I can't speak for all the doctors, but Dr Rachel Paisley is fantastic. She is LGBT+ friendly, empathetic, and engaged. My treatment has been appropriate, effective, and positive.

The downside was that reception used to take a long time to get back to you and were unavailable for long periods during the middle of the day. The "holding call" track was painful, with a sound like someone was actually picking up every 30 seconds, mid infomercial, but that seems to be changing (response times are getting better).

Dr Shannon Paisley is a fantastic doctor and has helped me so since I have been going to see him since 2020. He is patient, great listener, when I sit in the room with him I feel relaxed and know that he is someone I can trust.

A Doctor at this practice quite literally saved my life. There's not much more I can say other than I'd be stuck in a living nightmare most probably leading to my death had it not been for the care provided by one of the Doctors here. Thank you.

After visiting countless practices around Sydney only the St John of God specialists could assist me with my issues. My life is on a better path, that I would not have dreamed was possible.

I'm just leaving a neutral 3 stars but just wanted to let a previous reviewer know that Wesley Ashfield consulting suites is the best place to consult Dr Napper. It is his home base (he used to be Medical Director at Wesley Ashfield when I saw him 9 years ago, don't know if he is still) and the reception staff are excellent. If anyone is wanting inpatient with Dr Napper, SJOG Burwood is WAY better than Wesley Ashfield in my opinion. So unless there are specific reasons why you can't possibly do it this way eg diagnosis, transport issues, see Dr Napper as an outpatient at Wesley Ashfield and if applicable, do inpatient with Dr Napper at SJOG Burwood. Glad you're happy with Dr Napper!

Dr Napper is great i can't fault him. The reception however is beyond terrible. Have been calling mon to fri from 9am to 5pm for about 3 to 4 weeks. No voice message no answer to emails and your left hanging with no reception to answer. It is ridiculous, there needs to be a proper secretary to answer calls or to call back if there busy. You are just unable to get through. Many times I was considering changing to ashfield my dr other practice. They always answer the phone immediately and such a contrast with communication. I rate dr Napper a high score but the low score is for the reception only.

I was referred to dr Maree by my gp she highly recommend me see her since my second appointment dr Maree has cancelled 3 appointment's on me I'm on medication that needs to be reviewed and she just keeps cancelling on me she is so unprofessional and time management is not her style think it's time to go see another one and start all over again

I am sure St John or God himself would disapprove of this comment, but I think humans evolved faster than these guys answer their phones...

Disgusting treatment from DR Kate Wills honestly cannot believe she is allowed to practice. I know you work at “St John Of God” and are probably a god fearing lady but I’m not and while your working your job as a PSYCHIATRIST someone who is supposed to listen to people as a profession she cuts me to lecture me about swearing too much and she said it was rude. Lady I’m a concreter not a school teacher I don’t have to talk any certain way that another person would or how you would, it’s who I am. YOUR HERE TO HELP ME NOT JUDGE ME HOW DARE ANY MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL LET ALONE ON A FIRST VISIT. THEN TOOK 3 WEEKS TO SEND A MEDICATION REVIEW TO MY GP!!! THEY HAD TO FOLLOW UP 4 TIMES! How is this place open? Idk some of the other practitioners must be saints or something. My experience was 0/5 stars

Dr Keith Chee-will NOT be going back. My husband was classified as a new patient because it was over 5 years since he last consulted Dr Chee. I had to wait over 6 months for the appointment and we were quoted $550 over the phone- which is expensive. And no, I did hear them correctly. I am very diligent with financial matters. However, upon checking out, I was advised the appointment was $850!!!!! My family can't afford $850. If I knew it was going to cost that much, I would have not booked the appointment. I sent several complaint emails and phone calls. Finally the practice manager called me back (she was lovely) and said there was nothing she could do because Dr Chee advised that he would not refund me the $300 difference. It is his private practice. He can charge what he wants. I am disgusted. No heart. What a selfish, greedy doctor. My family had to go without. I am very unimpressed. For families struggling with mental illness, this lack of sympathy is terrible. Now I know he is a doctor to make money, not a doctor who genuinely cares. Sad world we live in. Go find another psychiatrist who isn't so money hungry. He should have taken my word as to what I was quoted.

My son made an appointment with Dr Di Ciaccio on in July 2022.
Upon arrival the receptionist demanded $450 cash to my surprise as in this day and age and in a professional practice where vulnerable people seek mental health services this was quite unusual to me.
We didn't have cash and my son said apparently they told him over the phone during booking that they only accept cash but under circumstances affecting his concentration and memory due to long COVID brain fog he forgot to bring cash. Anyways I had no choice but to rush to an ATM to get cash and on return to my surprise I saw my son was still waiting in the reception and not admitted to see the doctor at his appointment time as if we will run away without payment.
I wouldn't expect this from an organization that is operating in the name of St John of God!!
We paid $900 cash for two visits in one week. I wonder whether they report all their cash proceedings to tax office and pay income tax on their cash business honestly.
I wouldn't go back to this kind of organisation and prefer to use other service providers who really care about their customers financial circumstances and offer payments by bank or credit cards too.

This clinic is very poor at communicating and providing client’s information.
Sent a referral to Dr Ricky Tsang, no response then when called was advised he won’t see me with no reason why/ I understand Dr’s can choose who they see however some kind of an idea would be helpful.
I was also told if I had an urgent appointment for particular symptoms I could book at Saturday at an exorbitant charge.
DO NOT BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME WITH THIS CLINIC!

Dr Eddie So was disappointing, was told to take the same boring medication that didnt help, doesn't even let my parents speak to him directly about my mental health. Staffs are very rude and lazy like they dont really care. Booking for the next appointment was irritating. Didnt ask me clearly if the appointment is face-to-face or by phone. Payment suddenly changing, they'll complain if you dont have the exact change for example $295, and i had to do by card for $350, which was outrageous and had to stop visiting again. A complete waste of time and money. Not recommended coming

Very bad service. You have to wait for over an hour to get your call answer. Dr Maree chanter is the worst psychiatrist you can get . My daughter who is minor was telling her that she is suicidal and she never got back to me. She doesn’t listen or care . Strongly not recommend. I think your mental health will get worse at this medical centre .

I am astonished with the good comments on Dr Tam Luu, for my experience with Dr Tam Luu @ St John of God 2 years ago was quite the opposite. I found Dr Luu was careless & lack of knowledge in diagnosis and no empathy for her patient ; Unless she has recently changed her attitudes which I very much doubted. She did not have the values of Christianity, in contrast, I found she is very much a commercial doctor.

Hello hello hello and goodbye and good riddance Extremely poor service, phone centre and reception, I've been calling to book for over a week, put on hold and in number order, on hold for over an hour and haven't moved up in the call queue, then end call because life moves on nerve wrecking care for future patients.
