Wow.. Kids loved the lessons. Grown ups loved the runs. Everything was super convenient. Stores were very helpful (especially at Base n Edge). Meals were easy to find. Could do with more shuttle buses but overall, a great experience.

We just had the best ski trip to Hotham! Loved it! The kids ski program called Mighty Mites is fabulous. Lovely teachers. My daughter had a 2 hour private lesson and was skiing well by the end of it (first time!), so I would strongly recommend the lessons! These photos are of the Big D beginners area as we spent our time there with the kids. Can’t wait to try the full resort out next time!

The panoramic views from the mountain's summit are awe-inspiring, Had a snowtastic weekend with my first snowboarding experience. Highly recommended to spend a snow holiday

We arrived there under blizzard conditions and the road was a bit chaotic because it was snowing and icy. We brought chains but our car is 4x4 do we didn't use and it was fine to go up the mountain. The first days was very cloudy and with poor visibility but the last 2 days the sun came up and it was beautiful. The snow was in good condition considering it was the end of August. In the sunny days the runs were a bit icy but overall in good condition. There is lots of blue and black runs and some bits through the trees. There is a bit of lines in the lifts but nothing bad. Lots of restaurants with ordinary food, nothing fancy but good.
Kids club is the best part my 4 year old had lots of fun ...I hope next year the day care for babies is open too so then we can come back.

What a brilliant resort. We couldn't stay long this time as we were headed from Sydney to Melbourne. But we will be back. This resort is absolutely fantastic. Many hire and dining options, we went into the Hotel and they had Mulled wine which was perfect. The parmigiana and schnitzel were both great and the mustard dresses salad! Yum. The toboggan play area was perfect for the littlies. The drive up is breathtaking. We were so fortunate to have the weather changing with cloud, clear and snow within a few short hours giving us spectacular views and experience.
The slopes we saw were nice wide and long and there was plenty of snow. Drive out the otherside on the Great Alpine road for a truly unforgettable experience, just take it very easy and bring chains in case. We also saw the XTrail we were following almost run into the embankment & they weren't going fast. The resort and drive was like you're being transported into another world, perhaps Europe.

One of my favourite place to spend the winner, snowboarding down the slopes at Mt.Hotham. Easy access as you can drive up and park next to your accommodation and start to unload your luggage without the hassle of having to get the snow taxi like other Alpine resort when you are staying overnight.
Recently it is becoming more expensive to spend the holiday here.

The best place to visit in winters. This place got plenty of options for adventure and sport. The chill bar in Hotham central serve good food. Make sure you carry necessary gear before you go there as it will be slightly costly to rent at Hotham.

Mt Hotham is famous during winter, but you need to visit there during off season like in the Easter as we did to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Australian Alps without snow.
Our drive from harietville to Melbourne via Dinner Plain and Omeo was an amazingly memorable travel. Section up to Mt Hotham was not only scenic also somewhat fearful due to the zigzag road with steep road edges.

Check my amazing photos!!! We came here for the school holidays last week. The gorgeous views covering with snow impressed me deeply! I booked my two kids (6 and 8 years old) for the private lessons in Big D for four days. We were in a large group around 5 families. Our coach Kris and Ben were very nice and with lots of patience. My kids were both having fun and learned a lot about ski. We hope to come back again during next spring holidays! I have been to Mt Baw Baw, Mt Buller and Lake Mountain before, Mt Hotham is definitely the best.

Best riding in Aus easily for the combo of snow quality, quantity, and intermediate-advanced terrain, without even factoring the additional terrain just outside the resort boundaries.

Even on the busiest Saturdays, if you just take the singles queue you'll wait very little time to be on the chair.

Great community of kind people who just love riding/skiing and the mountains.

Have been through here a few times over the years during the summer months. A great place to stop and have a look around. Accommodation around for those whom want to have an over night stay or longer, even during the snow season. A good place to check out.

Picturesque scenery, and not to cool in November

The best Resort in the country. More steeper terrain keeps the masses of newbies away, making the place much more enjoyable.
A great night life after the lifts have closed, for everyone to make the most of. Amazing views across the High Country, with Mt Feathertop and the razorback ridge, a standout on the landscape.
Lots of day and overnight parking, with a great free shuttle bus service around the village.
Catch the Dysons PTV bus service up the mountain from Bright or Omeo, for the best value ride to Mt Hotham.

No gate house, and you can drive straight up to ski area and around the mountain and park anywhere. Don't have to far to walk. Food is best around Hotham Central.
We came from Lakes Entrance side and the road was excellent. My wife gets sick from the curve roads
