The Hayberry Diner & Bar

Love the rustic vibe of this bar, the music they played inside were my favorite, a pretty cool place to hang out at on a Friday evening.

The wide selection of alcohol at the bar counter instantly caught my eyes and my friend and I were after some nice cocktails. The servers were well informant, pretty helpful with the recommendations.

We ordered their signature cocktail which I didn’t remember its name but it was perfectly concocted to my liking. I believe the main ingredient for that drink was lychee and it really brought out the taste of it and made me crave for more, not to mention the unique drawing they crafted on the foam.

One drink wasn’t enough and we went for another cocktail which was good too. I had bbq wings for snacks and they were good, but a tad too spicy for my liking.

This place is such a gem. Would love to come back again for more drinks and hangouts.

Food was great, we had our dog (greyhound) with us, and the staff were amazing. I think they wanted to keep our dog :) Great selection of beers as well. We'll definitely be back!

What we ate:

Beef Nachos & Three Tacos - Pulled Brisket with ranch slaw, chimichurri and pickled onions, Southern Fried Chicken with ranch slaw, chipotle mayo and jalapeños and Baja Fish with lettuce, citrus sour cream and pico di gallo. BEST brisket ever!

Multiple seating options available with a choice of booth style seating in the front bar to watch the bartenders in action and people watch, high tables in a more intimate dimly lit setting with rustic corrugated iron walls lined with whiskey bottles or in a large beer garden at the rear with festooning fairy lights perfect for larger groups. Vibe and music so on point at this Crows Nest gem. Its loud and that’s exactly how it should be! I can’t wait to revisit! Shoutout to Chris and his awesome crew for looking after us. Highly recommend a visit to The Hayberry! 🍸

Really nice friendly bar, great staff and service. Awesome burgers and delicious waffle fries. Really good selection of beers (they rotate the tap beers seasonally)
Really good pub atmosphere, although it can be hard to find a seat at times.
They are only open for lunch on Fridays unfortunately, every other day is evening only

Easily the best burger I’ve had in Crows Nest. Waffle fries were way too crispy though.
Something happened with our order and the kitchen lost our ticket, so it took over an hour for our food to come(it was worth the wait). But Lawrence set us up with a free round of drinks and a voucher for next time. Will definitely be back.

Had a great 21st birthday party in their function room! So easy and flexible to deal with and organise it was a breeze! The staff were absolutely fantastic, great food and a really fun relaxed vibe. We looked at many places and got tired of being told all the extra add on costs, everything we couldn't do and inflexible food menus so the Hayberry was just so accommodating, really considering what we wanted! Thank you so much Lawrence and all the staff for making the party so great!! Highly reccommended!!!

Great craft beer pub.

Food is awesome as always, and particularly the fish tacos. The fish is just right balance of batter to fish ratio and the fish itself was succulent, moist and flavoursome, the relish of tomatoes, onions and parsley are bright and fresh looking with the crunch you'd expect from good quality produced (treated with care).

Staff is knowledgeable on their beers which is great especially it being a craft beer pub.

The Hayberry is easily the best bar in Crows Nest, touting a low-key unpretentious vibe. It has a wonderful craft beer selection, interesting cocktails, a great Americana inspired food menu, and downright amazing staff. Better yet, the playlist constantly slaps.

Nov 2019: Awesome food. Bogan burger (no beetroot or pineapple) w waffle fries and Hickory mayo for dipping. Delicious. Loaded fries looked amazing too
Edit 2023: Still great. Bogan burger unfortunately gone but brisket loaded fried were excellent

Love The Hayberry. Best burgers in Crows Nest served with waffle fries. The popcorn chicken chilli fries are amazing and are a must try for entree. We had a few of their delish cocktails there the other night. Love the atmosphere and friendly staff. Will be back soon.

I wish I didn’t love this place so much - because the awesome waffle chips with the burger and the lovely beer with only continue to make me fat. For now a dinner here is followed by a long fast. Opposite of delayed gratification.

Great burgers and waffle fries. We had the Big Stack and Borderlands.
Pretty cosy bar feel. Can be a bit dark at first, but you get used to it.
Friendly bar staff; happy to give recommendations on drinks.
Has both indoor seating as well as covered outdoor seating.

Always great for a feed, big range of burgers and lots of cool beers and drinks to try. Cool vibe with outdoor courtyard and cozy booths inside.

This place is the whole package. Great food, staff and drinks. Converted my mates into this being the group hangout spot when we go out.

We had my sons 18th birthday there last night. The staff could not have been more accommodating. It was a fabulous experience. We are sure to recommend you.

This is the best bar in Crows Nest, with an American dive bar theme and the best burgers and waffle fries around. Dog friendly out the back, which has a covered seating area and fans.
Always a cool playlist going, usually rock, blues, or country vibe which suits the ambience nicely.
I absolutely love this place and am so glad it pulled through.

Visited this location multiple times and have never been disappointed. Burgers are exceptional, and the service is 12/10

Great burgers not fancy but definitely worth a visit! Being dog friendly in the back of the bar is a big 👍! Cool vibe and great beers.
