A wonderful experience, all the waiters and waitresses were very attentive and patiently explained the details of the courses. The food was as amazing as 5 years ago when I first visited Restaurant Moon. Highly recommended! Unique cocktails and dishes! Especially the dessert flavours of the winter forest! Got the additional ox Soup and king Prawn! Flavours for both were also great!

Our first time to dine in this restaurant. We had a fantastic night celebrating my husband’s birthday. The waitresses and waiters were very attentive and patiently explained the details of the each course.
Foods were divines and cocktails were delicious.
Would definitely come back and love to try the next seasonal degustation.

I booked at Moon after searching for a restaurant that was open on a Sunday night in Darlinghurst; the options are pretty slim…

I think due to the quiet nature of Sunday the dining room wasn’t busy with only two other tables for the early sitting we had at 5:30pm.

The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere with comfortable seating options but nothing alfresco.

The service is prompt and friendly; maybe not as polished as other fine dining establishments but it has a very family run feel which for me is really nice and welcoming.

The fusion of haute French and Thai seems unusual but is very well executed. All the dishes we tried in the degustation menu were really well thought out and executed.

The ingredients were super fresh and well prepared by a very skilled kitchen. Many of the dishes moved well into the molecular gastronomy space and as well as as being artistic in their presentation also tasted delicious.

There was a great selection of wines to accompany the meal. You can opt for a wine paring if you wish.

This place is one of those little gems you reserve for a special occasion or to impress those fussy foodie friends.

When people talk about our taking a food journey Moon is one of those places that has a fantastic road to travel.

Very nice restaurant. A bit of gastronomy. Love the scallop mixed with the tom yum soup. Even though it's cold, it's refreshing. Cool cocktail with a bubble. The beef was soft. It was a pleasant night to enjoy my birthday

We had a fantastic night celebrating our anniversary here. The atmosphere was cosy and intimate, and the servers were all extremely welcoming and attentive. They also went above and beyond to ensure our dietary requirements were accommodated, even swapping out dishes when needed, which was very much appreciated.

The food was all delicious and the entrees and dessert in particular were very creatively presented. The price was also very reasonable considering the quality of the experience, we would very happily come back!

Our second visit and it was just as good as the first. Beautifully presented food with quality ingredients and a unique mix of flavours. Always happy to dine here and they never seem to disappoint. We especially love the desert! Thanks again Restaurant Moon!

Took my husband here for his birthday. I’ve been here several times already and each time the quality of the food is just incredible! I didn’t think it could get even better but they are always getting more creative and this time I have to say it truly blue my mind. It’s not just how tasty the food is but it’s a unique experience with each dish you try! If you want to impress someone, then bring them here!! The service was also fantastic and Jackie really looked after us. I can’t wait to come back again!!!

Every dish was amazing and the staff were wonderful.

Moon is a fantastic modern Thai restaurant. The sleek decor and inventive menu offer a fresh take on traditional dishes. Highlights include the candle fish entree and the spectacular dessert! With attentive service and a cozy ambiance, Moon is a must-visit for Thai food lovers.

Restaurant Moon was absolutely incredible! We came here for our anniversary and were blown away by how creative and delicious food their food was.

We got the degustation menu and everything was such a delight - but my standouts would be the smoked corned chicken tartlets, steamed egg custard, and the matcha / chocolate forest dessert.

A final note - my husband has an intolerance and they were so accommodating - giving him alternative dishes or separating the sauces so he could still enjoy the degustation.

Thank you for such a magical time. If you like Chaco Bar or Soul Dining, you will LOVE Restaurant Moon. A huge recommendation from us - we would definitely come again in the future.

The best asian degustation menu ever! I have been there twice already and I will be more for sure. Foods are very fantastic, I am actually Thai and I love it so much. No just only cooking thai food but your presentation and creative are so nice. And the price is not that expansive compared to what you will get.

Highly recommend Restaurant Moon. We enjoyed every item on the degustation menu and our cocktails. From the theatrics of the duck fat trout pate candle and the steamed egg custard to the simplicity of the perfectly cooked steak. My favourite would have to be the scallops with the tom kha broth. It was both bright, light and spicy. We both could have eaten this dish again and again. My wife also really enjoyed the egg custard which was very delicious.
Desert was probably our least favourite but only because we’re not fans of matcha but there were plenty of delicious components to enjoy. Loved that we could byow. Will happily dine here again.

An absolutely pleasant experience. The interior is nice and cozy, the staff were very attentive, and the dishes were ingenious and incredibly tasty.

We got the degustation menu which was plenty of food for the two of us. My personal favorite was the dessert, but all dishes were very delicious and the entrees were especially clever in presentation.

It was an amazing experience!! It is more than food. It was an art!!! Sooooooo delicious and the food style? decoration? I dont know how to describe it, but you got to try it! I swear everybody loves it!
