Great old style pub with a cosy cafe clean cosy room's with a nice beer garden. Friendly welcoming staff peaceful little villiage with a bit of history and some pleasant parks about 6 minutes from the great western highway lots of atmosphere good lunch stop if 3 heading to the central west. The Rydal Cafe is a must stop if you're in the area, or even if you are not. Great food, great staff and very cool pub and beer garden in a lovely country town.
Don't be put off if you try to call and the phone doesn't connect.
The train between Sydney and Bathurst stops in town, great day trip or for a weekend.
Just do it!!!

New owner and staff are doing a great job on the pub and tidying up the grounds. Staff are very friendly and we are eagerly looking forward to tasting what the future cook brings to the table hopefully some tasty home cooked pub meals and treats , until then a great little country pub with lots of character for a visit and a cold beer in a cute little town .

A great little country pub, Liz makes you feel very welcome & greets you with that great smile of hers. Typical country pub atmosphere.

What a truly fantastic country pub.
Rooms were great, nicely renovated and super clean.
Hosts Judy and Phil were so friendly and nice.
Drinks were nice and cold and the food was very delicious.
Close drive to bigger towns like Lithgow and Bathurst. And lots to look at driving around.

It was the go to place for me while I was staying in Rydal for a summer weekend retreat. Phil behind the bar was helpful and friendly. The food was excellent. The drinks were cold!

This is what you think of when you think of an old Aussie Pub! Beautiful building, a warm reception by the publican great beer in tap and fantastic pub style menu. We had a great meal in the beer garden with great service. I really enjoyed the visit and I aim for it to be one of many.

Lovely owners, great pub with awesome courtyard out the back. You can sit on the grass, or lie down looking at the sky as I did while drinking a beer. They are doing the rooms up and they look great. Didn’t sleep here because we already had accommodation but it looked great and is very affordable. Highly recommend!

One of the best pub feeds we have ever had! We stopped in for lunch and enjoyed the beautiful beer garden and had up there with one of best chicken schnitzels I’ve had! Can’t wait to go back again soon

Cold winters day, so the roaring open fire and freshly ground beans for my cappuccino were so welcoming. Friendly publican & staff with a good range of liquor. Ask for the excellent Rydal extra extra dry beer 😉🍺 Great food, my friend recommends the chicken parmigiana, I had a hearty veggie burger with pineapple.

Great comfortable room for us, plenty big enough. Mixed with the locals and several patrons talking the talk, having a laugh along with mine host Phil. Enjoyed the banter along with great cold beer, particularly the XXXdry beer. $2 from the sale goes to charity. You go through some fun house rules with Phil.

We stopped here after being out on the 4wd tracks and sat outside in the beer garden and enjoyed the scenery. Food and service was fantastic. Really nice cozy country town pub.

Great little country pub. Phil is a legend. Food is very good and beers are even better. Rydal XXX-Dry is delicious as well.

Super friendly owners and a great pub feed. The pub has just been renovated and is very nice inside with a lovely beer garden out the back. Highly recommend stopping by and helping out the locals.

Had an amazing time spent here over the long weekend with mates, the hospitality that Phill and Judy showed was amazing. Highly recommend coming here, and also highly recommend the triple extra dry on tap.

Yep friends of ours have been banging on about this pub for ages. Well ###@@ they are right, great atmosphere, food and drinks. Loved it all. We'll be back!!!!

I liked this quiet little country hotel, the service, the food & the publican where faltless. I hear the accommodation is reasonably priced. The kids played darts inside as well as playing pool outside, whilst us oldies reflected on the 4 wheel driving adventure we'd just done. Sitting in the bear garden with a cold beer & a delicious steak, chip, gravy & salad. Our father & son boys weakened of 13 of us was outstanding, the short stay at the Alexander Hotel was just what we all needed after our eventfull day.
