Avondale Golf Club Pymble

I have played in two Services Golf Days now and loved it both times.
It is a superb golf course,
The veterans service was very respectfully conducted prior to our golf and contributed to an excellent experience.
I'll be back next year if invited.

Beautiful and spacious location. Excellent gardens. Light feel inside with plenty of daylight coming through the many windows and doors. Friendly and professional staff. The food was on the higher end of the scale. Sufficient bar assortment. Excellent kitchen. Good and easy parking. Wheelchair accessible. Good venue for events. Sound restrictions for music and live bands from 11pm.

Great course, challenging... The back 9 are some of the most interesting holes!

I had my ceremony and reception for my wedding at Avondale and I am so glad I did.

It is the most beautiful setting for a wedding and we got some stunning photographs on the course.

Avondale is extremely lucky to have Ryan as a head chef. He made some terrific suggestions through the wedding planning process and everything ran like clockwork. The quality of the food from when we tried it at our tasting was exactly the same on the night even though we had 122 guests. He did a great job of handling some of the dietary restrictions guests had and all of the food was fine dining, restaurant quality.

Laura was a superstar to deal with and is such an asset to Avondale as their events coordinator. She took over our previous coordinator and went above and beyond for us. On the day she really was the glue that held everything together and became our personal wedding planner. She had an eye for detail and followed all of our instructions for how we wanted to set things up. She kept a close on the timing that we had set out so everything ran like clockwork. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she made our dream become a reality. It was the most magical day thanks to all of her hard work!

Great golf club, staff are always friendly and welcoming. There's a driving range for you to practice before teeing off. Course condition is always immaculate and the flags have reflectors to easily laser the correct yardage. Food at the club house is also great and facilities are newly renovated.

If you are a golfer and have never played Avondale GC then you are missing a challenging and amazing golf experience.
Find a friendly member who can sponsor you on to the course. You will be rewarded by a great day's golf.

Sensational golf club and clubhouse experience. Members and staff could not have been more friendly to our playing group. Very well manicured and bunkered course , quick greens but tight off the tee , will reward good iron players . Old school clubhouse is beautifully fitted out with some excellent memorabilia . Cant wait to go back next year

Just had our daughters wedding at this amazing venue. The venue was beautiful, the food was amazing especially the beef . Amanda & the A team looked after us all with such care & procision the day went off without a hitch, which for me as mother of the bride, I was soo grateful .
The MC was also wonderful- Cannot speak more highly of the club & their efforts to make our day truly special .

I was at Avondale yesterday for the Sydney Cover Rotary fundraiser 4 ball ambrose. The atmosphere, weather and service was lovely. As a novice golfer I was very thankful of the tips from the pro before starting and the welcome I received from other members. There was no feeling of alienation on not knowing the game! The course is very scenic and well marked and the Buffet dinner we received following the game was great. Fresh with a nice selection. The desert could have been more imaginative but that would be the only negative. Thank you Avondale!

Have played as a guest. WOW!! What an amazing golf club. No wonder former PM's play here, and a wine list as long as a Bryson Dechambeau drive (321 yards!). Very old world and charming. Nice to have a lovely female President also.

Attended a 21st birthday party and the drinks, food and service were all tops.

Avondale golf club was fantastic! The course, the pro shop and club house were all in immaculate condition. I would like to personally thank the pro shop staff as they were extremely helpful and the have the best coaches in not only Sydney but Australia. Thanks for the lesson which resulted in 47 points.

Amazing food, very reasonably priced too. What a nice place! More refined, more discerning crowd than your usual run of the mill golf club.

Played golf here on the 31st January 2012 in a ladies open day. What a magnificent golf course.
Greens are extremely fast and slope every which way, not a pitch mark on any of them. If you chip badly many of the greens drop off making it hard to make par. I played with a member and noticed her approach, she pitched short and the balls rolled up onto the green. Course is not all flat there are some reasonably steep hills. Most holes have sloping fairways either L-R or R-L. Fairways are easy to hit off and the rough isn't that bad. Reasonable amount of bunkers in good condition. If I get the chance to play again I would jump at it. The good thing being a lady is they have open days at a great price.

This place was absolutely amazing as Ann 11 y/o junior member the staff and members are so nice. The course is amazing! Very good practice fairway range to hit balls and amazing putting green👌 Very good

This has to be one of the best kept secrets in Sydney and is only 40 minutes from the CBD. Once you hit off in the middle of suburbia you lose all sense of any habitation around you. The course is challenging and has a few signature holes such as the par 5 third (longest in Sydney) and 14th and a wonderful dog-leg left on the 10th. You need to manage some of the sloping fairways to avoid ending up in bogey territory. The clubhouse is a real clubhouse rather than a massive bar and features a beautiful open fire in winter.The food is excellent as are the Santa Anna couch fairways. Note also that you have a free range 50 metres from the first tee.

Such a beautiful course. Lovely hospitable staff with a professional and caring team. Recognition of my grandfather and a beautiful catering meal.
