Such a beautiful romantic getaway! We stayed in one of the boathouses and it was just gorgeous. Was so beautiful and private, we had little ducks swimming up to our balcony all weekend. My partner and I had the most magical time away, enjoying cheese and wine with our feet up enjoying the view. The restaurant is also to die for!! Highly recommend!

We were surprised when we arrived by the beautiful grounds and gardens. We got a seat looking out over the dam with fish and water lizards 🙂.
The food was very nice although unexpectedly served in takeaway bowls with wooden cutlery. Staff were amazing 😍

What a beautiful spot. Leaves and Fishes is peaceful, stunning and the perfect choice for families too. There is bread for kids to feed the ducks and fish. My son had a wonderful time. The food is great and priced well. The service is amazing. Staff are very friendly. Lots of options for adults and kids. Thank you for a beautiful lunch experience.

The food here is absolutely delicious.

What a lovely place for a lunch time date, the Asian inspired menu was so well done. The flavours, ingredients, presentation was all amazing.

Additionally we loved our white wines we had, the location is so peaceful and customer service was great.

Highly recommend if you want a nice Lunch in the Hunter Valley.

One of the most beautiful venues we have been to in the Hunter Valley. Tapas style dishes cooked to perfection. Some of the nicest wings we have ever had. Great service. Can't wait to come back. Accommodation looks amazing.

This little gem is one of the best kept secrets of the Hunter. Cool place, taste and flavour takes centre stage. Chicken wings is juicy and tasty. Great value for a menu you won't find anywhere else. Definitely will be back

Servings are small, but delicious. Szechuan spiced chicken wings were amazing. We ended up drizzling our chips with the leftover pepper caramel sauce. Beer battered fish had a fantastic bite with just the right amount of oil. Atmosphere is outstanding. Will definitely come back.

I had an amazing birthday experience in Leaves and Fishes. Never been to the place but I was surprised of how beautiful the place was. We sat outside the restaurant and the ambiance is top notch. The food is good and reasonably priced (cheaper than many restaurants in Hunter valley).

All the staff were very accommodating. My relatives were very happy about my choice and we will be back next time.

A must try for everyone.

The scenery is to die for, the food is magnificent and the service is fantastic. You need to come and experience this tranquil setting. My family and I had the scallops, fish and chips, tuna tartare, fresh king prawns... pretty much the whole menu! I loved the staff and their attentiveness. We would definitely be coming back the next time we are in the hunter valley. The pond even has live fish living on it.

Lovely little restaurant overlooking the water. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious, highly recommend the scallops. They have clean bathrooms with a baby change table. We were also lucky enough to be able to feed the fish and resident water dragons.

We chose this Restaurant for my father in law's 80th Birthday lunch.
We were not disappointed.
Service was lovely & food delicious!

The view is beautiful by the pond , and plenty of antiques as well as a Shed full of surprises to look at!

If you want great food without the exorbitant Hunter price, this is the perfect place for a lovely casual lunch that won’t break the bank. Our only regret was not leaving enough room for dessert and coffee. Highly recommended 👍👍👍

Fantastic casual lunch. Delicious food including dietary allergens listed on the menu for all the main meals - lots of gluten free options for a coeliac. Beautiful setting and great for groups of all sizes.

Lovely spot with great food, warm and friendly service. We ate on the covered deck while watching rain fall on the lake. The staff handed my 6 year old some bread to feed the fish, so she was entertained too

Also, the fridge meals are excellent and easy option for a tasty lockdown dinner. Very generous portion sizes!

The best food in the hunter. Fabulous Asian food, beautiful wine and ambiance. We had a wonderful lunch , can't recommend highly enough 👍✅
