The Cottage

We had my husband's 40th lunch at The Cottage with 19 of our friends and it was amazing.
Tammy took care of us all afternoon. Food was divine and plentiful, the cake they made was delicious and their wine selection was fantastic - particularly the Tasmanian Sparkling.
Beautiful venue, great atmosphere. We had a brilliant time and can't wait to visit again soon!

This is a high class restaurant offered a comprehensive menu at $75 a head. The food was fresh and beautifully cooked. Scone has a restaurant which can compete with anything the city can provide. The wine list was excellent. Our waiter, Rachel was first class. Well done "The Cottage

An incredible place with amazing food.

I’m pretty fussy and I could easily find some small fault with most restaurants + cafes. I have zero to complain about 🫣

Portions were very generous and the food is superb. Staff are really attentive and made recommendations based on the questions I asked.

The fireplace was wonderful on a cold Scone morning of 6 degrees.

This place came highly recommended by a local, along with a couple of other places but I love this place so much, I came back twice in one day!

A beautiful and relaxed atmosphere has always been my experience when dining at the Cottage. The meals are delicious and staff extremely helpful especially when accommodating food allergies and dietary requirements. Highly recommended and will definitely be returning in the future.

Visited for lunch, food and service was amazing. Was excited to come here for some time finally made it up from Sydney to dine here.
The food reflects the chef's passion as our mains were memorable. We had the rump steak (cooked perfectly medium rare) and the marrocan lamb neck (flavours complimented each other so well). Beer on tap was great and is a local pale ale. The desserts were to die for and coffee was great.

It was our Anniversary and having enjoyed our previous night there, we were keen to try again. The food was excellent and the service perfect which made it a relaxing and enjoyable night.

Love coming up to the Cottage, such a lovely warm atmosphere, friendly locals and fabulous food. Highly recommend if you are visiting scone or passing through.

The service this morning was wonderful. I am glad they let us order food even though we were there after 11 and they were closing at 12. We sat outside and it was lovely looking at the trees and vines climbing the walls and ceiling on the veranda. Very comfy chairs and a great vibe.

A wonderful evening in a beautiful cottage in Scone. The menu made it hard to choose with almost every entree something you wanted to taste - the gin cured trout and venison terrine were divine. The restaurant is known for its beef and the rib eye bone in was mouthwatering with quinoa and kale salad and the brussel sprouts to die for. Must leave room for dessert next time!. Had the fixed group menu on a Thursday night. Food was fantastic, staff were helpful.

This place is the cream and the jam of scone!
We had a 10/10 experience there yesterday for lunch (whilst they catered for wedding reception for 60!). The waitress was extremely accommodating for a couple of allergies too.
Beautiful high quality produce, cooked to perfection and we even got a tour of the meat cooler!
Scone is very fortunate to have such a good venue with excellent produce and quality staff that would give the top steak restaurants in Sydney a run for their money.

A delightful stopover en route to Armidale. Friendly and hospitable on an otherwise quiet Saturday afternoon. I had the sesame chicken salad and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Well worth patronising!!!

I returned today for a beautiful breakfast after thoroughly enjoying a fabulous lunch here yesterday on my first visit.

A couple of pensioners staying the night at Scone. Thought we might treat ourselves to a night out and The Cottage was continually recommended. And she did not disappoint!
Great ambiance, service was great and the meal! Fine dining at its best! The steak & lamb were melt in the mouth, mash so silky and vegetables were perfect. Thank you to the chef and staff for making our night so special!

A lovely environment with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Coffee and muffins were excellent.

A lovely meal in a beautiful atmosphere. The cocktails could be improved to offer more flavour and one of the Steak dishes was a little overdone.
