Albee's Secret Recipe

We had lunch on recent Sunday at this famous Malaysian restaurant and ordered their unique dishes like Seafood Laksa, stir-fried pork Lo Shu Fan noodle, and few side dishes like pork & seafood roll (Lo Bak Kau), prawn fritters, and chicken curry puffs. All dishes taste good and authentic Malaysian dishes and we especially love the noodle and laksa curry soup. Portion sizes are generous for the prices charged, so you will get nice value for your money. They have many items on their menu and some are unique dishes that you can't find in other Sydney restaurants.

On recent visit, we also tried their Special Char Kue Tiaw and Kuching Laksa from Sarawak, Borneo. The laksa soup is much lighter compared to normal Malaysian laksa and has chicken meats, prawns and omelette slices as toppings. The Char Kue Tiaw is the best I had in Sydney with strong wok hei on crispy lards and has various toppings like lap cheong, prawns, cockles and duck egg.

The place has reasonable ambience but don't expect much since this is just a family restaurant in a quite suburb. The customer services may be a bit slow due to staff shortage, but the dishes were still delivered within reasonable time. You can pay with V/MC credit cards but pay additional 1.5% surcharge.

Really nice Malaysian food. The crispy fried tomato noodles was excellent. Fried chicken was also very good

Delicious and generous malaysian cuisine! Went here with 3 other friends and ordered some dishes to share including a serving of chicken satay skewers, the chicken curry puffs (which are really good and includes a whole boiled egg inside!), cha kwey teow, belacan kangkong and the nyonya style cincalok omelette. We then had our own mains which included the chicken curry with roti and potatoes, nasi lemak and the sarawak laksa

We had grossly underestimated the generosity of each of the dishes and were completely stuffed by the end of it!

Side note on bookings - we went on a Monday night and without a booking however it was pretty busy so I would suggest to book ahead just in case

Have been recommended to visit here many times. I ordered a Char Kway Teow and Hainanese Chicken Rice. Portion sizes were very large which was fantastic. Definitely felt like I got my value for money by coming here. Would love to come back again.

Very popular Malaysian joint for good reason. A huge selection of authentic Malay dishes, with very large portions. Service is fast and staff are knowledgable. Be prepared to wait for a table during peak times. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu but I recommend the Nasi Lemak set.

I have visited Albee's a few times over the years and the Malaysian food here never disappoints. The dishes are tasty, flavoursome and authentic. The dishes are reasonably priced and the portions are generous. I would highly recommend the Currys puffs! We always order 1 to eat and then a dozen to takeaway to enjoy afterwards. Highly recommended!

Malaysia Chinese style cooking. Decent sizes not as vegetarian friendly. Good for families. Crowded after covid. Popular with Asian customers. Loved the okra and Petai. Both very well cooked. Young and fresh veggies.

Starters:
- Pandan chicken 5 ⭐ - too hungry and ate it all before I could snap a picture. The garlic Sambal chilli sauce was awesome!
- Lo bak (like a fresh Chinese sausage )4 ⭐- maybe extra ⭐ also goes well with the Sambal garlic chilli sauce and really authentic!

Mains :
We love noodles so 3 types
- mamak mi goreng 5 ⭐ - just an overall awesome balanced dish
- Char Kuey Tiao - my favorite cause the wok hey char taste (extreme High flame wok fried) and along with those big juicy king prawns and generous amount of bean sprouts 5 ⭐
- Hokkien Char Mi - my mate swears by this and that full flavoured slightly wet sauce coating every noodle but personally I love CKT better 5 ⭐

Sides:
- Sambal Kang Kong 6 ⭐ (that sambal hiam (dried prawn paste) is to die for and I added some fresh red chillies for extra heat
- Sambal petai King prawn - 5 ⭐ (the prawns were so fresh and juicy and the sweet and salty Sambal was spot on!!)

Dessert:

Mix Kueh - 4 ⭐ (especially the Seri muka and tapioca was melt in your mouth sweet and salty creamy delish!)
We asked for chendol but they were slammed with order and kinda busy so they said as we needed to vacate the seats for another booking we switched to the kueh)
Also tapow (takeaway) some bak chang( steamed rice and meat dumplings !)

We really enjoyed the Malaysian dishes here. The BKT soup taste good and portions were generous. We also enjoyed the CKT and Ying Yong which had wok hei!

Easily one of top Malaysian joints in town. Small shop but long tables can accommodate for +8 groups. Serving sizes a massive. Serves is quick and attentive. On busy days, best parking is council parking across the road behind Bunnings and Fast Eddie's Fluidtek.

Popped in to get some takeaways. Ordered Hai Nan chicken, chicken curry and lamb curry which was all amazing and very reasonably priced. The service was friendly and great! Can’t wait to try more delicious meals!!!

Just wow! I may have found the best Malaysian place in Sydney. I got the Nasi Lemak and it was amazing! Great flavours! Excited to come back to try their other dishes.

Great customer service, delicious food (huge servings) with an extensive menu! I get to try something different every time I go there and still haven't tried it all!

What can I say? The plates are cleaned up by my guests. They then bought their family back. What does that say about this restaurant? This is Steven reviewing - Albee! I will be back soon!

Food was so good, really oily so don't have it every day. You can easily share two dishes between two people and end up full. Each dish is about 23-25 dollars. The wait staff are a little rude especially if it's busy. You do have to get up to order your own food and it's a little cramped. For the taste of the food though, it's worth it.

Seriously yummy. Kids love it. Wife loves it. For me, seriously , looking forward for next round. What is more important than a happy family outing. 😎😎😎
