KG Cafe Kiama

We stumbled upon this place on the long weekend and I honestly don’t know what I am going to do when I go back home!! The food was so full of flavour, the staff were attentive and super friendly and the atmosphere was awesome. Will be the top of my list when asked about places to go in Kiama!

My partner and I just stumbled across this place while walking down the street and it was really lovely. The Food was amazing (although I am a South African) so it was a real treat to be able to order some South African dishes and enjoy them. You won’t be hungry or unsatisfied at all.

Went out for a lovely Family dinner at KG cafe Kiama. Food was amazing, service was great and efficient. Staff were lovely to chat to. The Atmosphere provided great engagement as the cafe is filled with South African Characteristics

A hidden gem that needs to be exposed to everyone in Sydney.
Good quality and portion sizes.
So tasty, will be back to try other things on the menu.
Do yourself a favour and come here for some great food!

Sue served me and she was lovely. I’m vegan and the vegan board was delicious and very big. Easily something you can share. I took the leftovers with me because it was too tasty to leave. I also had a fresh orange juice and it is 💯 fresh 👌

My partner and I were in Kiama for the weekend and we walked by KG’s Cafe and it looked so lovely and inviting. We made a booking for dinner that evening and decided to have a coffee to break up our walk. The decor is stunning and the beautiful lady that looked after us was just gorgeous! She explained the history behind the food to us! South African food has so much flavour and I would drive 2 hours again just to go there for a meal. Thank you for such wonderful warm hospitality and beautiful food. See you next time 🙋🏻‍♀

We had the most delicious kai there today. My brother and I ordered the sharing platter and it was so good. We were not disappointed.👌 Amazing hospitality by the owners (I think they were the owners). Thank you so much!

What can I say. Best Ribs I have eaten in 54 years of life. My family and I just had an amazing dinner. We got both the Beef and the Pork ribs as well as an entree and the Garlic bread. My daughter had the cheese burger and chips. Cannot fault the food. We eat out a lot and this is now going to be on our list of regular places. The owners were lovely and food was amazing.

Amazing food! Had the KG Big Breakfast (half option), Eggs Benny, vetkoek & mince and koeksisters. Great service. Would definitely do a breakfast trip from Sydney. Highly recommend!

A delicious South African meal at this funky little restaurant. Like others we stumbled upon it and weren't sorry. Two delicious, flavour filled salads later we left very happy. Will return.

I came tonight with my boyfriend and we have both never had South African food. 11 out of 10 so much flavour. We even had to try a dessert because it was so good! If I come to Kiama again I will definitely be going to KG cafe! Staff were also really friendly and helpful and we could feel the passion they had for the food. P.S I really liked the decor and lights.

Greeted with a warm welcome, we stopped in to try something a little different in Kiama. The vibe was amazing with lovely decor, friendly staff and live music outside. We chose from the Sth African menu and it was brilliant - fresh and tasty (and put the Bitlong on the side to make mine vegetarian but for my fiance to eat instead). Both meals were yum. We saw other meals going out which all looked great too (and huge - you won't walk away hungry!). The iced coffee and mocha were also really tasty.
Highly recommend this place for its chill vibe, beautiful food & lovely staff.

What a terrific and novel eatery. You don't come across many south african restaurants and the food here is beautiful. The staff are lovely and enjoy talking you through the exotic menu. Even the coffees and juices are beautiful!

I had a great experience in this restaurant, delicious food with amazing dishes. The lady that I guess is the owner was so welcoming and friendly, great service.

I drove up from Sussex Inlet with an overseas visitor who is Vegan..I have to say first impressions were excellent..service and atmosphere perfect and the food…let’s say I will return..superb..just superb.
