McDougall St Jacaranda Trees

This is a most popular place in Sydney to see purple jacaranda flowers.
During the spring season around October, trees started to change into purple beauty.

Flowers fall from tree to the ground and give you a very elegant look.

It's off milson Park, so it's a convenient location to sit down and relax and enjoy nature.

Great place to visit during the Jacaranda season especially if you like taking photos. Off season it is a great place for a walk in the park with your furry friends. The view of the marina is also a sight to behold.

This is a must-visit photo-taking spot for Jacaranda trees. I went there in late Oct and they are in full bloom. Please be aware of traffic and do not disturb the people living nearby when taking photos.

Awesome. Overwhelming. Gorgeous. It's how I would describe it. My photos do not do it justice. You have to be there to view it yourself....the purple-lined street and the purple-sprinkled ground 🥰

More than just beautiful. We visited it on Sunday, so too many people, but we are always busy in weekdays. Yet it is definitely joyous for the eyes, so definitely go for seeing this

When it comes to Spring, you shound visit this beautiful place, many jacaranda's tree are blooming and makes a beautiful landscape.

My parrot and I visited today (15 Oct 2023) to catch some Jacaranda trees, and indeed the Jacaranda trees have started to bloom but not in full bloom yet. I reckon they will be in full bloom in two weeks :) Both of us still enjoy the view of start-to-bloom Jacaranda in a not-so-crowded setting :) A super pleasant walk down McDougall St with a lovely view of the purple trees, love it.

My parrot and I visited McDougall St to see the Jacaranda trees in full bloom on 12 Nov 2022. The weather was fantastic:a bright sunny day with blue sky. The Jacaranda trees are in full bloom and the arches of Jacaranda across the street from right to left, and the bright purple color form the purple “ceiling” of the street which is just amazing and simply gorgeous! A must visit. The parrot loved it a lot and had been saying a lot of hellos to the fellow visitors.

The road was closed to the car when we visited which made it easier/safer to take photos. Please pay attention to the cars if you visit on a day when the road is not closed (safety first). We arrived at around 9:15am and there were plenty of street parkings.

Best Jacaranda viewing experience in Sydney to me, and it is equivalent to autumn foliage viewing at Honor Avenue in Macedon (Vic).

It can be extremely busy during Jacaranda season, but it is a lovely and quiet park for a relaxing weekend picnic.

It is a beautiful place to see Jacaranda in full bloom. Just be cautious driving through there. People have no regard for safety when it comes to taking that perfect photo.

McDougall st in Kirribilli has become famous for its archway of purple hues, which occurs every year from mid October to the beginning of November. Its definitely worth a visit if you're already in the area or nearby, but if you're intending on driving half way across Sydney to see it, there's plenty of other suburbs that have Jacaranda trees around. Its also near impossible to find a parking spot on the street. You're best off parking at Greenwood Plaza and walking down (about 20mins). This year Sydney had a bit of wind and rain, and as you can see from the vid, we lost quite a few blooms. Still, its a pleasant walk to pass the time. 🇦🇺

The best time to visit this place is October or better I say when the weather is getting warm. Picturesque.

Only 6 weeks of the year to see the amazing Jacarandas in Sydney. This is a great place to go!

Very nice but crowded. Perhaps should go early but the sunshine wont be the best for photography. Nice park nearby too. Love this place. The road is closed so pedestrians only, except the cars of the locals.

So good place during the jacranda season. I visited this place first when I was new in Australia and went there with my friends. Had some good memories and fun time. Would recommend anyone who is looking for a good photographic spot for jacranda season to visit this place.

Although we went during the weekday, it was still crowded due to the Jacaranda season. Highly recommend to go early in the morning to take good photos.

The street looked really beautiful. Cloudy weather and purple flower make it really special. Bit busy on the weekend as well but found parking easily. The road was also closed for traffic as it make it easy to stroll through the street. Overall a good experience.

Jacaranda street, people come as it’s famous location but actually there are still some other places also good for take pics around here with Jacaranda, good pics with safety( watch out vehicles)
