Opal Cove Resort - Coffs Coast

I had a brilliant experience here during a week long course.
Room was amazing, beds were comfortable & shower pressure AMAZING!
The food was absolutely fantastic!
Buffet breakfast to die for.

Function rooms were great and super useful for a range of sizes.

Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to use much of the facilities, but access to the beach was great!

The staff were friendly and professional, the room was comfortable, clean and well presented. The resort restaurant was wonderful and the food was yum. They have buffet breakfast for $30 per adult too. Thankyou Opal Cove Resort for a fabulous 2 night weekend stay. Definitely recommend this resort to anyone wanting to stay by the beach, close to The big Banana and families with young children. They have games aswell. Enjoy!

VERY NICE! Lovely hotel with many things to do at the hotel and around the area. It’s right next to a beautiful beach, which is a 2 minute walk away. The hotel staff are very nice, the restaurant is also quite good! I had a great time there in the summer and recommend it to anyone looking to get away!

I want to say a huge thank you to the staff at the Opal Cove Resort who have been extremely helpful. I forgot my jewellery box with a lot of valuable jewellery and the housekeeping and reception staff made sure it was returned to me, all in one piece. I am so grateful for their help! On top of that, the resort was lovely, and in a beautiful location right on the beach. Will definitely be coming back again.

I was very cautious when booking Opal Cove due to some of the reviews, although I needn’t have worried as our family had an absolutely fantastic time. The resort is a little dated, but that didn’t detract from our enjoyment, I particularly loved the beautiful tree-lined driveway leading up to the resort from the main road. There is so much to do for families, from the swimming pool with a slide, a separate spa as well as a pool bar in the afternoons serving food, drinks and ice-creams (we didn’t even need to leave our lounges as they come around and serve you!). There’s a mini golf area, a games area and as we were there over Christmas, evening movies with inexpensive pop corn and choc tops. Being a bit older, our kids could go off and do their own thing and were always very safe.
We booked one of the villas and the one we were given was fantastic, really clean and modern and for the price, given cost of living at the moment, it was great value for money. The food and drinks in the restaurant were always great and we particularly enjoyed happy hour from 5 pm, I’m not sure I’ve ever had drinks as cheap as this while on holidays. Most of the staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful (yes, we did run into a couple of unfriendly and unhelpful people), but again that didn't detract from our enjoyment. A special shout out to the lovely lady who served me and made me a coffee each morning, she is an absolute asset to your team (sorry I didn’t get her name).
Our visit to Opal Cove was great value for money and with direct flights on Qantas Link we’ll definitely come back again.

Yeh this place is a little tired but the value for money is great. Staff have all been awesome and friendly. Would recommend spending extra for ocean facing. Food at the restaurant was so good, better than most cafes etc these days. Overall for a cheap beachfront getaway this is an absolutely cracker option

I am not in the habit of posting reviews, though felt compelled after seeing all of the trivial nonsense rating this place down.

Yes, the bathrooms are looking a tad tired, though generally I go to a resort to enjoy the facilities; not to sit on the toilet. The room was large, clean and quiet - everything we wanted.

The pool is huge and my kids went up and down the slide several hundred times. Beautiful gardens also as a backdrop.

We visited the restaurant and loved it also. Breakfast was the standard Buffett though nice enough. Loved this place, well worth a visit!

My partner and I stayed in the honey moon suit from the 12th-14th of January and I couldn’t be happier! We had an amazing time.
Reception staff we lovely when we checked in.

Our room was clean, roomy, had a little fridge and a beautiful ocean view.
The spa in the bedroom is a beautiful touch.

We had dinner at horizon, Lucas and the lovely Indian man who’s name I didn’t catch unfortunately (I’m so sorry) had amazing customer service and were so nice and did everything to make sure we had a lovely dinner.

Pool is big with a slide for the kids, mini golf, tennis, games room was super fun and the short walk to the pretty much private beach is stunning.

All in all very impressed and we will be back!!

This was a wonderful relaxing break it’s so lovely to be able to sit by the pool at the restaurant on our balcony of our room and hear the waves breaking 24 hours a day so relaxing with the smell of the fresh air coming in over the ocean
The employees go out of their way to make it a pleasurable holiday and nothing is too much for them you only need to ask and they will help the accommodation had spaciousness rooms very well kept and they were very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable I will definitely be coming back here in the future

It does need a little refurb, however the service is personal and professional. Clean tidy rooms, delicious food, lovely pool.

Great location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was first class. Layout of the resort is great.

The entrance is impacted by all the road construction, so take care. But once inside, the venue and service are great as a conference venue.

Nice place for lay overnight stay, or a couple of days to hang out and explore Coffs Harbour

Booked for one night, it was at a very convenient place. You can have sea view from balcony and hear waves at night. Plenty of things to explore for one day. Kids were happy to have some time in pool also to play in game zone.
Room was big and nice, overall comfy.
It is a short walk from private beach which is very serene, but I think not very well lit at night so that can be improved. A late night walk on beach would be very soothing.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, can plan sometime again.

Amazing location. Very close to the beach, shops and all the attractions in Coffs Harbour. The sea view room is really good and watching Sunrise from your room is very beautiful. There are a lot of things to do in this resort. They have taken care of even very small things like a car wash station, sauna, pools, gym etc.

Had a bit of an incident when we checked in however it was quickly rectified and free upgrade was given. The rooms were very spacious and looked fresh and modern. However the base model bathrooms def feel dated. The shower bath combos really need a revamp as the non slip thing on the bottom of the bath is so gross I don't think anyone is taking a bath in that anyway,

First time visit. Although we only stayed one night on our way down to Sydney, it was a great experience! Considering it being early Jan and school holidays, we expected it to be crazy busy, but it was a happy medium :) … Balcony views of the ocean, short walk to the beach, nice sized pool (which the kids loved), busy but accommodating restaurant for dinner, lovely cocktails/mock tails and staff who were very welcoming. If you want a resort feel vay-cay in Coffs Harbour don’t go past Opal Cove Resort!

Had trouble with Wi-Fi in our room and we needed it for work. Offered, then moved us to, a much larger room. Wi-Fi then worked fine. Nice view of the ocean. Large pool. Took very good care of us. Very nice stay and would stay here again.
