Thank you chef, congratulations on your Hat chef! When we dined at your restaurant it was an amazing experience, the service was flawless and the menu was so unique perfectly paired with the wines. Definitely the highlight of our trip to the south coast. 5* should be a Michelin star 💫

This would have to be one of the best degustation restaurants we have been to. Service was impeccable, but the food was absolutely amazing. Every course was an explosion in your mouth with flavour. Will definitely be back, even if it’s just for weekend away from Sydney. 🤠🤠

Five course degustation with Japanese and French influences. All presented so artistically well. A dining experience to be had. This is the gem of Batemans Bay. Thankyou for a wonderful dining experience

A wonderful restaurant in an unassuming location. The food was superb and well thought out. We especially enjoyed our duck and beef tenderloin dishes. Staff were lovely and very attentive. Highly recommended.

What a find.
The food was outstanding, so tasty and while at the higher end of the price range, it is good value for money.
We had 6 dishes in total and each one was wonderful and the wait staff explained the dish to us and advised the way the chef suggested it was eaten.

The staff were wonderful, what you expect at a restaurant of this calibre. They were attentive and friendly.

The venue itself was nice, it is an old building and it has been made to look modern and suited to a great restaurant, while still welcoming.

I am ceoliac and the chef was able to cater for me, the menu I received was the gluten free version as well.

Wow The best meal I have ever had. The unique combination of flavours were a delight to the taste beds. Having eaten at several Michelin star restaurants in Europe & America the sandbar could rival them. We had the 5 course degustation menu & the quality, service & ambiance were well worth the price.

Went as a group of nine to celebrate my wife’s birthday. There was total agreement and surprise at the quality and flavour of every dish.
Service was impeccable from the pre dinner drinks to the easy paced flow of dishes.
Will certainly be coming again

We had been looking forward to dinning at the Sandbar for quite a while and went on New Year's eve. We had the set menu and all the dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. A good take on the fusion of Japanese and bush tucker. Not a cheap meal but probably the best fine food in the Bay and surrounds. The wine list was good too. Some people have commented that they left still hungry but we both thought the total offering was more than sufficient, and I like my food! They have a great view over the Bay but they could probably work a bit on the interior decorating as it feels a bit like a 70s cafeteria, although the prints of local scenes were a nice touch. We would go back again on a special occasion. Highly recommended.

The Sandbar is a unique and memorable experience. My wife and I travel from Sydney to stay at the Quays Hotel and have dinner at the Sandbar. fascinating, delicious food with wonderful, friendly service. We have now enjoyed dinner at the Sandbar four times; it is always a truly brilliant and unique experience. We highly recommend the Sandbar.

Wow a regional restaurant that is fine dining!

An absolute pleasure to stumble upon this place after spending 5 rain drenched days camping.

The food for the first 3 courses was faultless and fabulous.

There were only minor issues with the next 2 courses mainly too much , chicken and beef cheek ? rather than the taste of the food. It was still very nice.

Japanese and French can be a beautiful confluence of flavours or a mish mash. This fortunately was the former.

With the matched wines from Austria to the Sake it was an unexpected fantastic pleasure.

From a very fussy eater.

Bravo.

And the service is exceptional. They will cater to your every need.

This 5 cause degustation has got to be one of the best meals I've had! The price for the quality of food and service is unreal.
We have eaten at many fine dining restaurants in Sydney, this by far, if not the best, very close to it.
Highly recommended to anyone. A must have is the yuzu sake after the meal.
Complements the chef and the wonderful staff. Ill be back again for sure.

The restaurant was recommended by a former work colleague, Craig. I'm glad my partner and I were able to visit as part of a trip to Bermagui. The restaurant offers a fusion of Japanese and French cuisine. For me, the highlight was the chicken supreme de volaille course that was part of the degustation menu - wonderful flavours combined in a well-presented dish. Some of the other dishes were subtle but all showed thought thought and skill. The service was attentive. We'd love to visit again.

Fabulous fine dining experience in Batemans Bay. Very reasonably priced for the quality and complexity of the dishes. Would love to see more Australian wines available by the glass.

We had a wonderful meal at the Sandbar last week. This restaurant provides an amazing dining experience- innovative, fresh seasonal flavours and great combinations of textures. I certainly didn't expect to be so excited by a venue in a smallish regional town. The service and presentation were faultless. Thank you so much and we wish you all the best in the future. We'll certainly be back.

The restaurant is very unassuming as you enter. The food here is absolutely incredible and we thoroughly enjoyed our degustation 5-course menu. The standouts were the butter and bread served at the start, the chicken main with lobster veloute which was probably the best chicken dish we have had at a fine dining restaurant, and the desserts were also great.
