Mountain Trail RV

We love our Mountain Trail 4.7! The van has been our 5 star hotel wherever we have taken it. Very easy to tow, has everything you need and so comfortable.

The sales team were great and not pushy, from the moment we started deciding what we wanted and entered into the sale.

The service department have been awesome. Fixing any little warranty issues we raised. We have also had a few additional improvements done after sales and each of these have been built and installed so well, you wouldn’t know they weren’t there from day one.

We can’t fault any part of the sales, delivery, service and after sales processes at Mountain Trail. We would definitely by another or upgrade with another Mountain Trail in the future.

It is now 6 months ago that we took delivery of our LXV 4.7 Hybrid van. From order to delivery was seamless with great communication all the way to delivery and beyond. The unit has performed well beyond our expectations. The build quality is in itself exceptional with the external and internal layouts being very functional.
This van allows us to travel to interesting places and experience the splendour provided by nature in many unusual and out of the way locations in comfort and with the security of a high-quality build.
We have had a couple of minor issues with third party components along the way. These have been delt with in a very professional manner both by Mountain Trail RV Queensland and the component manufactures themselves with good outcomes all round.
I cannot recommend Mountain Trail RV the company, their people or their product highly enough. We look forward to moving into retirement and using Mountain Trail's LXV 4.7 to explore even more of this great land we are fortunate to live in.

Kudos Mountain Trail, I spent three years researching and had countless van inspections searching for a van and manufacturer I could trust. I purchased a LXV-6.7 in September 2021. The after sales service I have received is second to none. I have had some minor issues but these have been resolved quickly without fuss. Most companies would not make the effort after a couple of years have passed but I am treated no different now to when I ordered and took delivery of my van. I am so happy to be part of the Mountain Trail family.

UPDATED: Now the proud owners of our LXV 5.7 after trading our LXV4.7. Adding in a shout-out to customer service from Keith and his team, and support from Sharlene and Heidi. Always a pleasure to deal with and have gone above and beyond even when we mis-diagnosed a recent power issue. We chose MTRV for their quality build, the outdoor kitchen is exactly what we wanted for our camping experience, plenty of room in the pantry for all our needs, comfortable and cosy inside with oodles of natural light from the massive windows. The 5.7 just gives us that bit of extra room, with kitchen bench and sink, and a table with cafe seating that makes the indoors a little more comfy with our two dogs. A total pleasure with a little bit of luxury for our home away from home. Even our dogs love it!!

We have just picked up our 2020 6.7 after having upgrades completed. We got new solar panels 4t upgrade & disc brakes installed. Sharlene & Keith were fabulous to deal with and all our other minor issues were resolved. The disc brake upgrade was certainly worth the $. We have owned a couple of vans now and have always had great dealings with Nick Heidi Steve Sharlene & Keith. I do believe the after sales relationship is good which is where most places let you down.

We purchased a Mountain Trail LXV6.2 last year from the Albury factory and recently had it serviced at the Gold Coast branch. We are very happy with the van and the build quality is as good as its gets ! The service from all the staff we encountered at both branches is very good ! We had a couple of minor issues sorted at the first service and the workshop staff were excellent also. Highly recommended

We have a Mountain Trail 4.7 and could not be happier with the service and support all the staff at the company have provided. They have bent over backwards to support their product, honoured (and in fact exceeded) all warranty and service requirements. We have recommended this van to many of our friends who have also bought one and feel the same way. Great company and highly recommended.

Anybody who owns a caravan knows that it’s not about what goes wrong with your van but how that manufacturer deals with it. We have had our issues with our Mountain Trail but they have all without exception been dealt with to our total satisfaction.
I would have said the same thing about my previous van (not a Mountain Trail) in that case however the list of faults was ten times Mountain Trail.

