Really nice neighbourhood Thai resturant. Pad Thai was excellent. The stir fry with basil and chilli was onpoint and fish cakes were good. Def recommend the food and would return. We did have to leave our seat when we needed assistance as no one really checked on us. They were chatting at the bar. But they were friendly.

Our drinks were magnificently done. My friend and I had dinner which was cooked to perfection with fresh ingredient’s especially the beans that came with the pork. It was yum! The lights in the restaurant were too dim for a nice place to eat out. Overall a very nice place to eat Thai food.

Excellent Thai restaurant that I knew about from their other site way out in Wetherill Park. Food is excellent with many rich flavours as well as some more authentic dishes like Papaya Salad (in both Lao and Thai styles). Very nice interiors an played pop music but not obnoxiously loud. Duck Curry was particularly tasty. My Thai partner was also impressed and happy with the dishes.

The food was amazing.
Pineapple fried rice with crab meat is divine! 😋
And oh! the pork sausage too. Yum! 😋
Friendly staff. Warm welcome.
I'm not sure with the sticky rice.
It's fine but may be not the best.

I’m Thai and this Pineapple fried rice is outstanding. I would say that this restaurant is above average even compared to the restaurant in Thailand. This almost the best pineapple fried rice I’ve had, the taste was so original and great. Highly recommend. I came here twice in 3 days.

An absolutely sensational dining experience. Beautiful flavours, perfectly executed dishes and stunning presentation. Thai Rock is a beautifully fitted out venue where there has been a great deal of effort put in to attention to detail from the interior and furnishing all the way to the crockery. The staff are friendly, attentive and provide exceptional service. They have an extensive gin/drink selection and I can say with confidence the ingredients and botanicals used in the drinks will ensure you're getting the best gin you'll have ever had. The food is masterfully prepared, and the dishes we had were full of flavour and very well balanced. One of the stand out dishes for me was the Lao papaya salad. Thai Rock is definitely a venue that'll you visit more than once.

Came here for dinner over the weekend, and had a lovely Thai dining experience. There was plenty of seating for groups of all sizes (also perfect for families with outdoor space) and the staff were very prompt and friendly.

Great authentic Thai food – would highly recommend the seared scallops which were very tender and perfectly seasoned. Another standout for us was the deep-fried ice-cream, the pastry was crispy and there was just the right amount of pastry to pair with the ice-cream, Thai Rock definitely did this classic dessert so much justice.

Loved the presentation of the pineapple fried rice with prawns which was served in a carved-out pineapple and overall a solid main. The roast duck salad was very refreshing from the mint and coriander and the duck itself soaked up of the dressing and was very tender. The seafood laksa had a great mix of squid, mussels and prawns and wasn’t overly creamy and the batter of the prawn cakes was another highlight.

The bar really had us impressed, it’s decked out with an extensive range of colourful gins plus we found out they de-hydrate their own fruit (which smelled amazing might I add) to pair with the alcoholic drinks!

We were really humbled by David who was so accommodating and made the night so memorable with his passion for the food, the restaurant and his vision of creating a positive experience for each diner was so special. Highly recommend this place!

Thai Rock at Potts Point newly opened with traditional Thai dishes and with a spin on some western dishes! The food here was phenomenal with indoor and outdoor seating, its a place to bring your friends and family for an unforgettable feast! There is live music on weekends and the bar serves 132 types of gin.

The duck curry was a standout for me, plenty of flavour with a kick of spice! The pineapple fried rice tasted amazing too. The scallops is also a must have entree. Theres always room for dessert so if you order the Mango gelato with coconut sticky rice you wont be disappointed!

Thanks Thai Rock for the invite! A+ service and A+ food!

Thai Rock Potts Point is an awesome venue located not far from Kings Cross Train Station.
With East meets West cuisines, their extensive menu delivers unique dining experience and caters for many delicious dishes you crave!
The restaurant itself has elegant decor with Thai inspired touch, which is exotic and traditional at the same time.
Seating area is large and the venue can accommodate up to 200 guests.
Their full bar really caught my attention with those colourful and very large range of gin (125 types to be exact!).
Let’s talk about the dishes now.
Their Volcanic Rock was definitely the star!
Not only I loved the theater, it was nice to enjoy a hot slice of this age rib eye of beef fillet every single time! The rock cooks the meat to the perfect temperature.
The other dishes I tried were also fantastic. Loved their seared scallops, Thai Rock special fried rice (spicy) and choo chee prawns. Really flavoursome.
Before enjoying the dessert I tried their dessert wine from Keith Tulloc. So good!
As for the desserts, I really loved their fried ice cream and mango gelato & sticky rice. Both were so delicious and indulgent.
Highly recommend.

Food and service was 11/10. I had the lamb Massaman and it was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. I’m also coeliac, the staff (Amy in particular) was very knowledgable about the menu and relayed this information to the kitchen. I highly recommend here for some AMAZING food 😊

I rarely bother to write Google reviews but this restaurant deserves my time (& money, and yours too!) This is a go to every time I come back to Sydney.

Divine pad thai, pad see ew and excellent range of curries. Their tom yum fried rice is something special too. Plenty of space, clean decor and great location in leafy, quiet Potts Point.

Quite possibly the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten.

I’ve eaten a lot of Thai food in my life, including in Thailand. Thai food is generally amazing, certainly one of the best cuisines in the world.

When Thai Rock opened earlier this year, I was intrigued but hesitant to go because the style and decor look quite upmarket, and my assumption was that it would be quite expensive.

Little did I know, the prices are very reasonable and the portions are large enough that you don’t need 1 main per person. (2-3 mains for 4 people would be enough). Mains are around $15-20.

We had scallops for the entree which were really nice. But it was the main course that really blew our socks off. The coconut rice was fluffier and more flavourful than I thought rice could ever be. Combining it with the duck curry was sensational.

I’ll absolutely come back here and will try to convince friends in the area to not make the same mistake I did and judge a book by its cover!

Definitely my new favourite Thai restaurant in Sydney, hands down.

I couldn't be happier with my experience at Thai Rocks and would definitely go back.

My girlfriend and I were in Sydney for a couple of weeks and we actually went to Thai Rocks on two occasions, since our first meal there was so good.

The decor in the restaurant is really well done and doesn't feel fake or over-the-top. The menu, although fairly long and spaced out, gives you a great idea of what you're ordering. Also, unlike many restaurants, the meals actually look exactly like their pictures.

I didn't get to try any cocktails but they have a good selection of tap beer which was really nice for a Thai restaurant.

The food itself was absolutely delicious. I had the green curry one evening and the duck curry another - and both were super tasty. The lychees in the duck curry were an interesting addition, and went very well. Both curries were well spiced, and the coconut rice is the best coconut rice I've ever had. If you come here for curry, please try the coconut rice. It's rich and likely super high in saturated fats but its 100% worth it. The only flaw I found on the first visit was that the bamboo was sliced a bit thin and cooked a bit too much in the curry. On the second visit they were thicker slices and perfectly crunchy still.

Although everyone has different tastes for Thai food, I would definitely recommend checking out Thai Rocks.

The food and service is fantastic.. Genuine authentic Thai food with a awesome cocktail menu .. nothing was a problem, one at my table made a million request to change her meal and the other added 3 things 😂😂. Not to mention the gin selection is out of this world … I’ll definitely be back and could not recommend the venue enough .. oh they had amazing entertainment on the night I was there .. it was a little slice of Thai heaven in Potts point ..
