Cafe Giorgio

Exhausted from the sunny summer Sydney afternoon after 24hrs of flying, we fell into the outdoor seats for what was the best meal we’ve had in days!
We started with drinks and a Heirloom Tomato Salad (basically a caprese salad), which was small but deliciously tasty!
Then our main courses come...
My Gnocchi melted in your mouth with small bursts of fresh pea and a slight zing! from a touch of lemon in the sauce!!
We each wholeheartedly relished our meals in their simplicity and refreshing flavour.
Prego!

I had a lovely meal here last week with my Family.
The food was tasty and the service was great.
And I loved the Negroni!

Amazing live music on a Thursday night! The music sets an amazing atmosphere and then the cocktails and food just tops it off, beautiful. Enjoy a great night out with good music, food and drinks.

What can I say? I'm here for aperitivo often and I adore it. Their pizza crust is excellent and sitting outside on a sunny day with a cool breeze is heaven.

Great location and service, if.you have chance please get the tiramisu it's is very yuuummmyy!!! Especial thanks to Constanza, an Argentinian girl who provided an excellent service!

Came here for dinner on a whim, got seated straightaway and all the waiters were very friendly and helpful.

Food was amazing - incredible pizza crust, and the gnocchi is heavenly albeit a small portion.

The atmosphere was really nice, the outdoor are a on a nice warm night in front of the fountain is very european and the best outdoor seating in that area.

Had an early dinner here during the week, and the food by chef Jarrard Martin was sensational! We had a great range of pizzas, pasta, salads and desserts, and each of the dishes was creative, delicious and fresh. Loved the squid ink pasta and the tuna, especially, but it was hard to pick a favourite! The wine was lovely, too, and the service friendly.

Service has improved immensely in the last 2 months I've become a regular. Love the menu options, pastas a really fresh and easy to tell homemade. The sauces are so flavoursome. Pizzas the also divine, thin crusts and few toppings but oh so good. Great wine options and plenty of daily specials and well price options. Makes it easy for a local to go more then once a week.

This place is amazing! I live in the area. I haven't come before because of the 3.6 stars but can't understand how this place has this rating. The food was amazing. I had the mushroom pasta and my parter had the squid ink and both were amazing! Perfect sizes, complex flavours, great balance and beautifully plated. Plus the staff were great. Idk maybe it has come under new management. Thanks for a great evening.

Not sure if there was a change of management or something since all those unfavourable reviews were posted - we had a great time with lovely service. Live music in Tuesdays of top quality (two saxophones, a bass, and vocals). The prices aren’t cheap but they’re not expensive either, just run of the mill nice Italian restaurant prices which is arguably cheap given the great location - and the food was good quality. We will be coming back 👍

We came across this newly opened restaurant by accident on a Monday night and enjoyed a delicious Italian meal. Could not fault the food or the service. An immaculate open kitchen seemed to be running like clockwork. This place will only get more popular as it becomes known. Would definitely recommend!

Would highly recommend Cafe Giorgio for a tasty, affordable Italian Restaurant in Sydney! Fabulous menu selection and great deals on Happy Hour, Cocktails and Wine. Plus it’s a dog friendly restaurant! I got the blue eye cod and it was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back!

Being a local and a big fan of Italian cuisine, I was recommended this new restaurant by friends. We ate on Friday night and was overwhelmed by the positive experience from service; attentive and informed, food; pizza, lamb ragu and gelati and a good wine selection and the proximity of location. Cafe Giorgio has just jumped up my list of the best Italian places to eat in Sydney. Well done to the chef and new team! Will definitely be back as a regular

Have dinned 4 times and it gets better and better. Excellent service with a friendly smile, and their specials are as good as its gets in the fashionable and foody Potts Point. A great addition and it will really blossom in the summer with the out door area where a party of us can all hear each other!

I have to say One of the best tagliatelle I had. Pasta is perfectly cooked to al dente and as I observe how things are going, they care. They remember you, perhaps it’s because it’s in such quaint location in the heart of Potts Point, makes you feel like you’ve been transported to a little village in Italy watching the world go by over a glass of wine to wind down your busy day in the city. I walked in, told them I need a drink and Manager has placed the order on behalf without me saying a word. That, is service. So when you are in the city and wish to enjoy a dinner listening to water fountain and nice breeze through the restaurant, look no further.

Deliciosa! Yummy Italian food, wine , desserts. Quick service for a Saturday lunchtime. Great location especially if you get a seat in the winter sun altho heaters & blankets also available.

Ate at Cafe Giorgio on our last night in Sydney after reading Neil Perry’s review and it lived up to his comments. I’ll be recommending Cafe Giorgio to all my friends visiting from UK. Can’t wait to go back. Well done to the new owner and staff 👍

Fantastic squid ink pasta and gnocchi. The zhuccini flower starter was amazingggggg and will definitely come back and recommend to everyone I know! Def a chill spot to sit outside and just enjoy good food and company

very good food, really enjoyed it! I had the amazing gnocchi - probably only complaint I can think of is that I would have liked twice the amount because it was so good!

Fabulous old school Italian brasserie. Great food. Sensational jazz on Tuesday nights. Superb atmosphere and location. Barry has nailed it again!
