FOCUS Church UNSW

I joined FOCUS in 2021 a week after moving to Australia. At first I was worried about finding the right church where I could fit in, but after turning up at a bible study in the middle of term I felt like I fit in. In the two years I have spent in Sydney, FOCUS has been my home where I have built close friendships with many of the people here. Come and show-up anytime and there will always be someone to welcome you!

People here are so friendly and caring, made me feel very welcome when I first came. Serious about learning the truth from the Bible too. Perfect for international students living close by UNSW- visiting, finding a church to settle in or just to find out more about Christianity!

I've grown so much being involved with FOCUS this last year. Although daunting to step in for the first time, the genuine care of the people and faithful teaching helped ease me in. FOCUS is also closely connected to the on-campus group, Campus Bible Study (CBS) that provides various camps, conferences & weekly training opportunities. In this last year, being in FIC has helped me find my identity in Christ alongside a group of goofy, yet caring brothers & sisters. Do join a Bible Study group, it helps you get plugged in! In a sum - Faithful bible teaching, loving community and weekly frisbee! I'd highly recommend FIC - it's the best way to spend your uni years! :)

Great church, especially for students who are yet to discover the purpose of the Word in life. Friendly peeps, willing to help everyone grow in the knowledge of Christ the Savior! :)

A church that teaches the bible well and makes students feel welcome. During my first few visits I was drawn in by how warm and intentional people were. As someone who struggled with understanding the Bible, they taught me how to read it for myself and I’ll be ever grateful for that
