Beautiful shop, cute products. I came into the store set on buying a pair of green boots, when I asked excitedly if they had my size (42) they said it was unlikely, I asked if the person working could go to the back and check for the largest size so I could try them on and she told me that would "take an hour". I then tried on a size down (41) in a different colour and decided I could live with a slightly small shoe and would like to see the size down in the green and she told me almost flatly, no. She told me to get the shoes online instead, as they'd have my actual size there. I thought the whole interaction was a little cold, two women came in and the clerk seemed to light up, suddenly warm and friendly. This felt odd, I am a notably queer man and felt uncomfortable in this store, which has a "local & proud" pride flag sticker on their front door.
