Commercial Hotel - Cowell

Had a great meal here tonight. 2 meals of Surf N Turf were ordered.. both meals were delivered within 15 minutes of ordering. One of which was ordered without the garlic sauce due to an allergy. The chef cooked both steaks to perfection (medium rare). The chips were crispy and perfectly cooked. Staff were extremely pleasant. Would definitely recommend it.

Thoroughly recommend the Commercial Stack served on the menu at the Commercial Hotel in Cowell. Never before seen or eaten a similar meal. Looks great and tastes even better. Well done.

Great country hotel, food is really good. Team are all friendly and helpful. You'll be happy you called in here for lunch or dinner and a cold one.

I had the small serving of King George Whiting, it wasn't that small. It was very nice. Very friendly service. Highly recommend.

Called in for a cold drink and a meal on Thursday evening and coffee on Saturday arvo while holidaying in Cowell, the service was excellent, the food was great and the price was good. Thank you Commercial Hotel.

Had beautiful oysters, tried kilpatrick, Japanese with Mirin and natural.... all superb. Went back 2 days in a row. Soups on both days were home-made, roast was juicy and fresh, fish and calamari special, exceptional. Beer was cold, staff friendly, we'll definitely be back.

Very good wine and the fish of the day Salmon is delicious.

Don't miss oysters when you visit next time they are super fresh.

We had dinner at 6pm and the guy who have delivered oysters to the restaurant, said that the oysters in our menu were taken out from water around 5pm the same day. Amazing.

Incredible surf and turf Scotch fillet. Perfectly done medium rare. One of the best steaks I've had in such a long time. Only thing was the venue had no music playing, just a TV which felt Strange. Not gonna take a star away for it though

Great fisherman’s basket of dinner of local oysters and prawns (definitely not farmed), whiting, calamari etc. Not your typical pub grub’.

Great lunch, Oyster 🦪 were so tasty & the schnitzel special was good value on a Wednesday. Dog friendly on the outside tables 🐾 ❤

Fantastic food, excellent menu, great prices. We went here with a party of 24. Staff went above and beyond. Every meal came out quickly perfectly cooked. Every person was really happy with their meal.

This is a good oldworld hotel. The meals are excellent and the drinks prices are very reasonable. The service was prompt despite being quite busy on grand final day and the staff very friendly. Make sure you visit if near Cowell.

Friendly staff and meals are always great. Awesome little pub and quiet often go here for schnitzel night on Wednesday nights.

A old historic Hotel just across from the bakery and the black stump in Cowell that can please everyone.
This place has Great friendly service and happy hour go's from 3pm to 5pm every day of the week.
With very nice meals including pizza's for the hungry family with a huge dining area.
There's also sip and save if you want a take away drink.
