Penny Whistlers

I love Penny Whistlers and have been a regular customer for 5 years. It's a place I meet up with my friends for coffee/breakfast or brunch.
The view is sensational.
The food is always good.
Service is good. Though understandably, sometimes one needs to wait for a table and or service.
It may be difficult to find a park near the venue but it's always a nice walk exploring Kiama.

Absolutely loved our dinner at Penny Whistlers earlier today. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The food was fantastic!! Great selection of cocktails.

Will definitely return.

What a great find staying at the Sebel ! Gem of a bar serving great drinks and yummy cocktails and food . Recommend booking as they are busy . We came for dinner and were not disappointed . Superb service and the wait staff were efficient and made good recommendation’s on what to eat . We loved the meal and view looking across the park to the sea .

I've only had coffee so far after a stroll by the seaside and then a dip in the ocean pool after that. Ace beans + lovely staff and an excellent atmosphere and location.

First time at night eating at Penny whistlers. My meal was delicious. Margaritas, and they even made an no alcohol Margarita. Beautiful view of the Kiama Harbour. I would recommend this place & try the sirloin steak.

I just loved the dessert, and coffee was just perfectly made by their beautiful barista. The place was so busy, but two girls just handled everything perfectly. I was so overwhelmed by their service. Its coffee just refreshed me after a 12 hrs shift , and I just enjoyed my weekend dining in pennywhistlers . There were two adorable girls . 🥰🥰Their service was just wonderful, I would love to be back to the cafe just because of their behaviour and customer service, its better than Diggies without any doubt. I just loved their food and service, I definitely recommend it . ❤❤❤🥰🥰

Had lunch here today. The service was excellent and so was the food. I had the fish and chips and my friends had the wagyu beef burger and zataar chicken salad. Will definitely eat here again when I visit Kiama again

The breakfast and coffee were top-notch, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere, complemented by the beautiful ocean view, added a special charm to our visit.

Overall, our time here was thoroughly enjoyable, and we're already looking forward to returning during our future visit to Kiama.

Amazing food quality and loved the service !! Loved the way the service served us !! Will definitely visit Penny again.. we didn’t have a table booked and waitresses told us to wait for 10 mins and we did so. They called us in a beautiful table with an mesmerising view of the harbour!!

Delicious breakfast with a perfect view! Worth making a reservation as it's usually packed (especially when weather is as good as it is....)
OK range of dietary requirements (e.g. any bread based choices can be made gluten free).
Yummy pot of chai masala tea.
The date and apricot loaf can be bought to re enjoyed at home.
Great place for locals but also to bring tourists-best view in town!

What a great little restaurant with a stunning view!
We enjoyed lots of seafood dishes whilst soaking in the beautiful views of Kiama. The evening slipped away in a beautiful atmosphere.
Highly recommend the Mocequa. A real hit for our group, flavoursome and enjoyed by all.

Found Penny Whistlers by accident. It was close to our parking spot. The food was fantastic. I haven't had fish that fresh and tasty in a very long time. Service was great too. Reasonably priced.

If you are looking for a great place to eat and complete with a stunning view over the ocean try out Penny Whistler in Kiama a short 30 minute trip from Wollongong.
They have a great menu, delicious coffee and friendly helpful staff.
I highly recommend the Bird Bowl! I was unsure as I've not tried something like this before but yes it was absolutely delicious and did not disappoint.
Come and try Penny Whistler yourself and if you have travelled even just a little to get there you will come away feeling more relaxed and as if you've had a one day holiday.

Nice small cafe/restaurant in heart of Kiama. Great location. The food is good and the coffee is delicious. We enjoyed the breakfast/lunch menu. This place is busy on weekends and need to find a parking nearby so plan accordingly. Definitely recommended. We will be back here again.

Excellent coffee and great food. Best latte and flat white I’ve had in a while. The food was delicious, I’d recommend the corn and capsicum fritters. Location is great but it’s busy at the weekend so it’s worth booking ahead of time.

We had breakfast and it was so good we returned a few days later for lunch with friends. Service is outstanding, food is fresh with many different items on the menu making it a difficult choice. Coffee hit the spot and add to that a breathtaking view. What more could you ask for.

I mean, look at that view! Come here on a sunny day like this one and it's well worth the wait. The Eggs Benedict was exactly what I wanted. I do find when the place gets busy, you can really feel the service start to slow down quite a bit. Regardless, this is a perfect place to have brunch or lunch while in Kiama.

Coastal gem!
Thank goodness I searched up best places to eat in Kiama before heading down south to this cute coastal suburb and Penny Whistlers came up best. Do yourself a favour and order The Tostada Bowl ... guaranteed to be a party in your mouth. Despite three large groups of people in the cafe, they accommodated three of us extremely well, timely with great customer service. Going back for sure!

Very refreshing dining area with clear view of the water front. Prawn fettuccine has extraordinary flavor. Highly recommend! Hot choc is delicious too. The scotch steak came with fresh steamed veggies. Meat itself is ok for the cut. Garlic & dijon butter on top did not quite work imo. Prefer the more traditional kind of sauces on meat. Btw s&p squid is nice as well as chai latte!
