Bombay Brasserie

We love the friendly husband and wife team that run this big restaurant. Unfortunately they struggle to get staff so they are often forced to only offer take away. So if they can’t let you dine in order takeaway and enjoy the flavours. We ordered the mixed entree - 2 pakoras, 1 vegetarian and one meat samosa and a piece of chicken tandoor each. Each item was a tasty treat and an ideal way to start. I tried the hot chicken vindaloo this time and it was just as good as the beef. My wife had the prawn masala and it had 9 prawns in it and the save was full of prawn flavour with a nice level of chilli. Great flavours, excellent quality at a reasonable price. The Penfolds Koonunga Hill wasn’t overpriced either. I hope they are able to attract staff and stay in business.

We enjoyed a very delicious meal here. The service staff were friendly and helpful. The naan bread ( with raisins & cashews ) was particularly tasty. Would definitely recommend a meal here. Don’t be put off by the exterior- the inside is quite spacious with vaulted ceilings. Prices also very reasonable.

The restaurant was quiet for a Saturday evening which was surprising given the quality of the food. The menu had the usual Indian dishes and the ones we chose were really tasty. The wine was very reasonably priced and a good selection. Have dined here a couple of times and have enjoyed our meals on each occasion. Most recently, we had three entrees (samosas, pakora and chicken tikka ) and one beef curry, rice and naan bread and all were delicious.

Mango curry is best curry! The garlic naan was legendary. Big feed and drinks for two blokes set us back no more than $80. Excellent quality, would recommend this hidden gem just off the main road every time.

It was fate that our accommodation was next door!! I'm from Sydney and the food BLEW MY MIND! I wish these guys were in Sydney so I could enjoy on a regular basis. Do yourself a favour and eat here when in or around Coffs Harbour - the staff are attentive, honest and AMAZING. The food....I can't even speak highly enough! We dined over 2 nights and had the quail, surf & turf, oysters, pork belly and duck & lychee curry - Tasty, quick & delicious. Very reasonably priced too!

We came here for dinner. I had phoned the day before to book and was told there was no need as there was only 2 of us. When we arrived and mentioned this, we were told that a table had been set aside for us.
The menu is typical of Indian restaurants in Australia, with a few variations to make it interesting. We had Goan fish curry and one of the paneer meals. We asked for medium spicy. Both meals were delicious - the fish curry creamy with coconut milk. A serve of rice, papadams, and one cheese and garlic baan and we had a perfect meal.
The menu is clearly marked for what contains gluten and what contains dairy - easy to order gluten-free.
Highly recommend this restaurant for Indian food.

Seems like a family run business, can understand the opening times from 5pm to 8.30pm, the chef takes pride in the food being prepared and served. I visited while travelling through on holidays and wasn't disappointed. Great food.

Beautiful food and excellent service. Johti and Joyce consistantly do an excellent job. We first encountered these guys at their previous spot in Boambee Bay resort and our first mission upon returning to Coffs was to track these guys down to have more of their food. We'll keep coming back over and over again.

Lovely atmosphere with modern decor and very friendly family owned staff. Food is authentic and innovative. Curries and Naans are not very oily, but very tasty. Fast service and lots of sitting space is a welcome for families.

We had a very lovely meal here while visiting Australia. The kids really enjoyed chicken and chips while the adults all enjoyed very tasty Indian food and pleasant service.

The chef clearly takes great pride in what is plated up. Great menu. Excellent presentation. Wonderful and delicious. Highly recommended.

Excellent service and a welcoming environment. Menu was impressively large with both western and indian dishes and a large drinks menu and dedicated cocktail menu.
