We stumbled on this lovely gallery after visiting the contemporary art museum and we thought the art here was 10 times better. The artist was at the shop and we had a wonderful time chatting with him. Plenty of unique Australian- themed gift ideas like mugs wall art etc. A must visit

Playing tourists in our backyard (Sydney) and we found a quirky, whimsical and fun art gallery at The Rocks. We met the owner/artist and had a great conversation and found the stories/inspiration behind his works.

What caught our eye as we walked by was the print of a Ferry on heels. Ferrys-heel? I forgot the name of the artwork, but it did make me giggle.

Best to go in the gallery and checkout some of the art. It made our day. We even bought a gift for ourselves and another for a family member.

One of the highlights of my trip was returning to this gallery on my third visit to the Rocks and getting to chat with Max Mendez for about 30 minutes. If you have a slightly off the wall sense of humour make sure to visit. Vin Chickens for life.

Seriously just go to this shop and pick yourself up some unique and amazing artwork. Max's creativity and playful spirit shines in all his work. Just really enjoyed visiting and learning about his inspiration for the pieces we chose. Will be returning before we head back home to grab up some fun coffee mugs (Morning coffee will always remind us of Australia now) to complement the prints we selected. Thank you Max for being such genuine spirit and wish you the best!

We found this place by chance and we’re so glad that we did, because we loved everything about it! Max was an absolute delight to chat to and learn more about how he gets his ideas, and his art is just stunning! I bought multiple pieces to remember my life in Australia by after I move away soon, and I hope to one day be able to commission him for a large custom piece of my own!

A unique, hidden gem in the Rocks! Quality products at great prices. We spoke with the owner/artist for awhile while in the shop and had a great time learning about his process! Found some gifts for friends back home and Bought for ourselves as well.

Max is a whimsical and lovely soul, just like his illustrations. Well worth your time to detour and meander through the nurses walk.
