Business must be affected with all the negative reviews they’ve gotten previously from Little Zaks. Now that they’ve been renamed to Mini Masterminds, all those 1-star reviews are gone! So they can start anew I guess.
But let me warn all parents out there that this is the worst child care centre and would not recommend placing your child under their care at all! Do not be deceived by their “nice looking” reception area for it is not what it seems to be. When I enrolled my 3yo child there last year, on his first day only, he immediately lost his favourite dummy! They kept trying to help me look for it by gathering all the children’s dummies but still could not find the right one. He lost a pair of his socks too and we never got it back. When I asked for it, they offered me to look for it myself from a sock-filled drawer, I said “No, thanks” of course!
My child was potty training then and would always always tell an adult when he has to go potty. But in this centre, he probably peed his pants more times than he did at home or at the other centre he goes to on other days. It tells me, that they were short-staffed and could not attend to a child’s needs as quickly as they can. This centre also has this weird smell of sweat and mould. When we come and pick—up our son, more often than not, there will be no educators around to give me updates or to handover my son properly to me. Sometimes, the kids will be gathered in one area of the room as they watch an animated movie on TV or they will be in a far far corner of the room that even when educators have seen a parent arrive, they just do nothing nor ask who they’re picking up. They will just catch a glimpse of you then ignore you the whole time you’re standing by the door. I waited instead until my son’s friends call him as they tell him that his mommy is here. My son also had an incident wherein he was hit by a block right on his nose by another child during playtime. The other child meant to push my son away as he didn’t want to play with him but was holding a wooden block on his hand then. It’s not the other child’s fault of course. But no one saw it. Only when my son approached an educator to complain that his nose was painful, did they realise that he grew a large bump on it! So who were watching them? How is it that not one educator saw what happened and had to review the CCTV to see how the accident happen? The incident happened at 10am but they called me to report the incident only at 2pm. So I rushed to pickup my son and immediately pulled him out from this centre and informed them that it’ll be his last day there. That was in Sept2022.
Now from June 2023, I’ve been getting email notifications of a credit balance from this centre and found out that they still owed me a refund of $305.70! I have been chasing for it since then, and even went to visit their centre once in person in July, but with still no updates from them. This centre has been causing me pain and hardships ever since I’ve enrolled my child and wished that I never knew it’s existence.

UPDATE: Finally got my refund back on Nov.06, 2023! That’s 5 months of chasing and waiting since I’ve been notified of my balance from when I withdrew my child from their centre last year! Better late than never, I guess.
