Delicious coffee is hard to find, but The Rusty Rabbit gets a big thumbs up.

Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Decent space to sit with a chilled ambience. And even though it was busy, I got my breakfast wrap quite quickly. Impressed.

Wrap was a bit on the harder side but tasty.

Located in a square under an apartment block, I was so pleasantly surprised by this discovery. The cafe is open with seating inside & out & is very kids friendly. Its decorated like comic books with lots of toys & even the menu is like a comic book with menu items intertwined with pages of comics! Staff are all so friendly and welcoming and are attentive from the minute you walk in till you leave. The menu sounds classic but modern & surely enough the dishes, when arriving at the table, looks absolutely stunning & beautifully presented. Taste wise it really hits the spot too. Lamb eggs sounds like a heavy dish but is surprisingly refreshing but so tasty. Middle Eastern style lamb mince is served on top of shredded, cooling cucumber & labne, drizzled with balsamic, dusted with dukkah & scattered with pomegranate seeds, perfectly poached eggs, all served on sourdough. The pumpkin smash is so sweet, topped with avocado, juicy cherry tomatoes & a salty hit from the fetta. Its again satisfying at every bite yet clean & not heavy. Scrambled eggs is a benchmark test and here its done perfectly. Coffee is a special Toby's Estate blend & it has oomph & character, just like this cafe. Ain't no Rusty Rabbit, but a very fast, efficient, well-fed, cheeky rabbit!

Great coffee, friendly service and delicious food! We tried the southern chicken burger, spicy chicken burger (both with bacon) and bacon eggs benedict. Everything was excellent!

A fun, fast paced brunch spot with delicious brunch and lunch options from corn fritters to burgers. Selling pop vinyl figurines at the front which is fun to look at whilst waiting for your table. Great coffee too!

Pleasantly surprised. My friend had originally wanted to come here for lunch and I was expecting an overpriced brunch cafe that would be more looks than substance. It wasn't until trying the food here that I understood why a business like this can thrive amongst all the competition it has in bustling Burwood. Lamb bowl I ordered not only looked the part but tastes as good as it looked. Very reasonably priced for the quantity. My friend was very impressed with his chicken burger and said it was one of the best he's had. We both were disappointed with the chips that were overly salty but nothing some tomato sauce can't sweeten.

The customer service was very good. We stayed around for a good few hours and staff were always attentive but not intrusive. Friendly as well which isn't always the case with some cafes. When it came time to pay, they offered to split he bill for us.

Will definitely be back to visit again.

I love their brand, the aura of the place is great. This time I had the impression they need more staff, but still the service is terrific. The zucchini fritters are the best I have tried so far among fritters.

Good options on the menu, coffee is nice and strong with a hint of bitterness. Love how they designed the menu with a cover for colouring to keep kids entertained. Staff were extremely accommodating even after our kid accidentally dropped and smashed the salt shaker.

We came here for breakfast on the busy Australia Day weekend and were pleasantly surprised at how well organised and run this cafe was! There was so much staff!

I had the pancakes which were well presented and tasted amazing, it was quite a large serving. The eggs Benedict was also delicious! We will definitely be coming here again, thank you.

Highly recommend this place!! Staff were super friendly and helpful. Service was fast, meals were delicious and fresh. Coffee was amazing. Super cool spot. Parking in car park below makes the place easy to get to as well. Will be visiting next time we're in the area for sure!!

Great menu variety. Delicious coffees and smoothies.

No one does pancakes like the rusty rabbit - fluffy and delicious all through; the berry compote and ricotta combination are the perfect toppers.

We also had the sweet potato fritters with halloumi - quite delicious but portions don’t match the price. The service and food quality make up for it though.

Salmon with wasabi labne is nice with all fresh ingredients. It wasn’t what I expected but still tasty. I couldn’t feel the wasabi as I imagined it infused with labne or at least mixed through. But couldn’t detect any hint of its color or flavor. Also too much ginger but my partner enjoyed stealing my leftovers as they were pickled nicely.

Busy most days but never too long of a wait.

The sweet potato fritter here is good. I asked for cold brew with ice. the amount of coffee was a little small.. but I liked the food because it was delicious. It is a good menu for people who eat a lot of breakfast like me. I think it would be a better menu if I removed a little more oil from the fritter. It doesn't mean that the taste is greasy.

Great little Cafe, stopped by on a busy Sunday morning and was seated efficiently, food and coffee came out in good time considering the place was packed, and was delicious. Had the salmon benedict which was generous and served with high quality smoked salmon, well poached eggs.

The comic book themed menus are pretty cool and work with their theme.

Upon arriving, we were greeted by professional and friendly staff who seated us straight away. We arrived at 2:00pm so there was no wait for a table but have seen a line at peak times. The menu, although small, caught my attention and I decided to order a lamb bowl. Food arrived quick and was delicious!

Very pleased with the food and service here! Love this place for brunch. I don’t think there are many brunch/breakfast places around Burwood.. so it’s good to know there is a great one :D

Friendliest staff. Yummiest food. They've really been able to capture the ultimate in flavour combinations. The apple pancakes are an absolute must.

Funky cafe which is family friendly.

Menus come inside comics & very artistic. There is plenty of outdoor seating and very shady as it is underneath the apartment complex.

Ordered the corn fritters which was a good sized portion & everything went well together. The fried capers also gave an extra crunchy boost to each bite which helped if the egg yolk drenched the fritters too much.

The other order was the smashed avo, was a good portion as well (unfortunately no pic of this).

Service was attentive & food also came out at a good pace. Coffee is also good here. Prices are slightly on the pricy side but was satisfied with the dishes. Would come here again for sure!

Great little spot for a bite to eat or coffee, smart & attentive service that is worth the price. Even when busy the service impresses. Pencils on the table was a nice gesture for those with little ones or those that can't stop fidgeting, never drawn on a eatery's menu before! Can be a bit windy due to design of the complex (nothing they can do) but has inside tables availible as well
