Xenos Restaurant Bar Cafe

As much as I want to gatekeep this place, I have to give credit where it’s due. I recently tried their chicken quinoa and halloumi salad, oyster mornay and hands down the best salad and mornay I’ve ever had in Sydney. I’m recommending to all my friends, along with their moussaka and crispy pork belly—both are to die for. The crispy pork has perfectly cooked crispy skin and melt-in-your-mouth meat. Also, their moussaka tastes just like what we had in Greece, massive portions and reasonably priced.

I also want to thank one of the waitresses. I’m pregnant and I only eat well cooked eggs! After ordered a dish with eggs she came back to me and mentioned that the eggs are not well cooked and if I want them well cooked. It was so nice of her .

The staff really looked after us. The food arrived quickly. Good portion size and absolutely delicious. It was difficult to decide what to order so there were plenty of options. Highly recommend.

We had a family lunch at Xenos for our son's 16th birthday. The staff were friendly, the service was brilliant and the food was superb. I'm a big eater, but even for me the portions were huge. Exceptional value. The filet mignon was the best steak I've had at a restaurant for years.

I've known this restaurant for about 20 years and it's still fantastic. They make the best galakteboureko of the world. I was recently in Athens and the ones I had there were awful. Here it's creamy, light, crispy pastry and the semolina custard is super smooth.

Amazing Greek restaurant, a great little gem in the middle of Crows Nest.
Service was amazing, and even the boss who started the restaurant 55 years ago was amazingly friendly.
We were the last to leave, yet we did not feel like we were being chased out.

My elderly in laws have been visiting Xenos for over 20 years. They eat there many times a week and rave about it constantly. The few times over the years I have visited the restaurant with them the food has always been fresh and delicious and the staff always take exceptional care of my in law's and I am very grateful for their care and patience. Xenos is such a special place. Thank you!

With all the restaurants shrinking their portions and compromising their quality to cope with inflation, Xenos is still going strong. Has been one of my all-time-favourites. They never disappoint. This a a Crows Nest Institution!

It’s been here for generations and likely to stay here for generations more. It’s not the fanciest or trendiest place. But in its slightly dated surrounds they produce some great classic Greek food. Be sure to check out the specials as they had an excellent goat dish. And also they have some different and not usually available Greek wine (try the Cretan one it’s excellent)

We have been going to Xenos Restaurant for many years and it never disappoints. The food is fantastic , fresh , cooked perfectly. The staff are professional and friendly and the restaurant is vibrant and spotless. A very well run business

Food was yummy and serving sizes were adequate. Food took a while but we weren’t in a hurry.
The mezze plate for 2 is good for entre, but next time I might order single items instead. Moussaka is delicious, rich, flavourful and not overly greasy.

After a very successful Christmas lunch we returned for our first Team Lunch for the year. Most of us ordered from the lunch menu which was quite sufficient. Had the Lamb Wraps and they were divine. (One of our members order the delicious steak from the main menu which meant we had to wait a bit longer for the meal so be aware if you are on a time limit!) Highly recommend this restaurant for a 'traditional' freshly made and presented meal - a definite improvement over the chain fastfood or street food options - which is still very reasonably priced.

Perfect summer dining experince. My family and I have know eaten here five times and it is consistent and offers traditional Greek cuisine. Big fan of the white wine from Crete. Also I can’t say no to the Spanakopita!

been here twice now in the past 3/4 months and have enjoyed it both times. the food is generous and unpretentious, tasty and prices fair for what you get. both visits, the service was friendly and efficient. can highly recommend both of tonight's dishes, the lamb souvlaki (very tender) and the twice cooked roast duck (a special). had a "new" Greek beer and a glass of barossa Shiraz, both of which were reasonably priced and very good. highly recommend this place if you want good, old fashioned, honest food at reasonable prices. outside seating is a big plus for me too!

We leave with our bellies full and with big happy smiles every time we eat here! The food is cooked deliciously and all the staff are wonderfully friendly and attentive. We have been here several times this year and every time the food and service is excellent.. The crisy pork belly, the moussaka and the lamb shanks are our favourites!

Trainee waitress excelled and kept a busy night moving well. Reservation outside but an hour before arrival was offered inside due to extreme temp. IF A COOLER NIGHT WOULD HAVE GOT MY USUAL GOAT🤡

This is an old established restaurant busy and a bit noisy but the service was good and the food was great with large servings. You need to book a seat. There's plenty of parking at Woolworths nextdoor. I went with a group of 9 people and it all seem to run smoothly.

Recently celebrated our 5th anniversary here and both the food and atmosphere were great! The food costs probably about 30-50% more than elsewhere, but it shows in the quality and generous sizes!
