Maya Da Dhaba

I was very impressed by everything. The waitresses there were very nice and the service was great. The food was delicious. We got the butter chicken, fish tikka masala, saal paneer, dal tadka, garlic naan and cheese naan. I highly recommend the butter chicken! It was rich, savory, slightly sweet and very flavourful. The chicken was tender and cooked perfectly. For vegetarians, I recommend the daal tadka and the saal paneer. Both were delicious and flavourful. The cheese and garlic naan is also a must try! It complimented all the other dishes very well. I also got a mango lassi and that was delicious and soothing. I will definitely be coming back here again.

Delicious, authentic and very tasty Indian food!
We came for a family dinner on a Saturday night and place was full so glad we booked ahead but either way tables were turning over fairly quickly.
Tried a range of dishes, mostly vegetarian and all had their distinct flavours and spices. Servings are probably the most generous we have had at an Indian restaurant and really good value. Kids also loved the lamb rogan josh which they made mild so was just right for them.
Service is fairly basic but friendly and attentive enough and about as expected.
Will definitely be back and likely to be one of regular places for an Indian meal in the inner city.

Great place and food.
The Chicken Chettinad with Rice and also the Goan Fish curry is amazing.
I also had Non vegetarian platter with Chicken tikka Kebab, Fish Amritsari Tikka and mutton seekh and samosas and each of them are very, very tasty.

My favourite Indian restaurant in Surry Hills/Waterloo. All the dishes are affordable and bursting with flavour. Whether we dine in or get takeaway, the meals are consistently delicious every time. They also offer a wonderful selection of vegetarian dishes.

One of my favourite restaurant near my home. Very tasty, good portions and reasonable price. I love Paneer and tried all paneer dishes, all of them were 10/10. Highly recommended!

I visited Maya Da Dhaba purely because it came highly recommended by a close family friend. Iam glad I visited this place along with my family and friends.

The choice of food is excellent and portions very generous. The taste left me wanting for more. The staff are very friendly and food was served pretty quick. I highly recommend this place.

Parking will be a challenge and I recommend to park the car either in Young Street, Young Lane or James Street. It's about 300 - 400 mtrs walk to the restaurant.

So excited to find this hidden gem in Sydney. We've tried almost every Indian restaurant you can go to and were so surprised and happy at the quality of this food! Best tikka masala we've had. Delicious and authentic, amazing and attentive staff, large portions for highly reasonable price. Very busy on a Monday night. Can't wait to come back!

I love visiting restaurants that have history. This restaurant has its soul . Food brought on the table was Pure Quality, need to say Very Generous Portions. Staff confident and super friendly . Very impressed. Will definitely be returning here. Thank you Maya Da Dhaba for a lovely evening.

I ordered a goat biriyani through uber. The portion was huge, loads of meat, the sauce was huge and tasty, the food was amazing in taste. Next day I came to the restaurant myself to see how it looks. It was even more amazing. The lady serving is lovely in her manners and very professional, I ordered the same biriyani again and while I was waiting the lovely behaved lady gave me a complementary milk type of drink which was not too sweet not too bland. My whole experience was awesome. If anyone likes indian foods then definitely 100 % I recommend.

The Indian food here is excellent, highly recommend one of their specialities Goan Fish Curry. The Punjabi Baingan baby eggplant dish is also very good. Please note that there is a bar on site so it can get very noisy in the evenings.

The food was incredible, and the staff were incredibly generous and kind. They gave me a complimentary mango lassi because my friends were running late!! The butter chicken and fish tikka masala were both tender and packed with flavour, and the naan was fluffy. Dal and paneer were also highlights. Must visit spot for authentic Indian! Will definitely be back.

From the moment we experienced the food tasting session at Maya Da Dhaba organised with Luvjeet, we knew we were in for a culinary treat at my son's birthday party. The quality and quantity of the food provided at the tasting session and the final party were exceptional, leaving everyone thoroughly satisfied and eager for more. Luvjeet's attention to detail in the planning of the catering was evident in the party, the taste of food was bursting with flavor and the whole menu was expertly crafted to perfection. What truly impressed us was Luvjeet's generosity in adding extra items to the menu, which surprised us, elevated the dining experience and delighted our guests. The drinks served were also top-notch, perfectly complementing the delicious fare and adding an extra touch of indulgence to the celebration. I cannot recommend Luvjeet highly enough for their outstanding catering services, making our son's birthday party an unforgettable experience.

The management and customer service here is the best I have ever experienced.
I recently had a very bad experience with an Uber eats order on the 25th of Feb to which the driver kept my food and said he delivered it.
It was late at night I just finished a long 12hr day at work and ordered my favourite Indian at 10:30pm just before they close at 11pm.
As the driver was getting closer I walked to the front of my place to wait for him and as I followed the app it says driver has delivered your food. Which was not the case! I then tried to ring the driver several times but he blocked my number. After releasing he took my food I rang Maya Da Dhaba to inform them and instead of directing me to Uber eats they were beyond caring and offered to cook my food for me if I could pick it up. Even though it was 11pm already and they were closed.

The two men/managers that I spoke to when I arrived sat me down and we’re so apologetic of the situation ever though it was not their fault.
The manager went into the kitchen himself and prepped the food which they were mopping up and closed.
This customer service truly left me astonished. Such good people doing amazing things in a world that can be a cruel place.
Thank you so much for treating me the way you did and handling this situation beyond expectations.

Absolutely beautiful experience. They are so kind and the food is incredible. My wife and I are making this a regular place to eat when we are in the city.

Absolutely delicious Tawa Goat curry. Love the flavours and its just perfect with Garlic naan. Serving for this dish is pretty decent and can be shared between two people. Chicken tikka and daal were were tasty as well. Masala chia is really tasty and i highly recommend trying

In all over Sydney if you want the taste in food you should visit this place. Their Indian food tastes like heaven. I loved it.

My wife and I tried this restaurant for the first time and were very impressed. We enjoyed tasty, good quality Indian food for a reasonable price.
