Heard great things about this place for years, finally visited. The eating area is small (fits around 15 people seated) but I think it contributed to the friendly atmosphere. Quick and friendly service from the business owners. I got the Beef Brisket with Bread Roll - the beef brisket stew is hearty and full of flavour, and the bread is perfect for dipping. Modest serving but filling because of how hearty it is. 5/5.

Absolutely yummmmy roast pork banh mi and stuffed full of fresh ingredients~

Edit:
Came back to try the Bún riêu (crab shrimp paste nope soup) and it is SUPER FLAVOURFUL
The shrimp and crab paste was the flavour bomb~ and the chilli balances with the acidity of the tomato-shrimp base soup
The soup also came with tofu, fish cakes and pork slices!

The rice paper rolls were stuffed with pork slices and prawns, which were paired soooo well with the sauce ~

2024 update: still love this place. Going 5 stars.

Love this place, although options are limited, they are good at what they offer.
The pork rolls are tasty, warm and absolute value.
The noodles, especially the dry vermicelli combo is delicious.
The ladies are efficient and kind.
Highly recommend.

This is a real gem, modest prices, well balanced food run by the same ladies for more than 40 years. Menu includes pork rolls, noodles & rice dishes, soup & spring and summer rolls. But you'll have to come back for the coconut dessert drinks otherwise someone will have to roll you home.

What a great little place! There are 4 ladies working there everyday and they know how to make authentic food. Delicious banh mi and Vietnamese buns available in store or take away. They also serve cold and hot drinks, definitely recommend Vietnamese ice coffee with condensed milk.

a good place to enjoy yourself Vietnamese cuisine in the Homebush area.
You can also have a dine-in, not just a takeaway, however, it may be longer since this place is quite busy during the weekend as well.

One of the best places for Banh mi! The 'dipdip' (a pork meatball in tomato sauce, served with warm crusty bread) is another excellent choice. Drinks are tasty and well priced. Love to come here for breakfast after a long bike ride.

I try to come here once a week if my schedule permits. Weekend 腸粉 is a MUST have with a taro/turnip option.

Been coming here for years .

Lovely owner and staff. They have the same staff for decades.

Not a big selection but all dishes are nice, have this cleaning taste, like home cooking.

They keep the place really clean which is so important to us.

They have fed when I was young and now my whole family.

Thank you to Happy Snack

Unassuming, simple little cafe but the food is prepared with love. Small menu but I have never been disappointed with a single dish. Beef brisket with bread roll is a crowd favourite.. the bread is baked fresh, soft inside and crispy outside. We come most weekends for breakfast and it's our some reason to get up early 😁

Unassuming cafe style, great service and fantastic pork rolls. The real gem is the beef stew Bo Kho. So much flavour, a delicious crusty roll and only $6.50! I can't help myself, I have to go at least once a week.

Excellent place to drop in and get take away pork roll and sugar cane juice! The juice is freshly squeezed and tasty pork roll made with fresh ingredients. Gets very busy during lunch time on the weekend.

On this occasion though I ordered the vermicelli, spring roll and sausage salad which came with the tasty nuoc nam sauce. Highly recommended!

I have been to every restaurants this owner has had on the same street. She started Saigon restaurant, at least 25 yrs ago and then sold. Since then, she has ben selling drinks and snacks and slowly increasing her selections.

Whatever this lady owner does is top class, with passion, clean and does it well. I have tried most of her dishes over the years, except the buns that is because i don't like buns in general. They are all yummy.

In addition, she is also a lovely lady and its obvious she knows what she is doing. My son now buys from her.

Our family favourite is theit bun guon, hoi guon and drinks.