We are approaching two years ownership of our Mountain Trail RV LXV 6.2 and during that time have done many trips in some very remote and inhospitable places. We have travelled Northern and Central Australia on corrugated, dusty 4wd only tracks and traversed the dunes on the Simpson Desert. We have been to Cape York, Cape Arnhem, we have travelled the Snowys, NSW and Victorian high country on roads not recommended for caravans. During our travels we have seen other high-end off road vans and travelled with friends with their off-road vans. I have not yet seen a caravan which I would swap for my LXV 6.2 which has performed without fault and beyond our wildest expectations. Not one speck of dust or water has entered and surprisingly the van has handled the rough and corrugated roads without any interior or exterior damage or deterioration. We live in 5 star luxury within footsteps of pristine trout streams and in remote desert without seeing another human for days at a time and without the need for any support when off-grid. The support and service provided by the team at Mountain Trail RV is exceptional and if assistance and advice is required to manage the extensive electronics and management systems, senior staff appears to be on call on Facebook 24/7 to answer the simplest questions. This van is a credit to its designers and builders.

I recently got my 6,5 family van serviced by mountain trail. Owned for 2 years. We had a few issues with electrical works and Mountain Trail took their time to test and investigate the problem (one of those annoying issues hard to pin down) mountain trail replaced a bunch of components free of charge and solved the issue. They also did a few upgrades for us (paid) and a service (paid). This is why we chose Mountain Trail, the relationship doesn’t stop at the sale they support you ongoing. Thanks again, see you in a year for my next service.

Purchased accessories and upgrade components for our Mountain Trail EDX electric camper. Steve, Jason and Sharlene have been very helpful, supplying all the equipment manufactured to the highest standard with everything fitting flawlessly. The team answered all our questions as quickly as possible given the covid challenges. I have just picked up my LXV4.7
It is absolutely fantastic and I can't stop smiling as I sit back and appreciate the excellent quality and thought that has gone into the design.
Prior to purchase and right through to delivery, the communication with and by this company has been excellent.
Handover was exceptional, and all follow-up questions have been answered.

We purchased a new LXV 6.2 caravan from MTRV over a year ago. After a lot of research, the MTRV was the best van available albeit not cheap. I had high expectations of an expensive van. After a year of use, the van has exceeded expectations. Towing has been excellent without a single incident of sway, with about 5000k travelled. We have had no dust ingress at any point. The storage is fantastic. Each element is really thoughtfully designed and works well. The airbag system is so useful and simple. We can rapidly adjust levelling and height of the van, particularly useful when free camping. The solar power and electrical systems are easy to use and provide an amazing ability to live off grid for long periods. The weight of the van is lower than many other similar length vans. Simple things like window size and placement makes the van seem larger than it is. The insulation from the foam panels is very effective in keeping heat out or in as required. The front boot is huge and the side panels with pullout draws is just so useful for rapid access. We have the outside kitchen pullout also.
There have been some glitches but I think it would be unrealistic to expect that absolutely nothing will go wrong. The level of technology and engineering in most vans is so high now that invariably something will need repair, tweaking or maintenance. However, the measure of a good company is how they respond when you need fast-tracked help. My experience of MTRV has been very good. I have found the service team and front desk have been helpful with rapid responses where possible. We have no specific allegiance or relationship to MTRV other than being an owner, but our experience of both van and the company I would have to rate as excellent. Well done and thanks to MTRV.

We purchased our 4.7 FXV in 2020 and couldn’t be happier. We have 3 boys so went with the triple bunk model. We have taken it on so many wonderful adventures but always feel comfortable, fully self-sufficient and safe! Can’t recommend mountain trail highly enough.

Big shout out to MT and the service team, had a bit of a list for them to work through on the EDX, they did this plus a number of extra things, either fixed or new improvements since ours was released. Even full detailed the camper, that blown us away, basically looked new again, we spent hours trying to get the red staining out of the drawbar, even down to doing a deep clean in the fridge we found when packing last night which I wouldn’t have expected, by far gone well beyond our expectations and it’s greatly appreciated!!

Now we are just relaxing at this gem of a stop for a few days and nights.

Purchased a second hand EDX from Mountain Trail 4 years ago and love the camper. So easy to setup and pack up. I’ve had it off road and it tows brilliantly. These are an awesome camper and Australian made.

The decal on the side of the van states “Luxury Offroad” it certainly is! The van is well designed, well built with top quality parts and supported by a great team at MTRV. Would not hesitate to recommend them.

We love our EDX V1 - it is the best camper - great quality, great design, super quick & easy set-up and packdown. No problems off-road- it’s built for the conditions. Mountain Trail team have excellent customer service - above our expectations.
