Dan Murphy's Gladesville

The team is helpful, knowledgeable and down to earth. I’ve been coming here for years but had a particularly good interaction today finding some cheap wine. Thanks guys!

Most of the time I order through click and collect and they are ready in no time. Very good location, just off Victoria Road opposite Oporto.
There is street parking and also a underground car park that is never full. Staff are always great, friendly and helpful. Shelves are always full, never have issue with stocks. The shop does not get too busy usually only 2-3 customers. Makes it very comfortable to shop around when you don't know what you want and just want to walk around and take your time.

No problem with the shop staff, all are super friendly.

Just beware of their online customer services (you can only chat to a frequently disconnected / unavailable bot and that's the only customer service they can provide), and also beware of their dodgy online tax invoice with no ABN on it... I tried to buy some expensive wine from them and got refused tax return in the airport because their tax invoice doesn't include their ABN...

Accidentally dropped a bottle in a 6pk beer on reduced price, due to faulty packaging. Apologised profusely. Staff were very sympathetic. Offered a discount for our next purchase.

I was delighted with Frank’s in-depth knowledge of the Penfolds range guiding me to purchase a lovely bottle of cab sav.

For me, the most important thing is the people. And here, as in other Dan Murphy stores I have visited, the staff are excellent. Friendly, welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable; this alone gets them a 5* rating. Add to this a wide range of wines, spirits, and beers at reasonable prices, and Dan is a winner. As if that wasn't enough, he has the best range of single malt Scotch Whisky in town! Need I say more?

Underground parking came in very handy with the horrible rain right now - I was tempted to cheat on the way down and use the lift with the carton of bottles in my arms, but the stairs are no hassle.
Still pretty good to have the lift there though.😁
Not many staff, given middle of a weekday, though it seemed like a popular place with customers in and out of the place while I was there. Checkout staff were very friendly too; top marks for a very nice place to grab a takeaway drink👍

One of the better Dan’s in terms of selection and also brilliant customer service. There is usually someone available who is very knowledgeable about the wine or spirits and can provide great recommendations based on the brief explanation you give them. They used to run great tasting events so hoping they start those again soon!

Best Dans experience ever! A young staff member named Olivia helped me find exactly what I needed to gift the family for Christmas. (Or to at least tolerate the family over the holidays). Her nice attitude and smile made my shopping experience pleasant from start to finish. I am also 4’9 and couldn’t reach the top shelves so the tall lady also helped me get down these bottles too. Please hire more staff like her!! 10/10 will shop here again just for her.
