Il Lido Italian Canteen

I go there for breakfast quite frequently, either before heading to work or after my run. Very nice atmosphere and great quick service. Everyone is friendly. My favourite for breakfast is a tie between the Bircher muesli and the egg&bacon cup toasted. Both are excellent choices. Very nice coffee too. The location is great and if the weather allows, sitting outside gives excellent views.

Such a beautiful spot for an anniversary dinner! Book in for just before sunset and sip on an aperol spritz while watching the beach bathed in golden light.

The pasta is absolutely divine, although our plate was slightly undercooked. The flavours were totally perfect and exquisitely balanced. You won’t be disappointed with the meals here.

The staff were super efficient and attentive - not a single issue there. Everyone was lovely.

Highly recommended il lido for dinner with a view. We will be back!

Lovely little lunch outing, in my short trip to Perth this was one of the best and most memorable restaurants I dined at.

Everything here is just done so nicely; the setting and presentation, vibe and atmosphere, hard working experienced staff and the simple and classical dishes.

I highly recommending booking in advance; they do accept walk ins but when we arrived at 12ish it began filling quickly and we had to settle for table outside. Nothing wrong with that, the views are amazing but on a warm day you will feel the heat and attract lots of flies.

For recommendations, the local fritto misto to share and the spaghetti alla chitarra were the highlights. The cocktails were also done well.

Went on a Friday with a reservation on time and our table was still being used so we were encouraged to get a drink at the bar, we ordered 2 gnts and our table opened up about 10 mins later and our drinks weren't ready and were brought over to us, the staff communicated very well. The wine menu is very big and will take some time to work through if you are a wine lover. We ordered bread to start, it's very yummy and fresh. I ordered a pasta dish, it was delicious. My husband got a meat dish which he inhaled. The wine was very lovely and paired well with both. The shutters got taken up at sunset and the view was incredible. We ordered the panna cotta for dessert and that was the only underwhelming moment, it was bland and neither of us liked it. Our waitress was very friendly and did a great job. We have always wanted to try this place as we are big fans of Canteen Pizza and it did not disappoint.

Came in for lunch with a business associate. The kitchen didn’t open for another half an hour so they provided us with olives and bread. Coffees were delicious well made. The wines exquisite and every bite of food left us savouring for more. Luka the manager was polite and well mannered and the server Gigi won our hearts. The gluten free options were spectacular and the pasta cooked to a perfect Italian al denté, a feat rarely managed with gluten free pasta.
Obviously a pricey location but we felt that it had the bang for the buck

Charming, motto bene ristorante. Natural oysters were small & tasteless, however, I am a Tasweigan. Risotto was delicious x4 calm shells, but could only find 2, swimming in the luscious aquapazza "crazy water." Staff were friendly but no one came back after my meal was served to see if my meal was OK, I wanted a glass of wine & wedge of lemon, it took some time to flag a staff member down, I was sitting up at thee bar. Super background music Lovely, lively, il Lido, I shall return again. Grazie mille amoco 🤗

First time at Il Lido and it was excellent. So good.

It was Mrs C's birthday and we came on a Wednesday lunchtime. Each of the three courses were delicious. The eggplant parmigiana was off the scale delicious. My word.

And the pork for main! Take. My. Money.

The birthday girl loved her tuna tartare and then beef cheeks for main.

The tiramisu was light and heavenly. The Panna Cotta wobbled like...well, it wobbled.

Highly recommended.

Here they have that authentic Italian way of turning humble ingredients into an unforgettable meal. Simplicity and true hospitality at its best, we felt welcomed and cared for the moment we walked in the door. I leave feeling like I've had lunch on the Italian coast😍 with plans to return as soon as possible.

Met the ladies for coffee, my friend grabbed some brekky, she rated 8/10, the building is historic, the views across to the beach and ocean are lovely, the service from Waitress Adriana was next level! She gets a 10/10! Exceptional service, will come.back again for sure 👌🏽

Everything was superb at II Lido , location and quality justifies the price point.
Risotto perfectly cooked.
Wagyu flank melts in your mouth.
Pasta Al dente and simply delicious.
Will definitely revisit when in Perth again.

Location was top notch. Sitting outside was so lovely and relaxing, with a perfect view of the sunset 🌅
Then we ordered. The clam pasta. It was so delicious I was drooling as I was eating it. The pasta itself was just perfect. I’m not exaggerating. The consistency, the al denté. Everything. Mmmm. Would have loved some more clams given they were baby. The sauce. Oh my. And the waiter was so lovely and brought me bread to clean up the sauce. I’m so glad he did. It was divine.

My son had the gnocchi. The gnocchi were gorgeous light puffs and the sauce was so rich and delicious.

The rocket salad was very light and refreshing but could have done with a little more oil and lemon.

The service was outstanding. Our waiter was very attentive and personable.

Great place. Very nice food and atmosphere. Good value, professional service and a wide range of wine and food. Loved it. Got the swordfish from Rottnest.

My Husband and I visited for cocktails and a few small bites to eat for our first wedding anniversary as we celebrated here on our wedding day. Lovely staff and fast service. Delicious cocktails. We always order the bread and we love it, tried the pickled octopus as well this time and it was so tasty.

I was with a dementia client and we sat down and ordered 2 orange juices. After 3 or 4 minutes they had not arrived- fair enough the place was quite busy- and my client wanted to hop up and walk, which we did. We walked around 400 metres down Cottesloe beach path when I heard " Sir, your orange juice !" I said I hadn't payed, to which the reply was " It is okay it's on the house". Excellent service ! Beautiful fresh squeeze orange juice too, which we both enjoyed.

Cool place right across from the beach. Would definitely recommend making a reservation. We went on a Monday and the place was packed. Great wine list with options from all over the world. Food was all delicious and fresh. We had 4 people so we split a few of the smaller appetizers and then two pastas and deserts. Definitely the type of place I'd recommend sharing dishes vs. ordering your own. Service was very friendly but kind of slow. Would go back and would recommend to a friend.

Across the way from a beautiful sunset, this Italian restaurant is a must try. Typical European vibe with plenty of food choices presented. Produce is high quality and presentation spot on. You get what you pay for here, not the cheapest but worth every penny. We didn't book but welcomely found us a table. There are plenty of wine choices to match every dish. As a visitor to Perth often, I'd certainly be back for more. Enjoy!

This my first at Italian restaurant and I love it, all. I will come back.. And for the music too (pianist). He's so enjoy and happy face, make me feel warm

Although we sat at the bar (without booking) we loved the food at this Italian restaurant.
The bread as a starter is a great choice, it could be warm, but still great.
We shared a tasty octopus that I highly recommend.
As main we ordered gnocchi and paccheri very delicious and well presented.
To finish a homemade tiramisu which was fantastic 😋

It's been four years since our Las visit and it's still as good as back then. Which is not as easy to do as it might seem. The service was so friendly and it felt like they had time to have a chat and genuinely be helpful. Well worth the money. Book a few days in advance if your a group of more than 4 and it's the weekend.

Wonderful pastas with such exiting and innovative ingredients . Great Italian wine selection and very friendly service ... I see why it’s one of the best rated Italian restaurants in Perth .

Memorable dining experience, loved the vibes of the restaurant, nice jazz style music, ocean views and great service. The eggplant and tiramisu were my personal favourites, so good! The pastas were also delicious, preferred the flavours of the clam spaghetti more than the squid ink risotto but both was super tasty — although I do wish the spaghetti was cooked slightly a bit more because it was still a little hard, but other than that, we loved it.
