every time I have visited I've been fortunate to park on the street in front of the shop.

If you are looking for a greengrocer, you must definitely visit this shop. After my first visit it became my favourite greengrocer. It is worth the effort to visit.

Really good produce with great prices and very friendly staff

Some great foods here like Eggplant, Asparagus and super big mushrooms. They have such a wide selection for a small shop. Very friendly managers provide good customer service. I would recommend this place to others based on the price and range.

Incredible value. Not organic, but chok a block full of fresh produce at low prices. Even better, they have some produce that you might only expect at Harris farm. Looking forward to roasting up a bag of chestnuts from here.

Great place to get cheap veggies! They also have some really nice cheap food here - pancakes, spring rolls, and other awesome food. Also, don't go past their juices - so damn cheap!! They make it exactly to your tastes, and so quick too. Excellent place for all your fruit and veg needs.

A hidden gem. They have exotic fruits and vegetables, imported groceries (jams, pickles, olives, roasted nuts, etc), halal smallgoods, fresh free range eggs for a fraction of what the supermarkets charge, fresh Lebanese bread every second day

They stock a great variety of produce and other food items. Managed to find porcini mushrooms and apple cider vinegar here (didn't have to travel too far like I had usually did to buy these uncommon ingredients). I now buy my fresh produce here instead of woolies. They also sell really cheap and delicious juices :-)

Been here few times, I loved it. A good value esp if you want green veggies . Most importantly, the staff were all polite , helpful and they smile. Good on you guys !

I travel 8 km to get my fruit and veg from Redfern Fruit Market. it's worth the effort for variety and freshness. the price is amazing for the quality.

This is our local fruit shop - a gem in Redfern. The owners are always pleasant and the produce great. One of the few touches that makes Redfern still feel like a community.

Freshest, cheapest produce in the area. Always an excellent selection of Asian greens, in particular. Pro tip: almonds are also cheaper here than anywhere else I've seen :)

This fantastic little fruit and veg shop must be a tardis; it's the only explanation I can come up with for how such a teeny place not only squeezes in oodles of varieties of fresh fruit and veg, but also nuts and legumes, pastas and noodles, loads of herbs and sauces, frozen foods, a juice bar, flowers, and loads of homemade snacks. There usually heavily discounted produce out the front too. Try picking up a bag of their pork and veg frozen dumplings and some bok choi - dinner for 2 for under a tenner.

Give the big supermarket a miss and drop past to get your fruit and veg here. Your wallet will thank you and you'll probably find a whole new bunch of things you'd like to try.
