Revisited Chew Chew cafe 4 yrs after my initial visit, with the intention of ordering what I had described as the "heavenly bowl", and sure enough, it was as perfect as I remember (feta in place of haloumi).
Along with the warm welcoming service from ALL staff, and that perfect takeaway coffee, to top of a scrumptious feed ☺

This place looks iconic - like an old house with a unique style. Big 5 stars for the location and decoration. The staff is very friendly and the most important the food. It was a very generous portion and super tasty. I would definitely recommend!

Had such a great brunch here on Sunday for my brothers birthday. Atmosphere was relaxed and pretty quiet, staff were so friendly and went out of their way to give us a great experience! My breakfast wrap was delish, also big fan of the tapestries.

Sundays are for An Intimate brunch, centered around self care and self love and loads of good vibes.

A good variety of hearty food, in-house breads and lasagnas , Delicious berry infused pancakes, You name it.

When you’re at Chew Chew Cafe, do yourself a favour and order the corn fritters and poached eggs with Avo smash! While the plating itself is a feast for the eyes, the well done poached eggd will certainly delight your taste buds! Alternatively, They also serves all-day breakfast with popular dishes such as chicken burger and baked Eggs!

Sometimes the perfect brunch doesn’t have to be anything fancy, in fact, just good coffee amazing food and some solitude !

My absolute favorite cafe in Moonee Ponds. I eat here alot (hence the photos). Amazing food and awesome coffee. Extremely accommodating to food intolerances and they have a very comforting menu, very homely. So much passion is in the food! Good vibes! And wifi! So much love for Chew Chew!!

Great meal staff very friendly

This is our new favourite place for brunch. Tasty eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, grilled mushrooms, and fresh sour dough. Freshly squeezed juices and hot coffee also went down a treat. Great service, friendly staff, and all a reasonable price. We have been here a few times and have always been impressed with the food, service and ambience. Give this place a try!

Amazing food and amazing staff , Phillis is awesome and always delivers exceptional service, we miss Joe very much.

Great customer service. But even better value for money. Amazed how cheap it was for what you get 🤌 had the meat chew with a side of hollandaise. Bloody fantastic

The staff are really friendly and are also happy to make changes to your order if they can accommodate it.

The atmosphere of the cafe is also really inviting with old style decor. The location is convenient, right next to Moonee Ponds station.

This place has a very special atmosphere and a unique design. The staff are extremely friendly every time I go there. Good coffee and very nice food.

Lovely service, beautiful coffee, amazing flavours in the food with very generous portion.

do love the coffee here, and the building itself is a big plus . look at the raw surface which make me like to come here again.

The green breakfast salad and sweet corn fritters were amazing! In addition to the great food, the flat white was perfectly made -- rich flavor and great presentation!

Pretty rare to give 5 stars for a review but honestly, Chew Chew deserves it. The food was great, the coffee was excellent and both people we were served by were friendly, chatty, approachable and, almost above all, FAST.

The photo is of the chicken burger, but I'd already done a Forrest Gump by then ... I ate some (including the top bun). Oops. Yum, though - try it.

The only downside, and it's impossible to take off a star for something that isn't the cafe's fault, is the freakin' bus stop right next to the outdoor tables. Buses pull up there and idle for 10-15 minutes, making a ton of noise and legitimately polluting the air far more than they need to. But again, not the cafe's fault.

The coffees great!

I really appreciate the authenticity of the staff. The chit chats go a really long way to develop a welcoming cafe culture. It’s so special to know that every coffee is made with love. And now that I’ve been there, it will always be the cafe I chew chew choose.

Really lovely little cafe with great coffee, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere and interior. I just had coffee but I’m keen to come back for a meal in the future to try their food.

Booked a table since we were going in with two toddlers. The staff were lovely and kind enough to accommodate minor changes on order. We ordered steak Sandwich, salmon and schnitzel wrap. Everyone loved the food. The toddlers hardly left any pancake and toastie on the plate. Loved the place, will visit again :)
