Australia Post - Arncliffe LPO

Say what you want about Australia Post, most of it is true, this post office on the other hand is always so helpful, goes that extra step and despite the exhausting work load and endless queue of already grumpy customers, in most instances, greets you with a great attitude.

A bit shocked at the number of scathing reviews.. in the last 3 years I've been going here the staff have been nothing but helpful. Yes, sometimes you have to wait, but I have never been met with rudeness while they work a clearly understaffed LPO. We have issues where our delivery slips often dont get delivered but even so the staff have always searched in the back for me even when I don't have a tracking number.
Lots of people complaining about "Fake Eyelash Lady" that I can't help but feel its unjustified and maybe casting some unfair judgement. At least in my experience we have always had good interactions and she is always willing to have a laugh.
I think its clear this staff are under the pump, show a little patience and it will go a long way.

Those reviews towards the *Fake Eyelash Lady* is so intentional. I've been to Arncliffe LPO so many times and I always saw her serving with friendliness and smile. I have been served several times by her too and she was efficient and knew what she was doing.

Look, if you don't have tracking number, then please go find out from the sender and come back. No one has time to check in the pile looking for your name.

And they do call you back if they couldn't find your parcel couldn't be found at the time. Happened to me twice.

Those complaining about opening hours, use parcel lockers and other methods if you don't want to go to Post Office. Authorise someone else to collect on your behalf etc. There are so many alternatives.

It's always 9-5 M to F and 9-12 S as opening hours. If you still show up just 5 mins before closing time or can only go on Sat morning, it's your problem if you can't manage earlier. Clearly you have more important things to do before you have to make it right before it closes.

Respect and Courtesy are both ways. If you don't give kindness, don't expect it back for free.

I had no issues when claiming and returning my parcel so I'm happy with the service.

I've had very good experiences on 3 occasions in the last 2 months. I've come running in at 4.45pm, asking for satchels, stamps, asking what's the best way to send this or that thing... and I've had staff looking up price comparisons between postage & satchels, and helping me choose the best option. When I told Peter I'd be giving a good review, Sharon, Ash and Sue all called out their names, saying "Don't forget us!" The atmosphere was fun, and the attitude was helpful.

I definitely understand all of the low reviews, but I really think that this LPO deserves a lot more credit.

Every worker I've spoken to there has done their best to help me get my packages. They've worked their butts off in the middle of the most difficult time for AusPost. We always have a joke and a laugh when I get to the counter - even when the queue is huge!

I hope they have a chance soon to get the respect and thanks they deserve - maybe a raise, and/or another staff member to help out! Whatever happens, I always know that the staff at this LPO will do what they can to help :^)

The girl with false eyelashes is so lovely and helpful, she has served me multiple times and is always eager to help. Those suggesting she is anything other than that, I would suggest you rethink how you are approaching people in the service industry. In my experience, you get exactly what you give.

They staff there are always very helpful and fast even when they are busy, honestly the best post office I've been to.

We send parcels regularly, and in the past did so for our business. Excellent and prompt service.

Updated to 5 stars!! With new owners who are super friendly and organised I now don't have to worry about getting packages delivered to my home! Bonus that they are now open on Saturdays as well.

Worst post office I have ever dealt with. They often forget to put a parcel delivery slip in my mailbox and it's only when I call the company I ordered the parcel from that they tell me that it's sitting at the Arncliffe post office. I've tried calling them but no one answers the phone. Every time I have gone in there to collect mail they are so rude and unhelpful and never seem to be in much of a hurry to serve you.

I remember times when people frighten children with stories about this office but after the owner change and renovation it became one of the best offices in Sydney. Friendly staff, quick service, they even open on Saturdays now! We've started getting deliveries even after hours when you get home from work! Before it was just a calling card without any attempt to deliver.

This post office has the best customer service I have ever experienced from any Australia post outlet. Sue and her team go out of their way to ensure customer needs are met. The store is tidy and has everything you could possibly need. 10/10 every visit!

Yes, sometimes it may come across harshly if they're trying to find something, ("Yes, it's here!"- commenter below)but I assure you, they're very friendly, it's the accent, not the demenour.
I have noticed that sometimes, there is a lag between receiving information via text or email that the parcel is back at the PO, to when it actually gets back to the PO for pickup- however this is not their fault, but one of Aus Posts.
The fact that they have parcels coming out their ears and manage to look after them all= excellent.

All of the bad reviews relate to the old owners. I still shudder in fear thinking about them as the service was so poor and rude that I refused to go in there. But now all that has changed as there are new owners and Arncliffe Post Office is now like any other professionally run post office where you get a speedy service of them finding and handing your parcel to you without being interrogated about what it looks like and then them being unable to find it as they had no process for storing parcels. All of us living in Wolli Creek are so happy for the new owners and no longer live in fear that if the Wolli Creek parcel locker is full we are forced to go to Arncliffe Post Office. Of course I refused to go in there during the reign of the old owners and instead demanded over phone they forward my package to another post office instead. But those days are gone and we now have new owners and new staff that actually provide a professional post office service without the rudeness and complete incompetence displayed by under the old owners. The new owners and staff are gladly welcomed by all local residents. Welcome, we are all so happy you are here!

Update: Jan-2018 Arncliffe LPO has new management, working hours and got renovate. I'm very satisfied with the current service.

Complete disaster every time, rude stuff, bad service and stupid working hours from 9 am till 5 am Mon to Fri. Every time I receive a parcel I need to take a day off to collect it?
Not to forget that it took them between 3 days to 2 weeks to leave the notification cards, also all my letters envelopes are for some reasons dirty with smudged fingers!

Excellent and friendly staff, always helpful and polite. Unfortunatelly, they get a lot of negative feedbacks from customers for the action of Australia post contractrs/drivers who fail to deliver parcels. It's not their fault, I feel sorry for the staff who actually works at the office. Anyways, thank you for your service, Arncliffe guys!

I’ve lived in the area for many years and with the change of management a few years ago( prob explain the low ratings from previous owner ) it has been a breath of fresh air! Always polite efficient and awesome service . 10stars Thanks !

Hands down the best Post Office in the South West. These guys work around the clock - even on the weekend (when most are closed). We ave been going here for many years, since the new owners have taken over, and the experience is always a good one. During Covid the queues were sometimes to the traffic lights and to deal with THAT many people in such a short amount of time is outstanding. The downside to this extremely busy business is some of the extremely rude clientele they have to put up with every few minutes spelting their demands. Tiring right? Well for most of us it would be, but for the staff here they soldier on and keep their calm. Get to know these people, theyre small business owners and a not a corporate people churner.

1star- One f*ed up post office! Horrible service. The employees can not talk English and are rude. !

Updated review 5 stars- The post office is now managed by a different set of people. The couple at the counter are friendly and kind. I had to update my review.! 5 stars to the new Management.

Auspost is never perfect and definitely have its share of issues. But Arncliffe branch is always really speedy and not understaffed. Props to the team and the management!
