The Heritage Garden Reviews

We are glad we had the opportunity to stay here. We had a 3-night stay and loved it. The ability to walk around the garden each evening was for us a highlight. The garden is fantastic.
The cottage itself, has a lounge with fireplace a kitchen and a dining room and separate shower and loo and being a single bedroom naturally is perfect for a couple. We also had our dog with us, and he was comfortable there and welcomed. The booking process was no issue and the breakfast provisions, that are part of the stay, were perfect. We got fresh eggs and mushrooms, tomato and avocado as well as a selection of cereals, muesli, jams and fresh bread provided on arrival, as well as a very yummy bottle of Pinot Gris and some cheese and biscuits. And our dietary needs were taken into account and not a problem.
You can cook there on the single induction plate. Or it is not far to go out for a meal. The story of the cottage and garden is worth reading about whilst you are there.
The location is great, close to Sevenhill and Clare, yet so quiet and peaceful. Shady parking at the door was nice. Thanks so much.

We stayed 4 nights in the beautifully renovated Heritage Garden Cottage. Heaps of space, comfortable and cosy. Here, the B in B&B is absolutely true with a complementary bottle of wine and cheese, please everything you could want for hot and cold breakfasts. We needed a little more butter for our last day, so Alana dropped some over.
But the real gem about staying here is the Heritage Garden. We were there in late January (probably the hardest time for a SA garden), but it was still impressive. Can't wait to go back in late spring/early summer when all the roses will be in bloom and the scent must be amazing.
We came to ride the Reisling Trail and its about 2.5km on quiet sealed roads to the rail trail, which is of good quality (we rode our road bikes with 28mm tyres without problem, but probably even nicer with wider tyres).
The cottage is close to local restaurants - we ate at the Sevenhill Hotel (they don't have a wine list, you go to the cellar to select your wine), and the Watervale Hotel which offers excellent and high quality dining.
Many local wineries of which Sevenhill was a highlight for the amazing history of the Jesuits (huge church and monastery in the fields) and great wines, and Kilikanoon for the quality of the wines.

Such a beautiful place.
You wouldn't know it exists.
But I'm extremely glad I took my tour group there.
No I can share my experience.
We arrived for morning tea, toured the grounds after and then had lunch.
There is a B&B also so you can relax in the tranquillity of the area.
It'd be great too for a wedding as the grounds are huge.
I definitely recommend coming here.

We've been to quite a few Open Gardens in Adelaide but this is the best we've ever seen. By a long way. When you walk through the many rose gardens the perfume is wonderful. We appreciate the opportunity to see this garden.
